Underground comics and its treatment in film
Borecká, Kateřina ; Dufek, Jiří (advisor) ; Prokopová, Alena (referee)
In my work, I am concerned with what kind of options are given to film makers by alternative or underground comics in terms of their adaptation. My original goal is not only comparing film adaptation and the original movie, but also comparison of the different approaches by each author. In the first part of my work, I am trying to assort and clarify definitions which describe the alternative comic work and also explain what the alternative comic work actually means. Because I am dealing with the alternative comics which is not very well known in the Czech republic, I attempted a partial summary of its development. I am also trying to outline the theme and style of such pieces at the same time. That is, in my opinion, the only way how to zoom on the possibilities or sources of inspiration that these pieces may or may not offer to film makers. In the second part, I am trying to compare two films which are actually the only two available adaptations of the alternative comics. It is more of a comparison of the overall film concept and comparison of the structure than analysing the films theirselves.

However, since the legal adaptation of housing cooperatives in Commercial code is very general, the position of the members of these cooperatives, including theirs rights and obligations, is regulated by their statutes. Phenomena of death and dying in Czech literature of the 20th century
Záborcová, Milada ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Papoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Med, Jaroslav (referee)
The dissertation thesis deals with distinct semantic levels of the theme of death and dying in a large context of Czech poetry and prose-fiction of the 20th century. In the first two chapters, the approach is supposed to cover broader interpretations of the treatment of death and dying based on philosophical, psychological, medical, ethic, and spiritual background. Due to the large range of the material, just essential frames of the attitudes towards dying are outlined, focusing on European medieval context and older texts of Czech literature. Philosophical background focuses on texts of selected writers who influenced Czech literature of the 20th century and/or were explicitly or implicitly reflected in it. The image of death and dying in Czech literature of the 20th century is analyzed in chapters that are based on periodisation that reflects substantial changes in the perception of death and in the ways of its verbal visualization in literature. The classification of texts is divided into five types based on the differences of the images of death in the composition of distinct literary texts. The first group has the specificities of texts of poetry and prose-fiction of catholic background: the authors, facing the secularization of the world in the first third of the 20th century, have to reflect the...

Psychiatric illnesses represent a substantial part of civilization diseases and their frequency is rising. Depressive episode and alcohol addiction are among the 10 most serious conditions of our time. Epidemiological studies show that every year 100 million people worldwide will suffer depression. At one stage in our lifetime 17% of us will go through a depressive episode. According to Scheene, psychiatric day hospitals fulfil four major tasks: (Scheene, A. H. et al, 1988): They are an alternative to classical psychiatric inpatient care They follow after classical psychiatric inpatient care They are an intensive form of outpatient care They are used for long term rehabilitation of patients with chronic psychiatric disorder One of the major shortcomings of psychiatric day hospital research is the fact that over the last two decades particularly, a broad variety of conceptual models have proliferated through the whole of Europe and the US. They range from crisis intervention and drop-in centres to long term rehabilitative services or highly specialized day centres and there are not many surveys being carried out to assess the detailed characteristics of these services. Therefore the research focuses mainly on comparing acute psychiatric day care with traditional inpatient treatment. Systematic...

In situ Luminescence Detection of Singlet Oxygen
Vyklický, Vojtěch ; Dědic, Roman (advisor) ; Mojzeš, Peter (referee)
The thesis summarises already published results of singlet oxygen luminiscence detection in relation to photodynamic therapy treatment. The spectroscopic and photosensitising properties of the photosensitizer TMPyP and their comparison with already published properties of TPPS4 are presented. Also the inuence of phosphatidylcholine on photosensitising properties of TPP and singlet oxygen lifetime was investigated. The thesis is mainly focused on adaptation and optimisation of experimental setup for singlet oxygen luminescence deteciton from the surface of solid samples with time and spectral resolution using optical fibres with luminescence probe. The usability was tested on polymer matrix (PMMA or polystyrene) containing protoporphyrine IX. Finally, the kinetics of singlet oxygen phosphorescence measured from surface of thin layer of 3T3 murine fibroblasts containing TPPS4 or TMPyP are presented. Thereby the feasibility of singlet oxygen detection in situ was demonstrated using this setup.

New ways of newborn treatment methods in delivery room and their acceptance by parents.
KRLÍNOVÁ, Gabriela
The bachelor thesis is focused on new ways of newborn treatment methods in delivery room and their acceptance by parents. Most recently changes have happened in the approach to newborn nursing in delivery rooms immediately after delivery. The care is focused on the most natural way of the mother-to newborn adaptation after delivery, so that the early contact between the mother and newborn infant could be estabilished as soon as possible after birth. The aim of this work was to found, how the mothers perception of these changes and how the mothers evaluate these changes in comparsion with previous methods. The theoretical part of thesis describes newborn care in delivery rooms immediately after delivery, together stay of newborn and mother in delivery room and their stay in the newborn ward . The practical part was elaborated on the basis of results of a qualitative research conducted by semistandardized interviews. The results of the qualitative survey were processed by means of case reports. The research sample consisted of 7 mothers who gave birth to their second or third child in the delivery room in České Budějovice at a certain period of time. The results of the survey show that most mothers accept the new way of newborn nursing and, in their opinion these methods have brought more positives than negatives when compared with the past methods.
