Targets of legislation health insurance effective from 1.1.2009 in the discrit Jindřichův Hradec.
TUČKOVÁ, Iva
The area of a sickness insurance, I have chosen for my diploma thesis, is not only important for me in terms of my working life, but as well as for my private life, because a temporary working incapacity and a title for sickness insurance benefits accompanies a life of each of us, either directly in our family circle or among friends or colleagues. The working incapacity, as a social event, is familiar to all of us. Someone meets it more often, someone less often, however it always influences our private as well as working life from a financial perspective, it has an impact on our working duties and it strikes our family groove. At the same time it has a very human dimension, since it concerns the most valuable we have ? it is our health. It deepens solidarity among people, mutual support and empathy. I have chosen the above topic also for the reason that I had already been working in the area of the sickness insurance for five years. I am interested whether there have been met the main objectives from the new legislation especially in terms of savings in financial means, a decrease of a number of temporary incapacities and a prevention of a misusage of the temporary working incapacities. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze individual areas of an implementation of the sickness insurance and on the basis of obtained results and statistical data to evaluate whether the main objectives of the sickness insurance legislation from January 1st, 2009 in the region of Jindřichův Hradec were met. Three hypotheses were presented in the thesis. The first premise said that with the effectiveness of this law financial means had spent on the sickness insurance benefits had been saved. The second premise was a decrease of the temporary incapacities and the third proven one was the meeting of the main objectives of the legislation in the whole implementation range of the sickness insurance in the region of Jindřichův Hradec. Two research methods were chosen; an analysis of documents, a technique of a secondary analysis and a content analysis. The second method was a semi-structured interview with professionals in the area of the sickness insurance. Defined hypotheses were confirmed by the carried out research. Financial means spent on the sickness insurance benefits were saved very dramatically already in the first half of the effectiveness of this law and the number of temporary incapacities decreased by one third of cases in that period. The third hypothesis was also confirmed by both chosen research methods and defined objectives of the new legislation were met in the region of Jindřichův Hradec. The defined aims of the diploma thesis were achieved, hypotheses were verified, there were mentioned important remarks and changes and provisions, which would lead to another streamlining of the sickness insurance system, were proposed. The obtained results are beneficial for my work in this area and they are a motivation as well as a challenge to other research activities.

Leisure activities in homes for the elderly in the city compared with the village
KUBIŠOVÁ, Barbora
A topic of this bachelor thesis is "Leisure activities in homes for the elderly in the city compared with the village". A theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is divided into three circuits, in the first one there are explained conceptions of an old age, ageing process and changes associated with it. The second circuit is devoted to a leisure time of the elderly and an introduction of possible activities. Last, but not least, there is mentioned a social work with seniors. A practical part is focused on achieving the defined objectives. The fist goal was to compare leisure activities in chosen homes for the elderly in cities and villages with the help of a secondary data analysis. Activity plans and their websites underwent the secondary data analysis in the chosen homes for the elderly. The second goal was to find out seniors´ satisfaction with provided leisure time activities. The satisfaction was measured through a questionnaire. The research showed that the seniors are satisfied with the leisure activities in all the chosen homes both in the cities and in the villages. Following hypotheses were established before an implementation of the research: Hypothesis No. 1: Leisure activities in homes for the elderly in cities are comparable with leisure activities in the homes for the elderly in the villages. This hypothesis was confirmed by the research. In all selected homes for the elderly there is an emphasis on leisure activities, all homes for the elderly hold similar (comparable) leisure activities for their clients. Hypothesis No. 2: There are no differences between an organization of leisure activities in the homes for the elderly in cities and villages, was not confirmed. The secondary analysis revealed that the homes for the elderly in the cities have more employees engaged in the leisure activities. Therefore they can devote more attention to immobile clients. Additionally there still come volunteers to those homes, who individually attend to the single clients of the homes. The thesis can be used by both by professionals and the general public to obtain information about leisure activities in the homes for the elderly in the cities and villages and a possibility to assess any differences in an offer of the leisure time activities.

Patient´s familiarity with their rights on surgery section of hospital in Znojmo.
ZEJDOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis provides a survey on awareness of patients in the surgical department in hospital of Znojmo. The patient who is sufficiently informed of the risks, of treatment or the options available can behave actively in the event of any discontent and discomfort if it is necessary. The informed patient can also chose the health care facility where he (she) will feel safe. The sufficiently informed patient becomes a client able to decide freely whether to run the risks and inconvenience often associated with the treatment. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the issue of patients´ awareness. Attention is focused on patients in a surgical department where the majority of patients undergo invasive surgical procedures and therefore they should be properly informed about their health condition, the nature of surgery and other related rights. The thesis is divided into four chapters in which characteristics of surgical departments, fundamental rights of the patient together with the legislation focused on this issue and on possible risks in communication between medical staff and patients are described. The objective of the practical part was to determine to what extent patients are informed of their rights. Hypothesis 1 assumes that patients are adequately informed of their rights. Hypothesis 2 assumes that patients in surgical departments utilize their rights. To verify or reject these hypotheses quantitative research conducted through the interrogation method (questionnaire technique) and methods of documents analysis (secondary data analysis) were used. The objective was achieved. The patients themselves may seek the information at least on their fundamental rights and apply the rights in the health sector. Greater awareness of patients can also be achieved through a proactive approach on the part of both patients and health professionals.

Zibner, Rahel ; Svoboda, Karel (advisor) ; Ledeneva, Alena (referee)
This research deals with irregular female migration from Ukraine to Italy for employment as caregivers to the elderly. The main questions to be addressed are: 'What are the reasons for Ukrainian women to migrate irregularly to such a large extent to Italy? Which important aspects are connected to their employment as a caregiver to the elderly from the individual point of view of Ukrainian women? In this thesis I want to explain the reasons for Ukrainian women to take up work as irregular caregivers in Italy, giving insight into the organization of daily life of irregular Ukrainian care givers. Practical examples will be given that examine the help women receive from Ukrainian professional and private networks. Despite information gaps, the combination of expert and migrant interviews in combination with the analysis of research studies and secondary sources produced important findings on this topic. Firstly, irregular female migration is economically motivated and women are driven to Italy through specific push and pull factors. Secondly, employment and daily life as a caregiver to the elderly in Italy entails economic advantages, but psychological disadvantages for Ukrainian women. 1
