Institution of spirit objective
Fabius, Léo ; Tengelyi, Laszlo (advisor) ; Klass, Tobias Nikolaus (referee)
Title : The Institution of the objective spirit Abstract : This work attempts to offer a rereading of Hegel's Grundlinien der Philosophie des Rechts. Through a redefined concept of the institution, it aims to "repeat" (wiederholen) some of the fundamental problems of Hegel's theory of the objective spirit. First, it proposes to identify the object of the political anthropology of social issues, which is understood as the anthropology of reflexivity spaces. This is what can be called the social dimension of the institution, or the objective spirit of the institution (Chap. I). Second, to redefine the latent theoretical architecture which enables the concrete understanding of this dimension highlighting the use and the "function"of speculative aspects in the analysis of the political test of contingency ; it will reveal the political dimension of the institution (Chap. II). Finally to reach what in the Hegelian regime is the real starting point or point of emergence, which makes both social and political conceptions effective, which logically comes first here ; this can be called the historical dimension of the institution or the institution of the objective spirit (Chap. III).

Personality and cognition in great tit (Parus major)
Šimánková, Hana ; Exnerová, Alice (advisor) ; Sedláček, František (referee)
Success of an individual in various cognitive tasks can be influenced by many factors. Among the significant ones, that were studied in relationship with cognitive abilities, are animal personality and age. Great tit personality types are evaluated from explorative behavior and reaction towards novel object. We recognize Fast explorers, which are more active but superficial explorers, and Slow explorers, which are cautious, slower but thorough. Fast individuals manipulate sooner with a new food and non food objects. Slow individuals return later to offered food after being disrupted and they have higher breath rate. Some studies have revealed that Fast and Slow personalities differed in their cognitive abilities, for example in spatial tasks, in associative learning, in discrimination tasks or memory tasks, but many of them focus on only one type of task. In order to test both personalities thoroughly we tried to select types of tasks that focused on various abilities - two diverse types of extractive tasks, positive and aversive discrimination task and avoidance learning with firebugs (Pyrrhocoris apterus) in young naïve birds. Birds were tested in three age categories: young naïve hand reared birds, one year olds and two years and older birds. Fast and Slow individuals differed in aversive...

Baumol's cost Disease in Czech Regional Opera Theatres
Poláček, Jiří ; Šťastná, Lenka (advisor) ; Martišková, Monika (referee)
This thesis examines the existence of Baumol's cost disease in Czech regional opera theatres. The study is divided into a theoretical and an empirical section. The theoretical section deals with Baumol's concept of cost disease and its impacts on a theatre, externalities arising from a theatre's operations, public subsidies, demand for arts and ticket prices and their impact on the theatre's income. The empirical section analyzes the existence and scope of the cost disease in selected theatres (Divadlo J. K. Tyla in Pilsen, Severočeské divadlo in Usti nad Labem, and Jihočeské divadlo in Ceske Budejovice). The examination has revealed the presence of the cost disease in all the theatres; however, the scope and the impact of the cost disease differ significantly from theatre to theatre. On the basis of these findings, the study concludes that theatres may counteract the cost disease by offering an attractive theatrical product, which allows for a continuous increase in revenues from ticket sales.

Drábek, Martin ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Lebrová, Nora (referee)
Nowadays, due to the fact of growing external and internal influences, such as increasing competition, limited resources, globalization and new technology, every company is exposed to a potential threat of the inability to adapt to these pressures or inability to use them adequately for their advantage and benefits. As the only appropriate solution for this situation is offered an active approach to ongoing management of both strategic, but also small (incremental) organizational changes. Examples of these changes include changes in the organizational structure, business process reengineering, the use of new technologies, development of innovative products, etc. These changes are mainly supposed to direct the company towards continuous improvement of business performance and sustainable competitiveness. These activities also reveal a lot of (more or less) problematic areas and procedures and to them is devoted the first part of this work. Then, in the second part, there is described approach and techniques of managing these changes in a large software company over a specified period of time. Confrontation of this real praxis with the theoretical background is output of the final part of the work, including suggestions and recommendations of solutions for the areas of change management, in which the company has still room for improvement.

Group and cooperative learning in language teaching in the Czech Republic and Germany
Hufeislová, Gabriela ; Poláčková, Věra (referee) ; Kasíková, Hana (advisor)
The aim of this work is to theoretically determine the co-operative teaching in the current concept of teaching, to look for principles for its using, to determine its options in language teaching. The work has two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part it shows that the implementation of cooperative teaching in groups brings other demands for the teachers than the traditional concept of using the frontal forms and it shifts responsibility for learning to the learners themselves. It is described that its effectiveness is determined by respecting the whole system of co-operative teaching in a form of a few well-defined principles. Its application in language teaching offers opportunities to practise the language effectively and allows to use the language in natural situations, which is generally regarded the most effective and most natural method of learning the language. From the research it has shown that the co-operative teaching of languages is not applied in the lessons because the teachers do not have the skills and knowledge. Their knowledge has revealed only in the group work, but even here it is not used very often because of the lack of time.
