Historical and geographical aspects of population development in Černovice

This thesis deals with historical and geographical aspects of long-term population development in the city of Černovice. Research is mainly related to the period of 19th and 20th century. During this period, each settlement went through a development which was influenced by many aspects (natural, social, cultural, economic, political). For the industrial period population size of cities can be considered as fully adequate indicator for monitoring the status of the comprehensive development and position. The The main aim, which is based on a detailed analysis of population development, is to clarify the roots of its present condition, size and position in the Czech settlement system. This study also searches for determinants, causalities and the specifics of this development in the wider regional context. The final section summarizes the results and benefits of work. The whole study also includes lists of used literature and sources, tables, graphs, maps and other attachments.
The Importance of Municipal Budgets for Public Budgets

This diploma thesis deals with the importance of municipal budgets for public budgets. The essential part of the public budgets is formed by municipal budgets therefore the condition and balance of state budget is largely influenced by balance of these budgets. From the general point of view, municipal budgets also influence the possibility of attaining the economic and political goals of state. The aim of this thesis is to show on the basis of financial indicators' analysis the changes in municipalities' budgets over time, to interpret the development of their financial situation and to create a projection of their future evolution. For these purposes, the municipalities will be divided according to their size category.
Analysis of the City Management of Příbram

This bachelor thesis deal with the analysis of economy of the town Pribram during years 2006 to 2010. The aim is to assess economy and identify reasons for the changes of individual budget items, property and sources of coverage. There is evaluated investment activities of the city in the end. Thesis is divided into two parts. It is theoretical and methodical part and following practical part. Theoretical and methodological part is focused on definig the basic topics. Topics are municipality, it's authorities and structure, scope, budget and balance sheet of the city. Practical part is specialised in basic information about the city, analysis of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities. And then rate basic indicators of financial analysis, budget outlook and investments. I the conclusion is an overall assessment of economy of the town. For this analysis were used budgets, financial reports and balance sheets of the years from 2006 to 2010.
The effects of suburbanization processes on municipality - the case study of the city Klecany

This diploma thesis deals with the influence that suburbanization processes have on a historic city. Namely it is the city Klecany that the thesis focuses on in the Prague -- East region. Suburbanization can be observed in the Czech Republic since the second half of the 1990's, but its specific influence depends on a particular municipality. Therefore the goal of this thesis is to compare theoretical assumptions about suburbanization with its real consequences in Klecany, especially in the sphere of transport, economy, municipal budget, development, population structure, social and political environment etc. One part of the thesis focuses on measuring suburbanization in Klecany using the so-called classic formula and also an opinion survey was made among the former and the new inhabitants.
Using the Internet as a marketing strategy

The main objective of this thesis was the accounting concepts and internet marketing, and their interaction. After their explanation of the application to the chosen subject and its analysis. We focused on the analysis of services of the city Jindřichův Hradec, through the website. For a better example then the comparison was made with another entity, in our case the website of county town České Budějovice. After the description of services the website of city Jindřichův Hradec, has accentuated the ever-electronic logging project on the city authority, which is an important element for improving the capacity utilization of the registry department, in our case, the transport department, where the project since 2010 started to work. However, not only for the city and the burden of the registry, but also for citizens of the service is very good and help them with their own time management. The portal website is a good guide for tourists, since it can learn from the current calendar of events and many other useful information. Citizens of city Jindřichův Hradec, with its pages increasingly satisfied with what they sometimes lacked on the form whether certain actions or items that could not be found. For this reason, the proposed measures in the form of a helpdesk, which would complement the existing forum. Thus would arise a compact unit, which would help improve communication with citizens. Pages with the way citizens can be better adjusted and would create a share of participation, of course, with the assistance of trained computer scientists who are permanent employees of the municipality.
The influence of suburbanization on segregation processes in urban and rural settlements

Thesis "The influence of suburbanization on segregation processes in urban and rural settlements" analyzes suburbanization, as the process of transformation of urban structure. Based on the formulated objectives and hypotheses, using a combination of theoretical knowledge and self-evaluation of data on the administrative district of municipality with extended powers Nove Mesto nad Metuji, analyzes segregation as a result of suburbanization processes. The conclusion brings the selected possibilities of solving the problem of segregation and recommendations.

The paper deals with under researched urban issues in thr Czech Republic. It is particularly devoted to the inner cities, the changes occurring there during the post-socialist transition but also to some continuous and persistent patterns. Through examining the demografic, ethnic and property structures of the inner city of Brno, we shed light on some of the processes which have been occuring here during post-socialism and which should be the focus of further research.

Creative Cities

The aim of this work is to introduce the concept of Creative Cities, to describe briefly its essential parts and to assess the possibility of its applicability in the Czech Republic. This work deals in particular with cities and their inhabitants, entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial entities and the relations between them. However, it is not the ambition of this work to give instructions how to create a prosperous city. The purpose of the concept is not to become a creative city of the world but to become a creative city for the world or to become creative for one's own city. The concept of a creative city is a recommendation, rather than a manual, how to make the most of the potential of any cityin order to make it a better place for life.
