Kochta, P. Performance evaluation of small companies. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. Diploma thesis deals with performance evaluation of two small companies in construction industry and formulation of suggestions for increase of their performance. Performance is evaluated based on financial analysis through ratios, economic value added, bankruptcy and solvency models, benchmarking, and based on nonfinancial analysis through company´s sanation and company´s restoration of viability methodology by Harry Pollak. Diploma thesis is structured into two parts. In the first part Summary of literature there are theoretically described procedures and methods of financial and nonfinancial analysis serving as foundation for the practical part. In the practical part there are introduced the chosen companies and then they are analysed based on the mentioned procedures and methods. Based on the outcomes of the analysis there are devised suggestions for increase of performance and competitiveness of the analysed companies. Next there is evaluation of an option of generalization of the used approaches and suggestions for other companies of similar character in construction industry.
Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance using Benchmarking Approach

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial performance of the company P-D Refractories CZ a. S. Using the benchmarking method. The first part of the work provides theoretical background for the issue. The second part of the work contains an introduction to the researched company and a situational analysis of the company. The main part of the diploma thesis follows, namely the benchmarking of the company with selected competitors. At the end of the thesis, the main findings of the analyses are summarized and recommendations for improving the company's performance are presented.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial and business performance of PBS Turbo s.r.o. using benchmarking methods. The first part deals with basic concepts and also provides relevant information from the trade literature. The analysis of the current state provides information about the selected company, including strategic analysis, and also provides a comparison of the company with selected competitors. Based on the findings, recommendations for the business and financial performance of the company are presented in order to possibly improvement.

The diploma thesis is focused on the financial and business performance of the company using benchmarking. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with selected approaches and methods that are suitable for evaluating the performance of the selected company. The basis for evaluating the work is the part containing the analyzed company and its current state of the situation in comparison with selected competing companies. The main part of the work is devoted to benchmarking based on publicly available data from financial statements. Data from the Amadeus database and the public register of companies are used for this purpose. Out of a total of 4 competitors, 2 competing companies are selected on the basis of direct competition (in the region). The conclusion summarizes the main findings of the analysis but also contains recommendations to improve the financial performance of the company.
The evaluation model of the benefit of modern technologies in relation to corporate sustainability

The thesis is focused at the measurement of the benefit of modern technologies in relation to sustainable development for companies that are implementing the so-called Key Enabling Technologies, into their production processes. The multidisciplinarity of these technologies and their huge impact on societal and environmental challenges of the current society are the reason, why the companies implementing these technologies have to be assessed differently, more comprehensively. It is also proven within the detailed literature review. The aim of the thesis is to develop evaluation model of the benefit of modern technologies in manufacturing companies that reflects the aspects of the sustainable development. For this purpose, the relevant performance indicators have to be developed. The various statistical methods are applied, especially the structural equation modelling, in order to achieve the goal of the thesis. Finally, the pilot testing of the optimized model is realized on the specific company.

The master’s thesis deals with evalutation of financial performance of company through benchmarking. A firm AQUA PROCON, Ltd. operates in field of designing and engineering activities with a focus on water management constructions. Business in this thesis is analised from two points of view. The first one is comparison with a specific field according to CZ-NACE M-7112 – Engineering and another technical consulting. The second one is company‘s performance compared to chosen competitors. The aim of analising both views is to find weak spots and suggest solutions, which will lead to improvement of performance and stability of the company on the market.

This company is analysed in two different aspects in the diploma thesis. Analysis is focused on market position and performance within specific economic activities per CZ-NACE - F-4120 at first. Second analysis focuses on evaluation and competitive benchmarking. Its target is to determine week spots and propose solutions that should improve these weak spots and the whole company performance.

This company is analyzed in two aspects within diploma thesis. Evaluation focuses on market position and performance within specific economic activities according to NACE rev.2 – 382, at first. Second evaluation is focused on competitive benchmarking that should pin-point particular weaknesses. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to propose solutions to improve company performance and market position.

The first part focuses on the basic concepts, such as the enterprise value of the company.
