Prevention of chronic hepatitis

The topic of his thesis Prevention of chronic hepatitis I chose both because of the interest in this issue and for providing opportunities for Precautionary question this current issue affecting not only professional, but especially the general public. The aim of this work was to give a brief overview of the various etiologic agents involved in the development of chronic hepatitis. The text is devoted to attention essentially only chronic viral hepatitis, which may preventive measures apply most. Other chronic hepatitis are only listed in the Summary and below them are not given wider attention. Preventive part is focused on general preventive measures against the spread of hepatitis vaccination against hepatitis B. The basis for the treatment of this topic was largely applicable legislation governing the issues.

Analysis of the conditions for market entry of a foreign investor

Práce popisuje a analyzuje investiční prostředí zemí Visegrádské čtyřky a tok PZI postupně do České republiky, Polska, Maďarska a na Slovensko. Tato analýza je prováděna především s ohledem na zavedení a vývoj investičních pobídek a jejich odlišnosti v aktuálních systémech. Dále popisuje základní charakteristiky forem investičních pobídek a podmínek pro obdržení veřejné podpory, odvozuje souvislosti mezi objemy a strukturami zahraničních investic. Ukazuje tedy do jaké míry bylo alokační rozhodnutí investorů založeno na veřejných pobídkách. Pro komplexnost analýzy všech podmínek pro investiční rozhodování jsou na závěr zmíněny další důležité determinanty, které podstatně ovlivňují alokaci kapitálu.

Testaments in Jihlava during years 1578-1590. (History of family and household, historic demography and sociotopography)

Studium testamentů začíná mít v posledním desetiletí mnoho příznivců z řad naší odborné veřejnosti. Ne neprávem. Postupem času se ukazuje, že dochované, leckde téměř nepřetržité řady testamentů z různých měst českých zemí v sobě skrývají další a další netušené informace pro pochopení života měst i jejich obyvatel ve své každodenní realitě. Zároveň JSou vedeny kriticky zaměřené diskuse o metodologických otázkách, spjatých s takovým studiem. Příkladem mohou být i četné příspěvky a podněty, které zazněly na první konferenci věnované speciálně tomuto problému, která se konala v HÚ AV ČR 30. listopadu 2005 pod názvem "Pozdně středověké testamenty v českých městech". Tato problematika se stala i předmětem mé diplomové práce. Na jejím začátku stálo překvapivé zjištění, v jakém množství a zároveň neuvěřitelně celistvé podobě jsou zachovány testamentární zápisy přesahující několik staletí, jež jsou uchovávány ve Státním okresním archivu v Jihlavě. Tato práce si nemůže klást za cíl zhodnocení dané problematiky ve své celistvosti a úplnosti, ani pro podmínky v kontextu místně a časově vymezených limitů tématu, tedy Jihlavy v letech 1578-1590. Tensions Within the Abolitionist Movement in the United States of America

The thesis deals with the abolitionist movement in the United States of America and approaches it as an internally disunited movement. It focuses on the conflicts between its most influential representatives, including William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglass. Different motives of the anti-slavery leaders' involvement in the matter are analyzed and used to explain the arguments among these. Attention is given to the problem of racial oppression as one of the main forces having determined not only the development of the abolitionist movement but also the events following the 1865 Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, mostly the rise of the Black nationalism movement and of black racism. Even though many abolitionists saw slavery as based on racism and, therefore, endeavored to reach its abolition, in practice, many of them refused to acknowledge racial equality between white and African American people. This paradox is one of the central problems of American abolitionism examined in the thesis. How Bank Competition Influences Financial Stability

How Bank Competition Influences Financial Stability Abstract This paper investigates the link between financial stability and bank competition by means of the Arellano & Bond (1991) GMM model using annual panel data over the period 2000 - 2014 for 205 countries. Our data source is a new, richer and updated dataset The Global Financial Development Database available at World Bank. Due to the specifics of this dataset we are able to use new combinations of measures of financial stability and of bank competition and to study their relationship in greater depth. We find a positive link between financial stability and bank competition. Furthermore, our results provide evidence that it matters what measures of financial stability and bank competition we apply. Lastly, we ascertain that the relationship between financial stability and bank competition does not change over time. Western Balkans and Austrian position on the EU integration of Western Balkans

Rozbor oficiálních stanovisek EU k rozšíření EU o země Západního Balkánu (Chorvatsko, Makedonie, Černá Hora, Albánie, BiH, Srbsko, nově Kosovo) ukazuje na zdrženlivost EU k vlastnímu aktu přijetí. Přes všechna prohlášení o vůli přijmout tyto země, tato vyjádření zůstávají spíše proklamací, bez vyhlášení konkrétních dat přijetí těchto zemí do společenství. Na rozdíl od Rakouska, která jako jediná země EU deklaruje co nejrychlejší rozšíření EU o země Západního Balkánu přímo ve vládním programu jako prioritu své zahraniční politiky. Motivace Rakouska je založena na důkladné ekonomické analýze situace, kdy Rakouské investice do těchto zemí jsou nejvyšší ze všech zemí EU. Mezi Rakouskem a zeměmi Západního Balkánu a Rakouskem probíhá čilý obchod i pohyb osob, na který ostatní země EU nejsou ještě připraveny. Překážkou rychlého přijetí se tedy jeví důvody povahy nikoliv ekonomické, ale politické. Evropská unie se shoduje na roku 2008 jako na roku klíčovém v přístupových jednáních. V době publikace této práce ovšem EU nebyla s to jako celek schválit nezávislost Kosova. Minimálně tento bod zůstává otevřen k dořešení v roce 2008 spolu s dalšími body týkajícími se příštího rozšíření. EU má v této chvíli (duben 2008) jasno, že favorizovanými kandidáty pro přístup jsou Chorvatsko, Makedonie a Albánie, zatím bez konkrétního data přístupu.

Access to healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic

This Ph.D. thesis discusses the evolution and current situation regarding availability of healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic. In terms of methodology, the author has chosen a qualitative approach. The research design is a historical case study. The thesis uses a combination of "desk research" and empirical survey based on 56 in-depth interviews with migrants, healthcare providers and experts who come into contact with migrants during the course of their work. Based on the approach of historical institutionalism, the author is explaining policy of migrants' health insurance evolution in Czech Republic since 1993 till today. The author identifies the key events and the roles of particular actors within the observed "sub- system" of public policy. From the viewpoint of migrants and healthcare providers, the thesis also presents how the current institutionalised set-up of migrants' health policy transfers into the real access to healthcare for migrants. It also identifies the main barriers to health care accessibility and the consequences of possible health care unavailability. McDonaghland as a global village

The objective of this e-ssay is to explore various possible perspectives -of looking at Martin McDonagh's work. The author of so far six extremely successful plays premiered between the years 1996-2003 has engaged much critical attention as belonging both to the British and Irish theatrical context. However, another important circumstance of his work is that of the globalized, supranational context. I would like to prove that it is in this context where the parodic strategy of his plays is most powerful. The theoretical background of this thesis is represented by Marshall McLuhan's book War and Peace in the Global Village, Zygmun-d- Bauman's book Globalizatio~d Linda Hutcheon's/oetics of Postmodernism.

Mesuring of economic performance of regions

The aim of this diploma thesis is to cover the catching up with the economic level among the countries of middle and eastern Europe. More accurately it analyses GDP per capita and household income per capita as one of the key economic indicators. The thesis concretely focuses on analysis of beta and sigma convergence and cluster analysis of the mentioned regions and concurrently at the background of the analysis explains some theoretical terms from areas of economics, econometrics and statistics. The analysis was concluded in IBM SPSS programme which belongs to the most complex, user friendly and professionally often used expert tools. The data for the analysis were used from Eurostat.

Comparison of the development of tax administration in Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia

The thesis focuses on comparison of the development of tax administration in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, through the administrative costs of tax collection in various areas connected to tax administration (staff, information technology). The primary objective of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of the basic theoretical issues pertaining to the given theme. Subsequently pays particular attention to assessing the development of tax administrations of selected countries for the period mainly from 2005 to 2013. In the end, there is the comparison of and outline the differences in the development of the tax administrations of the selected countries.
