Title: Developing a dancing-motion programme for senior citizens Objectives: The objective of this diploma work was to develop and apply a dancing-motion programme for seniors and to characterize its benefits for senior individuals aged between 60 and 90. Methods: Using quantitative and qualitative methods we evaluated the quality of developing a dancing-motion programme for seniors. We used the method of inquiry with the techniques of survey, observation and group interview. The praxix took place in a chosen retirement home during the time period of three months. Results: The achieved results of my work are described in detail in the result part of my work and summarized in its discussion part. The results of our research showed that although the developing and the application of the dancing-motion programme was positively evaluated by the probational group, its level of difficulty did not quite suit the seniors' psysical abilities and that is why it was found difficult by them. Key words: Dancing-motion activity, seniors, dancing-motion programme

A methodology proposal of swimming style crawl based on programmed teaching procedure
RAMBOUSKOVÁ, Veronika
The main task of this bachelor`s final project is to propose a methodology of a course for the front crawl. The course should contain relevant methodological cards, questionnaires of self - control etc., which were coming out from programmatic and creatively oriented lessons. It was using method of scaling, of an experiment and the method of testing. I mainly placed emphasis on the practical part. My goal was to verify the theoretical observations in the profession. Therefore five methodological cards for teaching of students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Faculty of Education were designed. In this class it was possible to compare four groups of young women in the age of 20 years. All groups had about 16 members. Two groups had a very good technique of swimming. The other two groups were at a worse level. Unfortunately it was not possible to confront two groups at the same level, because many people from one group at the worse level was not able to swim even 20 m by the front crawl. That is why I had to compare a worse group with a better control group. The designed methodological cards were presented during five lessons in the period 22.2. {--} 21.3. 2008. I was showing the cards to the worse group, which had the possibility to see the cards during the whole experiment. The second group did not have this possibility. Besides I made questionnaires of self {--} control, which were filled up by both two groups at the end. In a questionnaire there were ten questions about the technique of the front crawl. The worse group made six mistakes in average. The second {--} better group had ten mistakes altogether. At the end everybody had to swim 20 m by the front crawl and then gained a mark from 1 to 5. The average mark of the first worse group was 2, 7 and 1, 76 in the second better group. The tests, which are shown here, are described in detail in chapters 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Dialogue methods in adult education
Pecháčková, Iva ; Reichel, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Milan (advisor)
My Bachelor final paper describes the possibilities and limits of using chosen dialogue methods in adult education. Chapter One explores the contents and etymology of the concepts of dialogue, discussion, debate and method. Chapter Two places dialogue methods within the context of adult education methodology, names some theoretical reasons for their existence and mentions a couple of common techniques. Chapters Three to Five each introduce one complex system of methods based on dialogue; Socratic dialogue in the Nelson-Heckmann tradition, academic debating and Open Space Technology. Each chapter initially states the origin and philosophical background of the method in question, then explains how the method usually operates and eventually discusses its chances of being used in everyday adult education. Chapter Six compares the three previously described methods. Chapter Seven contains a description and an analysis of the theory of dialogue education by the American adult educator Jane Vella. The chapter also offers some case studies that illustrate the theory.

Central government deficit financing via issues of bonds
Novák, Alexander ; Radová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Veselá, Jitka (referee)
This diploma thesis surveys debt instruments used in OECD and European Union member countries for financing central government deficits and the techniques of selling government bonds. The volume and structure of the central government deficit and debt in the Czech Republic as well as organization of debt management office are subjected to a detailed analysis. Debt management accomplishments are confronted with the set out strategy and its objectives. The thesis also consists of the characteristics of securities in use (treasury bills, medium-term and long-term government bonds) as well as of legal regulations of auctions by which the securities are placed on the domestic market. An independent subchapter is dedicated to foreign issues of bonds.

A reflexion of Lima in the work of Julio Ramón Ribeyro
Torresová, Hana ; Housková, Anna (advisor) ; Fousek, Michal (referee)
The thesis aims at reflection of Lima in several pieces of literary work by Peruvian writer Julio Ramón Ribeyro: two novels Geniecillos dominicales and Cambio de guardia and chosen stories from his early work. Lima appeared in Peruvian literature even before, but it was Ribeyra who achieved to depict Lima's atmosphere thanks to his using modern techniques, which he acquired by reading European authors. He does not focus only on simple description of the city as the place where the characters meet and influence one another. On the contrary, descriptive scenes are in his work rare. They are mostly written in phrases without active verbs - this technique reminds us of film shots. A reader gets to know the characters according to their acting and expressions as well as according to the places where they move along and habits they keep. For better orientation, the thesis divides Ribeyro's view on Lima into three categories: the first comprises the city itself, with its streets, squares, buildings, means of transport, etc. Ribeyra intended to catch the changes in Lima in 50's, the time of great boom of industry, destruction of the old quarters of the city and construction of the new ones. He shows the nostalgia of the citizens who long for the old face of Lima, cling to old things and detest all the new and...

Summits between USA and USSR in 1988 in Czechoslovakian press
Kvapilík, Ondřej ; Bachová, Jana (referee) ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis named "Summits between USA and USSR in 1985 and 1988 in Czechoslovakian Press" deals with the presentation of the summit meetings in Geneva and Moscow in contemporary Czechoslovakian newspapers and compares it with regard to the development of relations between the two superpowers and the change in the media environment of the Soviet bloc. In the theory section the thesis provides relevant historical context of the theme, such as information on censorship in Czechoslovakia or the policy of Glasnost, and characterizes both the monitored periodicals and the summit meetings between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, which took place in the second half of 1980's. The practical part covers detailed qualitative content analysis of the selected Czechoslovakian press, that is the Rudé právo, Zemědělské noviny and Svobodné slovo dailies. The presentation of the summit meetings is then summarized with regard to the employed journalist techniques, the topics covered in contemporary periodicals and the characteristics of the summit meetings in specialized literature. In the end the thesis compares the presentation of both summit meetings and searches for the cause of respective differences and the development of the media presentation of the events. The conclusion of the thesis then recapitulates...

Skin equivalents in basic and applied research: Development of human hair equivalents
Havlíčková, Blanka ; Arenberger, Petr (advisor) ; Pánková, Růžena (referee) ; Salavec, Miloslav (referee) ; Vízek, Martin (referee)
In this study, three novel organotypic human folliculoid assays for basic and applied hair research were developed. Two organotypic "sandwich" systems consist of a pseudodermis (collagen I mixed with and contracted by human interfollicular dermal fibroblasts) on which one of two upper layers is placed: either a mixture of Matrigel™ and follicular dermal papilla fibroblasts (DPC), with outer root sheath keratinocytes (ORSK) layered on the top ("layered sandwich" system), or a mixture of Matrigel™, DPC and ORSK ("mixed sandwich" system). Third, the patented new technique generating human folliculoid microspheres (HFM), consisting of human DPC and ORSK within an extracellular matrix was established. Studying a number of different markers (e.g. proliferation, apoptosis, cytokeratin- 6, versican), it was shown that these folliculoid systems, cultured under well-defined conditions retain several essential epithelial-mesenchymal interactions characteristic for human scalp hair follicle. Selected, recognized hair growthmodulatory agents modulate these parameters in a manner that suggests that all developed organotypic systems allow the standardized pre-clinical assessment of test agents on relevant human hair growth markers under substantially simplified in vitro conditions that approximate the in vivo situation....

Coanda effect in valves
Uruba, Václav ; Procházka, Pavel P. ; Skála, Vladislav
Coanda effect takes place in flow within valves diffuser for certain conditions. The valve plug in\nhalf-closed position forms wall-jet, which could be stable or instable, depending on geometry and other\nconditions. This phenomenon was subject of experimental study using time-resolved PIV technique. For the acquired data analysis the special spatio-temporal methods have been used.

Effect of a soft tissue on vocal tract acoustic resonance properties in vocal exercises using phonation into tubes
Radolf, Vojtěch ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Laukkanen, A. M.
Mathematical model is introduced to clarify the influence of the vocal tract soft tissues on the acoustic resonance (formant) frequencies. The influence is studied in the context of voice therapy technique that uses phonation into tubes. Strong acoustc-structural interaction is demonstrated to take place in the vocal tract when it is prolonged by a tube with the distal end in air or submerged 2 cm and 10 cm in water. The numerical results from the model are compared with the resonance frequencies measured in humans.
