White and black propaganda in Czechoslovak newsreel 1948

Bachelor thesis deals with historical events of 1948 and how they were reflected in contemporary newsreels, namely in "Československý týden ve filmu" and "Filmové Noviny". My aim here is to first present a short historical excursion focused on political development of Czechoslovakia, Eastern Bloc and Occident, define what white and black propaganda is and also give a brief description of post-war Czechoslovak cinematography. Pivotal part of the work discuss the depiction of important inner political events in Czechoslovakia, mainly of the Czech coup, the black propaganda aimed at certain groups of people and certain countries and, furthermore, some persons and organizations, which were at first (even in 1948) shown as good features, but then had conceived hatred against. Considerable attention is also applied to difference in acquaintance with Eastern Bloc and Occident - this work notices the prominent differences between "friendly" and "imperialistic" countries in media depiction. Distinguishing and differences between "Československý týden ve filmu" and "Filmové Noviny" are closing features.

Pyrazine derivatives as potential drugs II.

Title of diploma thesis: Pyrazine derivatives as potential drugs II. Presented by: Petra Graetzová Rising HIV positivity, migration of people, inconvenient social conditions in a row of underdeveloped countries or wrong administration of therapy contributed to recurrence growth the tuberculosis affection of recent years. The inception of resistance to already used antituberculosis drugs is a motivation for searching new therapeutic possibilities and for synthesis potential drugs. I aimed my activity to esters of 5-tert-butyl-6-chloropyrazine-2-carboxylic acid. These new substances were characterized physico-chemical and the tests their antimycobacterial and antifungal activity in vitro were carried out. Except the synthesis these derivatives is part of the graduation theses also a description of presently used drugs, accesses for therapy and several examples of new hopeful antituberculosis drugs.

Current problems and prospects of the Hungarian economy

The thesis deals with problems of the current Hungarian economy. In 2008, Hungary faced the threat of the state bankruptcy and had to ask the international institutions for a financial help. Nowadays, Hungary is slowly recovering from the crisis thanks to a lot of reforms and the foreign help. First chapter deals with the theory of economic policy, its bodies, goals and development. The government failure is also mentioned. Second chapter summarizes the economic development of Hungary from the economic transformation to the year 2008. Third part analyzes two current problems of the Hungarian economy - public expenditures and the indebtedness of households. The stabilization steps are also described. The final chapter is dedicated to the current situation in the country, international financial help and prospects to the future.

Fair Trade as a market tool for development partnership and its perpectives

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the Fair Trade question. It describes its basic characteristics as well as the living conditions in the developing countries that explain the reasons why to implement the system of fair trade. The standards made by the international organizations belong to the key part of the thesis. They help significantly when following the complete concept. The descriptions of the most important international and Czech Fair Trade representatives are included. The aim is to analyze the today's situation and current perspectives which are offered by the subjects involved in Fair Trade.

The Role of Institutional Decentralization in China´s economic development

The bachelor thesis focuses on the process of reforms of Chinese institutional environment since 1978. The first part deals with the definition of quality institutional environment, theoretical attitudes to the role of a government in an economical growth of a country and description of unique qualities of the Chinese economy. Next parts focus on the explanation of individual reform steps and its impacts on Chinese national economy and comparison of Chinese reforms with Vietnamese reforms as similar kinds of reforms of Southeast Asian countries. The main contribution of the thesis is an analysis of success of the Chinese institutional environment reformation that can be used as the guideline for a convenient economic policy in developing countries.

Effective tax rate measures : (survey of methods, computations and comparison to statutory tax rates in the Czech Republic)

Structure of tax systems of particular countries across the world features with great complexity and largely differ from one country to another. Statutory tax rates are not a good measure of the tax burden imposed by the tax nor are they a good tool for comparing of different tax systems or analysing the effects of changes in tax laws. To gather all these information we need to construct synthetic indicators as effective tax rates that are the main subject of this thesis. The effective tax rates can be calculated using several different methods. The first part of this thesis describes and summarizes these methods of computation of effective tax rates and points its strengths and weaknesses. The second part of the thesis then bases on my own effective tax rate's computations and compares effective tax rates in the Czech Republic with effective tax rates in Europe. The aim of this part is to find out whether the final tax burden in the Czech Republic is higher or lower than in EU-15 countries. Moreover I compare the effective tax rates with the statutory ones and describe the features of Czech tax system. The last part of the thesis is talking about the proposed tax reform with focus on the impact of this reform to effective tax rates.

The inspiration in the work of Richard Rohr for pastoral care in our country

Title: The inspiration of Richard Rohr for pastoral care in our country This diploma work deals the movement of Christian men (men's movement) in the Czech Republic. Development and many activity forms of this movement are bind with influence of American Franciscan Richard Rohr, especially with his thoughts and praxis in male spirituality. In the first chapter I pay special attention to the specific problems of men's life in the Church and in the society. The second chapter deals with Richard Rohr. Here I present his thoughts about the integral (spiritual and mental) adolescence of a man and methods of their implementation in real life. The third chapter describes the formation and development process of men's movement and it's activities. It also analyzes the forms of cooperation with R. Rohr and his influence on that process. In the fourth chapter I appraise men's movement from the two points of view: the common requirements of pastoral care and the psychological preconditions of man's wholesome development. The conclusion of this work confirms contribution of the Christian men's movement to the spiritual develop of men which means contribution also to the pastoral care in our country. Legalisation of intentional abortation in Czechoslovakia in the year 1957

The thesis The legalization of intentional abortion in Czechoslovakia i the year 1957 describes this topic in light of history- based on accessible historical documents- within the context of contemporary disputes and the creation of this law. In the preamble are given the discursions to theological ethics and church law, which should have sat this thesis in context of catholic theology. The thesis reflects also the progress and attepmts at full legalization of abortions soon after the Czechoslovakia was brought into being. The abortion act was enacted in the end of the year 1957. This fact is compared within the international situation. In addition more carefully is described the progress of the abortion act in USSR and several states of the Eastern bloc. The thesis also etchs in the activities of so-called "Prolicidal boards", which were settled down by the czechoslovakia government. These boards brought along that in the year of 1957 were abortions permitted only with partial restrictions. The aim of bachelor's thesis is the evaluation of the development of the position of developing countries during the ministerial conferences of the World Trade Organization. It evaluates the activities of the World Trade Organization and how it makes decision and the situation of developing countries in the world economy. The main part of bachelor's thesis is the process of fulfilling of the objectives and outcomes of ministerial conferences of WTO in the developing countries.

Postavení zástupců zaměstnanců v pracovněprávních vztazích Resumé Tato práce pojednává o zástupcích zaměstnanců v České republice. Rozebírá právní vývoj tohoto institutu na našem území, vznik a význam činnosti odborových organizací, rad zaměstnanců, zástupců zaměstnanců pro oblast bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci a evropských rad zaměstnanců a také pravomoci, které jsou jim svěřeny. Je v ní uvedeno i několik příkladů, které ukazují, jaký je systém činnosti zástupců zaměstnanců v několika zemích Evropské unie, a to konkrétně v Německu, ve Francii, v Belgii, v Dánsku a ve Švédsku. Práce se také zabývá požadavky předpisů Evropské unie na legislativu členských zemí v této oblasti práva a jejich promítnutím do právního řádu České republiky. Na několika stránkách je také popsán sociální dialog, jeho význam a způsoby jeho vedení. S tím též úzce souvisí popis činnosti jedné z nejvýznamnějších mezinárodních organizací při OSN, a to Mezinárodní organizace práce, stejně jako rozbor několika úmluv MOP, které jsou nejdůležitější pro dané téma. Poslední kapitola práce je věnována kolektivnímu vyjednávání, jako zvláštní formě sociálního dialogu a zároveň nejvýznamnější pravomoci odborových organizací, na niž mají odbory monopol.
