The Relation Between the Euro Cash Changeover and the Perceived Inflation in the Baltic Countries
Orosz, Előd ; Dědek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Turnovec, František (referee)
The relation between the euro cash changeover and the perceived inflation in the Baltic countries Abstract This thesis focuses on the effect of euro cash changeover on inflation perception, and its relation to the inflation measured by central banks or by national statistical offices. We present an analyses of inflation gap in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania at the euro introduction and detect its determinants by econometric methods. We use Ordinary Least Squares, Random Effects Generalized Least Squares and Fixed Effects estimator. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part examines the theoretical background of perceived inflation and focuses at the phenomenon of increased inflation gap at the euro introduction. Second part contains an empirical study on inflation gap. We find out that perceived inflation in Baltic countries does not show such a divergence, as it was presented at the establishment of the Eurozone. Moreover, we find out that education and available income in general has a small, but evincible effect on inflation gap observed at euro introduction.

Genetic diversity and evolutionary history of Czech endemic taxa from the genus Dianthus
Kalůsková, Jana ; Suda, Jan (advisor) ; Chrtek, Jindřich (referee)
Abstract This MSc. thesis deals with karyological, genetic and phenotypic variation of selected taxa from the genus Dianthus L. in the Czech Republic and adjacent countries. The evolutionary history of the genus has been shaped by several microevolutionary processes, including interspecific hybridization, genome duplication, and edaphic speciation. These processes led to the origin of a number of phenotypically similar taxa, which are often restricted to a narrow geographic area. One subendemic and three endemic taxa occur in the Czech Republic. These (sub)species were used as model groups to gain insight into microevolutionary processes in small populations and the postglacial development of the genus in Central Europe. The thesis consists of three parts, each addressing different evolutionary phenomenon: Dianthus arenarius subsp. bohemicus is a critically endangered endemic psammophyte currently known from a single population in Central Bohemia. The site is also inhabited by widespread D. carthusianorum. Interspecific hybridization has been suspected on the basis of morphological characters, but this has never been confirmed by any other technique. I exploited differences in the number of chromosomes between both species and, with the aid of DAPI flow cytometry, estimated relative DNA contents of...

Options to expand production on small family farms
Brabcová, Michaela ; Malý, Michal (advisor) ; Kateřina, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the financial analysis of "Bláhův dvůr". It is a small starting young farm in the Central Bohemian Region. In the first part, I analyzed the financial analysis using financial ratios such as rate of return, liquidity, asset and debt. To determine whether a company is a profitable one, I have made the financial analysis using status indicators which are following: Altman's Z score, indices of credibility, Taffler's z-score and Quick test by Kralicek. At the end of this analysis the Cash flow is provided. The next part of my diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the current market position of the farm using the external economic indicators such as the analysis PEST and Porter´s five forces model. After completing all the above mentioned analyses, all risks and divergences in agricultural commodities were evaluated through price trends. Using all the information, economically recoverable and revenue possibilities for future development were suggested. The main purpose of this thesis is the SWOT analysis, where I have mentioned weaknesses and threats, which will be eliminated and minimalized through business opportunities and business strengths.

This thesis describes the design and processing of project documentation multifunctional house. The multifunctional building is located in the central part of the city of Brno, in the district of Štýřice. This is a five-storey, basementless building with a flat roof on two levels. The building is based on foundations made of plain concrete. Supporting, peripheral and partition walls are designed from ceramic blocks POROTHERM. Ceiling construction is designed to be assembled of ceramic ceiling fittings MIAKO stored on POT beams. External walls of all floors are insulated using an external ETICS with thermal insulation made of mineral wool, which is replaced by XPS polystyrene used for plinth. Part of the facade is designed as ventilated, consisting of trusses of wood and sheathed by cladding panels CEMBRIT METRO. This architecturally divide the building into separate units. The building includes parts of the administrative, residential parts and parts for business purposes. On the first floor there are areas of common storage area of the apartment house, the main utility room, utility room. Furthermore, there is an administrative part, where are the reception facilities for reception, sanitary facilities for employees and office work. Part of the first floor is also a small shop with warehouse and facilities for employees. The second floor is a residential unit and the second part of the administrative unit. Third to the fifth floor is only residential and there are 6 residential units. All floors are connected by staircase and a wheelchair lift. In front of the building is designed parking lot for 20 cars. One of the parking space is wheelchair accessible.

Poor age - Growing over-indebtedness of persons in advanced age
Jandová, Pavlína ; Ochrana, František (advisor) ; Plaček, Michal (referee)
Western countries are facing an increasing poverty among seniors related to the demographic revolution and lengthening of life span. The so-called over-indebtedness is one of the "modern" causes and also consequences of poverty. This thesis discusses the relationship between over-indebtedness and poverty with emphasis on senior population (65+). An empiric analysis is employed to explore causes and consequences of over-indebtedness. The increasing over-indebtedness is already being targeted by public policies, however their effectiveness is low. Sufficient material and personal resources are lacking as well as not being optimally utilized. There is only limited cooperation between civil and public-law sectors. Communication with the private sector in a way of common goal setting is also deficient. In a fierce market-driven economy, elderly people become a weak link and find themselves in situations conflicting with morals, human and civil rights, and adequate quality of life in a modern society. This state of affairs threatens social integrity and demands a solution. Three participating groups were surveyed: the elderly, the employees of advisory centers and the non- bank financial institutions. Various approaches to solving the problem are discussed. The result of the analysis consists of a wide...

Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot
Staněk, Ondřej ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Title: Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot Author: Bc. Ondřej Staněk Department: The Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. David Obdržálek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: David.Obdrzalek@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: In this work, the author designs and implements a solution for programming small mobile robots using a visual programming language. A suitable visual programming front-end is selected and back-end layers are created that allow execution of the program in a mobile robot. The author designs and implements a virtual machine that runs alongside the original robot firmware on an 8-bit microcontroller with limited resources. A code generator layer compiles the visual representation of the program into a sequence of bytecode instructions that is interpreted on board of the mobile robot. The solution supports typical features of procedural programming languages, in particular: variables, expressions, conditional statements, loops, static arrays, function calls and recursion. The emphasis is put on robustness of the implementation. To verify and maintain code quality, methods of automated software testing are used. Keywords: visual programming language, virtual machine, mobile robot, Blockly Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Tax deduction for research and development
Švecová, Klára ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Slintáková, Barbora (referee)
Research realised by the public sector leads to new knowledge. To achieve economic growth of the country, it is necessary that the results of such research could be useful for innovation in the private sector. It can be achieved by cooperation of both sectors. The government of the Czech Republic supports such cooperation since 2014, through the option for businesses to include costs of R&D services and intangible results of R&D purchased from public universities or public research institutions in the tax deduction for research and development. It can be also better used by small and medium enterprises, but the total amount of this tax incentive decreased in 2014 as compared with 2013. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the reasons for the low utilization rate of tax deduction for research and development and low levels of cooperation on R&D between enterprises and public sector, primarily universities.

Jak velikost habitatu ovlivňuje společenstvo koprofilního hmyzu?
ZÍTEK, Tomáš
The effect of dung pat size on structure of dung inhabiting insect community was studied in Central Europe. Specifically all insect inhabiting the dung pat was targeted including both beetle and fly families. Abundance and species richness were positively correlated with increasing habitat volume. Density was negatively correlated with habitat size which represents low density refugee effect. Temporally co-occurring species which utilize the resource in similar way were separated by preferences for different habitat volumes.
