Production of weapon conclusion
Diviš, Adam ; Forejt, Milan (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of technology for production of weapon conclusion by die forging. The weapon conclusion will be made of C45 steel in series of 500 000 pieces per year. Before forging, the base semi-finished product will be treated using cross-wedge rolling technology. Thanks to the chosen production process, the forging will be made as four pieces. A simulation of the forging process was made for the created design. Results of a simulation showed that metal did not fill entire hollow. Based on these results was made changes in design and the simulation was performed again. According to the results of the second simulation, the hollow has already been filled with metal. For the forging was chosen the machine LZK 2500P from Šmeral a.s with a nominal force 25MN. In the conclusion there was a technical-economic evaluation of costs for the material required for production of entire series.

The thesis deals with the design the technology production of wheel hub for the automotive industry made of C45 steel. After the evaluation of suitable technologies, a die forging on a mechanical press was selected. On the basis of technology analysis, the component shape was modified, all allowances and dimensional tolerances were set. According to calculated forming force, the crank press LZK 3150B with nominal force 31, 5 MN from the manufacturer Šmeral Brno, a. s., was chosen. Manufacturing is divided into two operations, pre-forging and after that final forging. Design of dies is based on the ČSN 22 8306 standard and they are made of tool steel of grade 19 552 with the subsequent heat treatment. The dies have upper and lower ejector for easier removal of the forged piece.
Design of robotized workplace for die forging
Krejčí, Radek ; Zavadil, Radek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of technology for production of wheels to be manufactured by die forging 15 142 low-alloy steel at an amount of 500,000 items per year. Based on a consideration of the suitable methods of manufacture, die forging on a Jing Duann FP-1600G vertical forging press was chosen as the best, as documented by the necessary technological and design drawings. A die with inserts made of 19 552 steel was designed for this machine. In view of the volume of annual production, a fully automated workplace was designed consisting of three robots and a chain and pan conveyor. In the conclusion there was a technical-economic evaluation of costs for the material of the semi-finished products and price of dies for annual production.
Manufacturing of pin with flange
Procházka, Pavel ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of the towing hitch, which is used in the tractor. The component will be the production of a die forging technology made of low-alloy steel 13 242. The material is supplied as hot-rolled bars with a diameter of 60 mm and a length of 6 000 mm. The size of the production series has been set at 25,000 pieces per year. Due to the issue and the size of the forging, the component will be made on a power hammer. The machine Šmeral KHZ 8A, appears to be a suitable machine as the forging work was calculated at 89 kJ. The technical - economic evaluation takes into account material costs, which amount to 1,364,271 CZK. The die is made of tool steel 19 663, its purchase price is 73 000 CZK.
Production of gear
Svozilová, Lucie ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The project elaborated design of technology production of the spur bevel gear, which is made of a steel rod from material 12 050. Pursuant to of the literary pursuit and calculation is designed as a threeoperational forging in an open die with using of ejector. Forging is realised in the vertical crank press LZK 1600 P/SH, with forming force 16 MN. Shearing and punching is performed in the shear press LKOA 200. Forging dies are produced from alloyed instrumental steel 19 556 heat-worked according to drawing documentation.
The Issue of Trimming and Punching of the Forged Piece
Kopečný, Adam ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of tool for punching and trimming of the forged case, made from 14 331 steel. Forging will be done on forging press LMZ 1 000 made by Šmeral Brno, a. s. The dies are made from 19 552 steel. Production series is 520 000 pieces per year. The tool is designed as progressive. Simulation of the forging process in FormFEM software has been done, because of evaluation of the trimming and punching temperature. Based on calculated punching and trimming force the press S 160 E made by Šmeral Brno, a. s., was chosen. Piercing punches and dies are produced from instrumental steel 19 550, with heat treatment according to design documentation. To conclude, the economical evaluation was done. The bachelor thesis was done in cooperation with Šmeral Brno, a. s.
Production of gear
Havlíček, Roman ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of production technology of the chain wheel used in the scraper conveyor made of 14 220 steel. After considering all production options, die forging was selected. On the basis of chosen technology, shape adjustments, additions and dimensional tolerances were made. From the volume of the forged wheel, a semi-finished product with a diameter of 150 mm and a length of 106 mm was determined. Based on the scale of series, the machinery equipment of the company and the size of the forged piece, the KHZ 16A hammer, with a nominal energy of 160 kJ, was chosen as a forming machine. According to the standards, a single-die dies were designed for the forging. The LKOA 200 press was chosen to cut off the flash and the membranes. Additional machines for manufacturing were chosen and technological standard was compiled. At the end costs of the material for production amounting to 2 566 045,3 CZK and the cost of production of die in the amount of 187 000 CZK were calculated.
Production of the piston rod eye
Vahala, Jiří ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The project deal with technology design of production of the piston rod eye from steel 11 523 in the amount of 30 000 pieces. From various possibilities of technology was chosen as the most optimal method the technology die forging. Pursuant to the study of literature and calculations there will be made the forging as a double-edged in single-cavity die on hammer witch several hits in finishing hollow. According to the calculated energy there was selected pneumatic-hydraulic hammer KHZ-4A witch stated energy of 40kJ. The tool was made of steel 19 552, heat-treated according to the drawing documentation. The technical and economical evaluation was focused on the total material cost of the semi-finished material and the cost of manufacturing forging die, which is 1 229 507 CZK in total.
Issues of hammer die forging
Žižka, Jiří ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues of hammer die forging which is technology that is mainly used for the production of shaped and height-versatile and rugged forgings with ribs and protrusions. Forgings are made by several blows of the tools which are called dies. Design of forgings is based on drawing documentation. For successful production of the component it is important to choose right forging temperature, parting line, required additions and tolerances. Hammers are machines which work with hit energy, they use kinetic energy for forming the material. Their characteristic features are good climbing of the material and filling deeper chambers in direction of the hit. Several types of hammers are used, for example fall hammer or double acting hammer and more.
