Ectopic pregnancy - etiology, modern diagnostic and therapeutic approach
Tichá, Zuzana ; Drahoňovský, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of ectopic pregnancy. The first chapter defines the concept of ectopic pregnancy and its various types. The following sections examines the incidence of ectopic pregnancy and its etiopathogenesis. A large part is devoted to risk factors and further focuses on the most important of them. Attention is paid to establishing a diagnosis - history with a description of possible symptoms, findings on gynecological examination, ultrasound diagnostics, laboratory and laparoscopic techniques. This is followed by a description of the differential diagnosis and possible complications which can be caused by ectopic pregnancy. Part of the text concentrates on the management and therapy with greater emphasis on medical treatment, which is used in some indications in developed countries as an alternative to laparoscopy. The penultimate chapter deals in detail with a rare type of ectopic pregnancy. The conclusion proposes a possible method of prevention.

The Art Nouveau Decor in Prague Ecclesiastical Milieu
Pospíšilová, Inka ; Otavský, Karel (advisor) ; Rakušanová, Marie (referee)
The main theme of bachelor thesis "The art nouveau decor in the Prague ecclesiastical milieu" is to open the questions of applied art using in the roman catholic church and its auxiliary time frame is delimitated by the years 1890-1914. The fact, that the Art Nuovo program was fullfiled especially in big cities, was the reason for focusing on Prague. The first chapter is devoted to the Art Nuovo as a phenomenon, to the research development and basic literature within delineated theme. For functional reasons is this chapter divided into the artistic and ecclesiastical part, whereas the first and larger of them is deailing briefly with the Art Nuovo participations abroad and its acceptance. The second chapter closely evolves the term "Art Nuovo", its newly brought ideas and time space in which we can talk about this movement. The next chapter of the work concentrates on the Czech, especially Prague milieu as the seat of institutions partaking in applied art: It means School of Decorative Arts, Museum of Decorative Arts, Establishment of Artěl, Prague Art Workshops and The Association for Czech Works. With particular filelds of the applied art concerned related subchapters: Glass, metalworks and jewels, clay and ceramics, textiles, furniture and bookbinding. The fifth closing chapter describes...

Shape optimization in contact problems with friction
Pathó, Róbert ; Knobloch, Petr (referee) ; Haslinger, Jaroslav (advisor)
In the present work we formulate a shape optimization problem for the 2D Signorini problem with given friction and a coefficient of friction which depends on the solution. The aim is to find an optimal contact part of an elastic body. A suitable set of admissible domains is given, among which the existence of an optimal one is established for a large class of cost functionals. The shape optimization problem is then approximated. Existence of discrete optimal shapes is proven and convergence analysis is done.

August Brömse. The artist and his paintings
Kašková, Gabriela ; Wittlich, Petr (advisor) ; Prahl, Roman (referee)
The work is based on the estate of August Brömse in the Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie Regensburg, which contains over 1050 letters from the period between 1902 and 1910, and a large collection of sketches and pictures. The structure of the work is determined by this material. The first part is focused on the period up to 1910. On the basis of his correspondence it investigates the artist's life after his studies in Berlin up until his establishment as Professor of Graphics at the Academy of Arts in Prague. The text not only provides a biographical study, but also gives an insight into the cultural life of "Czech Germans" in the specific context of the struggles between Czechs and Germans in Bohemia. Of special interest is the "fight" for the two posts for German professors at the Academy, which lasted four years and was very important for Brömse. The second part is devoted to Brömse's paintings from the period after 1910, which have not yet been treated adequately in research on the artist. It ties in with the first part, which shows the starting points of Brömse's painting and also comments on important pictures in the context of the artist's work. The second part offers an analysis of selected significant paintings. After 1910 Brömse concentrates on religious themes in his work. Two thematic issues have...

The Use of Multichannel Flow Cytometry in Biomedicine and Experimental Biology
Kideryová, Linda ; Smetana, Karel (advisor) ; Elleder, Milan (referee) ; Klíma, Jiří (referee)
Flow-cytometry is a process on which large numbers of single cells are quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed. This method gives information about size, granularity surface or intracellular markers of every single cell in suspension. In modern biology is worthy to perform quick, objective multiparametric analyses of cell phenotype. This project was focused on cells, which analyses are complicated by extreme rareness or lack of clearly identifying specific markers. Analysis of stromal cells of the investigated tumors (histiocytoma and tumor fibroblasts originating in squamous epithelium: basalioma (BCCF) and spinalioma (SCCF) elucidated alteration of gene expression induced by tumor cells. Tumor-derived stromal fibroblasts acquire distinct properties to shape a microenvironment conducive to altering the phenotypic characteristics of normal epithelial cells in vitro. Reproducible, quick and highly sensitive method of detection extremely rare non-haematopoetic cells (EPC, CEC) was established. Numbers of CFU-En correlate neither with circulating endothelial progenitors nor with matured endothelial cells detected by flowcytometry. These colonies are formed in cooperation of CD14 + and CD4+ cells. Numbers of endothelial progenitors and matured endothelial cells are closely related with vessel endothelium...

Pottery of the fifth and sixth dynasty from the excavations of the Czech Institute of Egyptology in the cemeteries of Abusir south
Kytnarová, Katarína ; Krejčí, Jaromír (referee) ; Bárta, Miroslav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the large yet unpublished assemblage of the pottery of the late Old Kingdom coming from the excavations of the Czech Institute of Egyptology in the cemeteries of the officials in Abusir South. The pottery was studied in the light of several main aspects - from the viewpoint of its classification and typology, the vessel manufacturing techniques, the chronological impact and dating limitations of the pottery and, finally, the relevant spatial divisions both according to the cultic and burial spaces in the tombs and in relation to the social status of the tomb owners. The main contribution of this study is the establishment of a new Abusir South pottery classification and an analysis of the chronological development of certain ceramic types.

Network Repository for Performance Evaluation Results
Ondroušek, Pavel ; Kalibera, Tomáš (referee) ; Tůma, Petr (advisor)
For performance evaluation of software systems, benchmarking is used. Benchmarking generates a large amount of output data, which is necessary to store, process and evaluate it. Network Repository serves as a repository of benchmark results. The goal of the master thesis is to design and implement the data storage with a support of various result types with the possibility of the format configuration. Stored results can be processed, evaluated, or used as a source for plotting. As part of the master thesis, the design and implementation of a general framework for benchmark storage and evaluation is developed and a sample configuration for the selected benchmark result data format is established.

The Uniform of the Red Army: Military Attire of the Ranks and the NCOs 1936 - 1946
Prior, Tomáš ; Tumis, Stanislav (advisor) ; Ulvr, Michal (referee)
(in English): Second World War is a very well researched conflict favoured by historians and non-professional enthusiasts alike. Despite its popularity even this subject leaves many areas blank. Areas which were either completely omitted by researches or not studied thoroughly enough. One of these areas is a production technology of Red Army military uniforms. The aim of the thesis is not to merely describe the patterns of military uniforms but to outline the subject with regard to textile industry and chemistry (dyeing). After the critical evaluation of accessible information thesis was based exclusively upon primary sources - manufacturing instructions of the period and specialized literature. All secondary sources were deliberately excluded. The findings proved that specific manufacturing instruction of the period enables the researcher to produce virtually any garment. At the same time established deficiencies are not insolvable. The question which shade of khaki was used in dyeing fabric for uniforms still remains unanswered. A lot of facts established in discipline of textile materials and textile colours are contradictory to generally accepted image of the Read Army soldier which has been formed by cinematography and secondary literature for decades.

Molecular simulations in structure analysis of intercalates
Veteška, Marek ; Pospíšil, Miroslav (advisor) ; Beneš, Ludvík (referee)
The samples of hydrotalcite intercalated with pyrenetetrasulphonate acid were obtained. Their structure cannot be precisely determined by the analysis of X-ray data. The amount of water in the interlayer space and the structure of the samples differed considerably in dependence on humidity. Convenient procedures and minimization strategy were established on the base of X-ray data in the molecular mechanic and the molecular dynamic simulations. A procedure for using of the supramol software was made. This software enables deterministic searching of conformational space. Initial models from supramol were minimized in the Cerius2 software using the Universal force field and then they were eventually optimized by the molecular dynamics. The arrangement of molecules of pyrenetetrasulphonate acid and water was determined in the interlayer space of hydrotalcite for three different samples with different interlayer distances: The sample 1 prepared by RH = 0%: 9.83A; the sample 2 prepared by RH = 84%: 13.63A; the sample 3 prepared RH = 40%-50%: 11.74A a 12.81A. The results of these structures proved a large variability of the arrangement of the molecules in the interlayer space. The sample No. 3 seems to be unstable.
