Jiří Frejka at the Karlín theatre 1950-1952

Jiří Frejka integrated the tenets of avant-garde, classical drama and poeticism. He entered the Karlín Theatre (at that time the Theatre of Czechoslovak State Film in Karlín) to direct the play "Nebe na zemi" by Jiří Voskovec, Jan Werich and Jaroslav Ježek in autumn 1950, after he was pushed off his post as the art chief of the Vinohrady Theatre (for political reasons). Inspite of this forced move he immediately started working on the development of the Karlín Theatre. He invited the contemporary first class artists to cooperate - the composer Václav Trojan, the choreographer Saša Machov, the poet Vítězslav Nezval or the set designer František Troster. Five peďormances which Frejka directed during his short work are some of the best and most successful those have ever been created in the Karlin Theatre. Although he had to give in to the demands of the regime of that time and he had to present plays from the Soviet Union ("Akulina", "Keto and Kote"), he also managed to present idyllic plays - "Paní Marjánka, matka pluku" by Josef Kajetán Tyl, or versicular "Schovávaná na schodech" by Vítězslav Nezval. Meanwhile he was trying to introduce the actors to a synthetical, leťs say musical-like acting - for the sake of the education of these "singing actors" he wanted to establish a new department ofmusical comedy...

Alternative forms of financial solution of risks

This diploma thesis is focused on alternative possibilities, how can we apply financial solution of risks. First part of this thesis describes problems of current commercial insurance market. There are also mentioned traditional ways risk's transfer and their possible troubles. In following part there are chapters containing alternative forms which solves specific kinds of risk related to different economical subjects. In the last part there is discussed possibility of state participation of catastrophic events. The aim this thesis is to identify the problems of current insurance market, evaluate common used techniques the risk's transfer and suggest suitable ways which can be used to solve the problem of risk with cooperation of financial markets, public finance and other alternative instruments.

Measures and policies to combat tax frauds

The final thesis deals with tax evasions, fights and policy against the tax evasions in European Union. The aim of my work is provide a clearer imagine, what kinds of provisions the European Union uses to combat tax frauds. At this thesis are used sources of directions and measures, which were suggested and accepted in years 2006 -- 2010. In theoretical part is described what the word "tax evasions" means, what types of tax evasions we recognize and the different means of their measuring. Another section is devoted to estimations of tax evasions, mainly on field of VAT with attention to carousel frauds in particular countries. At last part is characterized measures of European Union in combating VAT frauds in two forms: modifying VAT system and administrative cooperation between Member States.

University of Economics in Prague graduates in labour market

This thesis is focused on labour market integrtation problems of graduates of University of Economics in Prague (UoE). The theoretical part shows advantages and disadvantages of graduate status, presents current trends in employment of graduates and offers known methods how to subsidy an assertion based on cooperation between academic and entrepreneurial area. The practical part issues from findings acquired by process of the theoretical part. This part is based on data analysis among influaential companies cooperating with UoE concernig actual percieved grade of the graduates from UoE and on data analysis of satisfaction with this cooperation systém. Last part is oriented on factual recommendations for behalving the assertion of graduates from UoE.

Analysis and design of integration platform in environment of DATART International a.s.

The master thesis deals with system integration in the company DATART International a.s. focusing on analysis of current information system and descriptions of the integration of applications. The first part is theoretical and the main attention is paid to definition of system integration and related subjects. Explanation of these terms is essential for understanding subsequent chapters. The following section is devoted to analyzing and mapping of current technical solution of company's integration of applications. The last part comprises of designed proposal of company's new possible IS/ICT architecture with its main technical elements and their functionality. Moreover, the portfolio of projects which are necessary for implementation of the proposed solution is designed in this part. The main goal of this work is to map and assess the current situation in the DATART company. Sub-goal is to design a new architecture IS/ICT and to design company portfolio of projects related to proposed architecture of IS/ICT in company DATART International a.s. These goals were fulfilled through deep analysis of the company's environment. This analysis was performed in the cooperation with colleagues, experts from related branches and thanks to high-quality literature and information sources used. The contribution of this work consists of mapping of possible solutions of system integration in DATART and their evaluation. Another benefit is the proposal of new architecture of IS/ICT.

Comparison of internal and external audit

This diploma work desribes relation between external and internal audit. The theoretical part includes definitions of audit, types and targets of audit and cooperation between external and internal auditors. The diploma work focuses also on processes of external and internal audit. The last chapter of theoretical part describes the Sarbanes Oxley Act. The practical part narrates the theoretical knowledge on real example. For this part I choose outsourcing company Accenture Services, s.r.o.

Economic relations of the Czech republic with African countries

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is the evaluation of trade relations between the Czech republic and African countries. Trends in the trade of goods compare the period before the accession of the Czech republic into the European Union with the period afterwards. One separate chapter is dedicated to the most significant partners of the Czech republic in northern and sub-Saharan Africa. The last chapter approaches the Czech development aid as one of the forms of mutual cooperation.

Cross-border mergers

This thesis deals with the topic of cross-border mergers in the Czech republic. In the introductory part, the expressions like merger, cross-border merger are explained and reasons and possible obstacles of the merger (cross-border mergers) execution described. In the following chapter, I mention the possibilities of cross-border mergers in the Czech republic up to now. The thesis also handles the influence of the Directive on cross-border mergers of limited lability companies and the Verdict of the European Court of Justice in the matter of sp. zn. C-411/03 SEVIC Systems AG on the final version of the new legal Act on Transformation of Companies and Cooperatives. In the next chapter, I deal with the legal, accounting and taxation aspects of the cross-border mergers under the current conditions and according to czech legislation. I also included a chapter about the control of mergers of competitors. The last chapter mentions a concrete example of the real first cross-border merger in the Czech republic.

Crisis intervention of children with child abuse and neglect syndrome

Graduation thesis called "Crisis Intervention of Children with Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome" is purely theoretical. The first part offers a description of fundamental terms relating to the subject of Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome, statistical data analysis, and a compendium of current legislation. The second part disserts on crisis intervention, especially on the specific form of help to abused and neglected children, and on institutional help. Last chapter presents Sanctuary for Children in Need in Prague, its activities and cooperation with other non-governmental or public organisations.

Comparation of the EU and US approach towards mergers and acquisitions

This study aims to compare the EU and US approach towards mergers and acquisitions, both from a theoretical point of view (the historical development and regulation) and the practical one(comparing certain cases), identify their similarities and differences, explain it and evaluate. To achieve the goal, the method of comparison was used (especially control procedures and assessing relevant markets). It was also assisted by case studies (specific decisions of the competition authorities), thus that the merger of GE / Honeywell and acquisitions, Oracle / Sun Microsystems. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter approaches the topic in terms of their development and legislation. The next two chapters introduce the merger control in both systems. The last chapter deals with cooperation between the competition authorities of the EU and the US. Chapter also compares the specific cases in which both teams have decided differently.
