An Interactive DNA Computing Simulator
Kovács, Martin ; Petrlík, Jiří (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work is to summarize the basic principles of operations performed over DNA molecules and to demonstrate their usage in solving some hard mathematical problems. In particular, the Hamiltonian Path Problem  -- HPP (also known as the Traveling Salesman Problem) will be considered as a case study. A fundamental approach introduced by Leonard Adleman will be desctribed to solve the HPP using the DNA operations. His work may be considered as the first experiment in the area that is currently known as DNA computing. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to implement an interactive software simulator (based on the principles and formal models of Adleman's work) for solving the HPP and to evaluate its abilities with respect to area complexity considering various instances of HPP.

The thesis on topic Event Management - solution of event project, field IT and logistics deals with the real project realized by company with particularly logistic branch, where the author is working. Whole thesis is about event, which was realized from November 2011 till March 2012. The aim of this thesis is to highlight problems linked to the project and event management and also to point out which methods are used in relation to the very realization of logistic forum. The reader of this thesis should be able to find out what the preparation, realization and implementation of the project contain and in which way might be used. Theoretical part clarify what the project and event management contains, which methodics are normally used and try to map different concepts of project and event management and what principles should be followed. Practical part deals with a real event, how gradually progressed in the implementation and project plan will be compared with the reality. This thesis is based on empiric method, especially on kind of empiric method -- project. For solving the main goal of thesis is used basically interpretation method - to show whole process of making this event. The conlusion and as a matter of fact hypothesis is to prove succesful realization based on theoretical principles of project and evetn management.

Natural and Artificial Intelligence
Šaněk, Petr ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Brixí, Radim (referee)
This work deals with the field of artificial intelligence and the interconnected question of the possibility to make thinking machines. The natural and human intelligence evolution summary outlines the starting points of the field. To give the clearer picture of the problem, I also describe the development of artificial intelligence branch and the development of computers. My work combines informatics and philosophical approaches. In the scope of the first one, I summarize different approaches to AI, with emphasis on sub-symbolic methods which are used afterwards to explain the concept of intelligence development. In the scope of the philosophical approach, the text deals with different philosophical points of view on making intelligent machines, which comment phenomena like consciousness, subjective experience or the body-mind problem. I contradict the use of intuition to solve the thought experiments dealing with mind and I argue for the possibility to make intelligent machines. The futurology visions are the last starting point for stating my opinion on the future development of IA and human ability to make the thinking machine.

Scientific and technical development and its global political and security consequences
Nedbal, Richard ; Lehmannová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Sršeň, Radim (referee)
Despite the fact that majority of world's public presumably doesn't follow current development of problem-solving in natural sciences very closely, results of the research in these highly specialized branches of knowledge have had profound imact on everyday life of entire mankind even over the period of the last century; this thesis describes the effects of this phenomenon on the political and security level. This thesis shows that not only apparently strategic-related fields of research affect the relations within the global community, but that even the pieces of knowledge produced by seemingly strictly academic scientific disciplines have significant effects on this problematic. Thus, political and security situation is profoundly affected by discoveries in modern mathematics, by applications of contemporary findings in physics and chemistry, as well as by sciences concerned with further exploration of the planet Earth and also by those natural sciences that deepen understanding of humankind. Also, we can presume that importance of these scientific disciplines shall not grow lesser in the future; in fact, both the development of knowledge itself and its significance for the international community can be expected to bring on many challenges that will have to be dealt with by foremost scientists as well as by representatives of various countries and international organizations.

Inventory bookkeeping in a selected manufacturing firm in field of electrotechnics, comparison of bookkeeping with similar company of german provenance
VOMÁČKOVÁ, Eva
A topic of my graduation theses is "Inventory bookkeeping in a selected manufacturing firm in field of electrotechnics, comparison of bookkeeping with similar company of german provenance". An aim of this graduation theses is to analyse the system of inventory bookkeeping in the manufacturing firm and to compare it with inventory bookkeping in similar companies in the Czech Republic and Germany. The main attention in practical part is dedicated to the method and the procedure of inventory bookkeeping in a given company. I analyse the acquisition of inventory from the Czech Republic and from Germany, its entry in a stock, delivery ex stock, sale of inventory in the Czech Republic and in Germany and I refer to bookkeeping in a given accounting entity. The accounting entity keeps accounts of inventory according to the valid regulations, nevertheless I found some bookkeeping operations, which could be solved in a different way. The partial aim of my graduation theses is to point out to different method of inventory bookkeeping in the Czech Republic and in Germany and currently introduce the bookkeeping words of art in german language. By the comparison of inventory bookkeeping according to german and czech bookkeeping I found many agreements, but I made out some more or less substantial differences. The graduation theses confirms that the bookeeping in the Czech Republic is mounting to the bookkeeping in Germany. This arises from performed comparison of accounting procedure by inventory bookkeeping in the Czech Republic and in Germany. Considering the development of international bookkeeping harmonization we can say, that the czech and german bookkeeping will develop in the same way and they will mount to each other.

Alternative Punishment and Their Problems in Practise

It described notions that are related with this questions. In practical section judges{\crq} opinions and opinions of students of social subjects are being found out through the use of question-form. Than their approaches are being compared. Is evaluated research which is investigated the consciousness of the society of the alternative punishment.

Artificial intelligence for real-time strategic games
Sýkora, Ondřej
Title: Artificial intelligence for real-time strategic games Author: Ondřej Sýkora Department: Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic Supervisor: Mgr. Cyril Brom Supervisor's e-mail address: brom@ksvi.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Among the computer game players, real-time strategy games (RTS) are one of the most popular genres. Despite of this fact, there is a very low number of publicati- ons concerning this genre. In this thesis we study the problem of an action selection in the real-time strategy games using methods based on Markov decision processes. In the first chapters we introduce the genre of real-time strategy games from the game designer's perspective as well as from the view of an artificial intelligence researcher. We give an introduction to the Markov decision processes and to methods designed to solve them. We propose a solution of the problem of an action selection based on Markov decision problem solving using a discrete-event simulation of the real-time strategy game. We test the clarity of the proposed method and its properties. Keywords: real-time strategy game, Markov decision process, Expected Outcome, bandit- based planning, discrete-event-simulation 6
