Studie vhodného uspořádání magnetických obvodů pro realizaci magnetokalorického efektu
Doležel, Ivo ; Ota, J. ; Ulrych, B.
The paper is stimulated by one of very prospective physical do-mains – magnetic cooling based on the magnetocaloric effect. Successful realization of this effect requires a magnetic circuit with permanent magnets producing very strong and uniform magnetic field and the paper deals with arrangements of such circuits. Its crucial point consists in the presentation and consequent discussion of the results that allow estimating the suitability of the considered magnetic circuits.

Differences in the basic pitch relevant to the perceptual distinction of melodemes in English
Veroňková, Jitka ; Palková, Zdenka (advisor) ; Krčmová, Marie (referee)
As in the case of many other languages, the intonation fulfils certain linguistic functions in Czech. It distinguishes conclusive vs. non-conclusive clauses, declarative vs. interrogative clauses and neutral vs. marked usage clauses. In the case of declarative and interrogative clauses, the intonation is the single distinguishing feature. Structures of the basic patterns to express these linguistic functions were standardized and in general accepted, but not enough is known about their particular realizations. In general, these structure types are realized in the final stress unit of the utterance. It has been confirmed that the intonation courses of some functionally diverse contours are similar and there exist overlaps among them. The perceptual differences between contours can be caused only by the size of F0 excursions. Our research focuses on finding minimal distinctions in F0 excursions which are sufficient to distinguish phonologically different types of sentences. Some structure types can be fully realized on the at least three-syllable stress units, that is why these were chosen to be analysed. The research is based both on synthetic speech and natural one. Two sets of synthetic contours, first containg three-syllable stress units and the second the four-syllable ones, that cover the structure...

Klanica, Zdeněk
Nowadays, new interpretations occur in Moravia related to older findings, connected so far with the realization of pre-Christian Slavic cults. In their conclusions, the authors of some essays do not take into their consideration known comparative material, results of domestic and foreign archaeoreligionistics and related scientific disciplines.

Modeling preverbal reprezentations based on the personal construct theory
Filip, Miroslav
The paper arguments for relational or holistic approach to typical psychological issues - mental reprezentations, concepts, experience or categorization, and confronts it with an atomistic approach. Furthemore it tries to support a hypothesis that not all parts of our experience are verbally structured. A formal argument and examples show that we need two complementary principles for psychological realization of any notion of the world which are known from structural semantics: principle of similarity and differences.

Vojtěšková, Zdeňka ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hausenblas, Ondřej (referee)
My dissertation is focused on the changes of education in the Czech Republic after 1989, paying attention to the actual curricular reform which is related to the establishment of cross-sectional topics into our education. However, together with the cross-sectional topics and their implementation new problems of connecting them with the individual educational subjects are emerging. Primary target of my work is to find a general advice how to maintain objectives (sense) of literary education in cross-sectional topics and thus reveal the conditions on satisfying of which the process of connecting cross-sectional topics with the literary education will be successful.
