Measuring efficiency of software projects
Tomšej, Radek ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
This thesis is aimed to possibilities of measuring of software projects efficiency. This efficiency is measurable by one-dimensional indexes, which are not capable to describe the complexity of software development, or multi-dimensional indexes. Multi-dimensionality gives you possibilities how to detect weak aspects of software project. The first part is dedicated to project characteristics, triple constraint and specifics of software development. The second part describes one-dimensional and multi-dimensional indexes, their advantages and disadvantages, and also work efficiency influences. The main contribution of this thesis is to show practical illustration of using multiple indexes of work efficency and to describe their influential factors.

BI applications development using the .NET platform
Srnský, Martin ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Pán, Jaroslav (referee)
The main aim of this work is to give to readers complete overview of technologies for application development using the .NET platform and show these technologies in use. The main benefit is the creation of complex overview of the latest technologies for Business Intelligence applications development using the .NET platform. The work is divided into three main parts. The first one describes Business Intelligence basics; the second one describes the fundamentals of the .NET platform and its technologies for creating applications which work with analytical data. The last part describes the application for getting data from analytical data sources, in which I have used the technologies described in the previous parts.

Relation between AKP in Turkey and Milli Görüs in the Netherlands
Meerkerk, Petronella Helena Maria ; Hnízdo, Bořivoj (advisor) ; Anselmo Vieira, Sabina (referee)
The main topics in this thesis were Turkish history, with the focus on Islamist political parties. Furthermore the Turkish migration to the Netherlands and the organizations established by Turks in the Netherlands were discussed. I wanted to show that we can regard the Adalet ve Kalkinma Partisi (AKP) as an Islamist party. The AKP, which was established in 2001, won the last elections in Turkey with nearly 35%. They have been the ruling party since 2002. Erdogan, its prime minister, had been in jail for spreading Islamist ideas. He served as mayor in Istanbul where he had drastic ideas such as separate school busses for boys and girls and a total ban on alcohol. On several occasions later he dissociated himself from those ideas, but I was able to find many proofs and signs that this is more a strategic change than a sincere change of ideology. 1 wanted to give evidence that the Turkish people in the Netherlands are badly integrated; through use of statistics this was proved. They have, compared to Dutch people, worse education and lower paid jobs. They are not socially integrated with Dutch people; they still marry very frequently within their own group. This poor integration makes the Turks more likely to be radical in professing their religion, give more importance to their language and own cultural...

Chamraďová, Lucie ; Ovečka, Libor (advisor) ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (referee)
My finel work is called "Actual situation of churches in the tlen of Olomouc." I was interested in a sort of christian churches in Olomouc and their activities. I visited Olomouc's churches, celebrations and I told to priests, pastores and with churchs. I asked them about church's life, social nad charity work, activities for public, activities with another churches. I try to summarize information, which I took during my visit in the last chapter. I write about activities for community, activities for public and actions with another churches in the town of Olomouc. I write also about the opinions of "faithless people"about church's work in Olomouc and church's work in the sociaty. I made a list of questions and I gave it to "faithless people". My finel work is divided into three parts. The first one is just theoretical. There is the basic information about the history of church, the structures of churches, the sphere of activities in church and oecumenism. The second part includes my practical work. I give overview the Churces in Olomouc and their work here. I desribe the whole situation of all the chuches here. The third part is a short summary about the actual situation of churches in the town of Olomouc. There is the offspring of exploration among the "faithless people". I was interested in their...

Approximate solution of Unconstrained influence diagrams
Fried, Vojtěch ; Vomlelová, Marta (advisor) ; Studený, Milan (referee)
We give an introduction to the theory of probabilistic graphical models and describe several types of them (Bayesian Networks - BN, Influence Diagrams - ID, Unconstrained Influence Diagrams - UID). Unconstrained Influence Diagrams support the possibility for the user to choose the ordering of decisions based on observations. This increases the expressive power of UIDs compared to IDs but makes it harder to find an optimal solution. It is often impossible to find an optimal solution because of exponential complexity increase compared to IDs. Therefore we design and investigate several approximate methods to solve UIDs. The result of these methods is an ordinary ID created from the former UID by adding edges. The optimal solution of the ID should be as close to the original UID as possible. Heuristical methods represent one type of the methods investigated. Heuristical methods use a simplification of the optimal algorithm. During the run of the algorithm heuristics are used to cut off the branches that are not perspective for further calculation. Another type of methods is to create the ID directly. We evaluate our methods experimentally based on randomly generated UIDs of three types and compare their performance namely to the optimal solution and to equally complex random methods.
