Inform the patient before transurethral resection of the bladder from the perspective of the patient and nurse.
FABINGEROVÁ, Dana
The subject of following bachelor essay is Patient´s Notification - giving information - before transurethral resection of urinary bladder from both - patient´s and nurse´s point of view. As the incidence of malignant diseases not only of urinal tract keeps growing, this topic is becoming more and more pressing. The patient´s education and sharing of information with him is an integral part of daily routine of nursing staff. Satisfactory knowledge contributes to contentment of the patient and thus to successful healing process. In Czech republic bladder tumours account for every 6.malingant disease by men and for every 13.such disease by women. One of the methods used for treating superficial tumours is transurethral resection of the bladder combined with regular cytoscopic dispensarization of the patient. The bachelor essay consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with nursing care of patients who are subjects of transurethral resection of the bladder because of bladder tumour. It describes in detail the attributes of malignant disease of a bladder, it´s symptoms, treatment, precautions and prognosis. The surgical method of treating superficial bladder tumours (transurethral resection of the bladder) as well as cytoscopic examination of the bladder is thoroughly explained also in this part of the essay. Apart from that the theoretical part pays attention to pre- and post-surgery nursing care of patients indicated to above mentioned treatment. Next chapter talks about giving information to patients, educating them and about knowledgeable consent from a patient before surgery. Five goals were set up for this work. First, to map a range of information, given by urology nurses to the patient, before transurethral resection of the bladder. Second, to find out the most used form of giving such information. Third, to discover how satisfied were the patients with the information. Fourth , to find differences in the content of the information advised to the patient before the first and before any repeated surgery. Fifth goal was to distinguish the variances in the way the patients were satisfied with the information before the first and before any repeated surgery. Empiric part of the essay determines three hypothesis. According to the first hypothesis we presume that verbal notification is most often used for giving information to the patient before transurethral resection of the bladder. Second hypothesis says that those patients who are being prepared for repeated surgery are more satisfied with given information than those who hear such information for the first time. Third hypothesis lets us assume that the range of information given before first surgery is wider that before any repeated surgery. In order to verify each hypothesis a quantitative research was set up. It´s results confirmed first hypothesis, the second hypothesis was disproved. Third hypothesis was also not validated through the results of the research. For the research was chosen quantitative method of data collection from the patients as well as from the nurses, using anonymous questionnaires. These questionnaires were disposed to the patients indicated for transurethral resection of the bladder at Urology in hospital in České Budějovice and Písek. Graphs were created for presentation the results of above mentioned research. Discovered results are being compared in discussion with special bibliography. Presumed output of this bachelor essay was to expand - if needed - the content of knowledgeable consent from a patient before surgery that is given to every patient before transurethral resection of the bladder. As the results of our research clarified that almost 100% patients are fully satisfied with information given to them, we feel that it is pointless to expand the knowledgeable consent from a patient before surgery.

Ten years of EMU: Convergence, divergence and new policy priorities
Christodoulakis, Nicos
Has the single currency promoted or hindered convergence among the countries of the Eurozone? On the one hand, asymmetric shocks have subsided after the creation of the single currency and FDI has been substantially promoted both inside and outside the EMU as a result of reduced exchange rate volatility, more integration and better institutional functioning. On the other hand, an examination of the catching-up process between the less and more affluent countries of the Eurozone suggests that convergence has been fading since the EMU was initiated in 1999. Another worrying development in the Eurozone is the emergence of unprecedented CA deficits in the southern Eurozone countries, while the northern Eurozone group enjoys substantial surpluses. Although both groups of countries have attracted increased FDI flows after EMU, there seems to be a sharp differentiation regarding size and composition. In the southern countries, the housing sector has attracted relatively more investment than the production sector, while the reverse seems to be the case in the northern group. Thus, investment in the northern (southern) Eurozone countries has increased traded (non-traded) output and caused an improvement (deterioration) in the trade balance. To face such imbalances, new policy priorities are required in the Eurozone that put more emphasis on convergence and competitiveness.

Comparison of nursing care of clients at terminal stage provided in a hospital facility and in a hospice in the view of family members and general nurses.
MACÁKOVÁ, Jana
The bachelor thesis deals with nursing care provided to patients at terminal stage of a disease and possible differences in provision of this care in a hospital and in a hospice. The theoretical part focuses on the issues of palliative care and particularly on the needs of patients at terminal stage and a role of a nurse on their satisfying. The first aim of the thesis was to find out whether family members of patients feel possible difference in provision of nursing care in a hospice and a hospital. The other aim was to examine opinions of general nurses about provision of care of terminally ill patients in a hospice and a hospital. Qualitative research, questioning method was applied. Deep interviews with general nurses and family members of patients at terminal stage were used for data collection. The selection of family members and general nurses for the research sample was intentional. Selection of general nurses was conditioned by the following criterion: to be a general nurse with experience with care of patients at terminal stage from a hospital and a hospice. Selection of family members was conditioned by the following criterion: to be a relative of a patient at terminal stage of an illness who was first hospitalized in a hospital and then transferred to a hospice. The interviews were conducted in the Prachatice Hospital and in St. John N. Neumann Hospice in Prachatice. The data from the interviews were processed into categories corresponding to satisfying the individual needs of patients. The research results show that the general nurses as well as the family members do perceive difference between provision of care to terminal patients in a hospital and in a hospice. The biggest differences are perceived in satisfying psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients. All the nurses agree that more attention is paid to psychosocial needs of patients in the hospice than in the hospital. The difference is particularly seen in lower number of staff and lower time allocation to satisfying these needs of patients in the hospital. The family members perceive these issues uniformly. They are all convinced that no one deals with satisfying psychosocial needs in the hospital while all patients? needs are satisfied in the hospice and even patient?s accompanying family is included in the care. The general nurses as well as the family members perceive the difference in the regimens in hospital departments and in the hospice. They agree that patients in the hospital are subject to the department regimen while the regimen in the hospice is subject to patients? needs and desires. They all also perceive difference in the possibility to be in the hospice with the patient for 24 hours a day. From the point of view of satisfying psychosocial needs of patients the general nurses and family members share the opinion. They agree on the fact that these needs are actively sought for in the hospice and satisfied according to client?s interest. On the other hand attention is not primarily paid to patient needs in the hospital. This thesis could serve as study material for nursing students. I could be also used as informational material to both, experienced or staring nurses dealing with terminally ill patients within their practice. A recommendation for practice in the field of satisfying psychosocial need of clients at terminal stage is the practical output of this thesis.

Mutual dependence of laterity and kinetic abilities in women floorball
Bočanová, Kamila ; Táborský, František (referee) ; Křiček, Jan (advisor)
6 Abstract Title: Mutual dependence of laterality and kinetic abilities in women floorball Aim: The purpose of this graduation thesis is to broaden the pieces of knowledge of a potential lateral preference of the upper limb depending upon an energetic output in floorball. It should determine dependence of kinetic output on preferred and non preferred holding of the floorball stick. The thesis should also determine dependence of the preferred and non preferred holding of the stick on the process of training. It should explain if there are any skill differences between the female floorball players and general population. And if there are some, the differences are to be proved. Metod: The standardized questionnaire Edinburgh Handedness Inventory (Ransil, Schachter 1994) and kinetic test of a bimanual preference have both been applied for realization of the established achievement. The results of the female players were compared with the results of the general population. Women were divided into four groups according to their lateral preference and their preference of holding the floorball stick. These results have also been compared. Results: This research project proved differences between kinetic skills conducted by preferred stick holding and non preferred stick holding. The female floorball players showed...

Analysis of Fatty Acids in Diacylglyceroles and Triacylglyceroles of Body Fluids by Gass Chromatography
SCHNEEDORFEROVÁ, Ivana
Epinephrine is well known a stress hormone of mammals. The adipokinetic hormone (AKH) has the same function in insects. AKH is peptidic hormone; one species of insect possesses one or more types of AKH. Basically AKH is responsible for releasing of diacylglycerols (DGs) from fat body. Our experimental animal is common model organism, locust (Locusta migratoria). Those animal synthesizes three AKH types {--} AKH I, II and III. They differ in amino acid order in peptide, but having very similar influence on the organism. Recently used a routine sulfovaniline method for unsaturated fatty acids (FA) determination estimates only quantitatively the sum of double bounds in fatty acids. Our proposed method, perspective GC FID (Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detector), is very revolutionary being able to determinate particular fatty acid species and also their relative ratio. Aim of this study is to find a proper sample preparation method for GC FID technique and to investigate the influence of particular AKH to the locust organism and to statistically prove the differences in AKH influences. A locust haemolymph was subjected by very usual sample extraction by Folch and a routine SPE (solid phase extraction) method. An easy and rapid derivatization by sodium methanolate was the next sample preparation step followed by GC FID measurement. Acquired data were computed by PCA (principal component analyses). We gained a well-arranged graphical output confirming our thesis that each AKH species has a different influence on FA composition in locust heamolymph; AKH II having the greatest influence.

It is followed by description of internal checks, which company does periodically. Last part is audit of financial situation. There are used indexes of financial analysis to evaluate the financial health of the company. Recommendation how to improve current situation are given based on this background.

Using classic versus geometric morphometrics in anthropology
Pinkr, Tomáš ; Velemínská, Jana (advisor) ; Brůžek, Jaroslav (referee)
Shape differences and their analysis may reveal differences in the growth and morphogenesis, the influence of different evolutionary pressures, or the consequences of a disproportionate burden of the various parts of the body. Variability of some characters cannot be measured, but it can be observed and described verbally, or eventually described in photographs or schematically. A morphoscopy deals with it and currently beside the traditional direct visual observations also modern technology is utilized. Morphometry unlike morphoscopy is used for measurement and comparison of organism shapes and shape changes analysis. Outputs of morphometric examination are tables of numbers and mathematical and statistical operations are used to obtain information from these data. Current anthropology divides morphometry to two slightly different sets of methods a traditional morphometrics and a geometric morphometrics. The traditional morphometrics measures directly object of study using conventional measuring tools. Conversely, the geometric morphometrics analyzes object in the virtual space using sopfisticated instrumentation including special software. Display methods store information about geometry of the subject. Resulting databases are used not only for the original analysis but also for other research as...

Database Schema Version Control
Hudec, Branislav ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee) ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to design and implement an application that would be capable of searching for differences between two database schemas. There are many uses for such tool, but there is one that is the most common. Two database schemas are created with the same SQL script, so they are equal at the beginning. A user can later add or modify database objects in one of the schemas, so the schemas may not be equal anymore. The implemented tool can find the differences between the schemas and present the results to the user in various formats (diff tree in GUI, XML, and text). The most valuable form of output is undoubtedly an SQL script. The purpose of the SQL script is the synchronization of the two schemas. The user can execute such script in a database containing the second schema, and the second schema will be modified according to the first schema.
