Evaluation of agrotechnical related measures and methods in relation to wild pig damage.
OPAT, Roman
These days, wild pig, or wild boar, causes considerable damage in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries of almost the whole of Europe. The thesis describes the issues of damage done by the wild pig and the protective measures against this damage. The basis of the thesis was to measure the areas of damaged vegetation of unbearded and bearded varieties of wheat. Damaged areas on individual fields of both varieties were then compared with each other and evaluated. The choice of a variety, as an agro-technological measure against damage done by wild pigs, showed to be very effective. The damages that the wild pig did in unbearded varieties were not done in bearded ones.

Functions in examples and counterexamples
Janda, David ; Pilous, Derek (advisor) ; Zhouf, Jaroslav (referee)
The aim of my Bachelors thesis is to explicate students coming to the uni- versity the key problems in fundamentals of mathematical analysis. I focus on the most notable terms of continuity and limit, which these secondary students were acquainted with. However, majority of them just intuitively and informaly. I am trying to point out the fact, that the knowledge of many students is distortid and uncomplete. As a result it is necessary to practise and clarify this knowledge so that the intuitive imagination of these terms corresponds to the formal definition. I am trying to get this point by brea- king of intuitive imaginations of students by counterexamples. Important is a chapter named The Construction of Functions, which contains instructi- ons leading to the finding functions with specific features. Not only these features, described in this thesis, but also more complex such as derivation, primitive function or uniform convergence. It is a consequence of the fact, that the principle of examples to practise these terms is in many sights similar and repetitious. In chapters named Continuity and Limit, I am interpreting these terms using the special examples, which are in my opinion optimal for rehearsing. My intention is to help illustrate selected problematical sections of mathematical analysis.

THE BODY IMAGE OF YOUNG GIRLS AGED FROM 15 TO 18
OUŘEDNÍKOVÁ, Zuzana
My thesis on Body image with girls at the age range 15 -18 deals with problems of body self-conception. This age period, belonging to the developmental period of adolescence, is characteristic of numerous noticeable crises, which concern psychosocial, physical, and sexual development. My work describes the particularities of developmental period of adolescence as well as historical evolution of the ideal of beauty. Last but not least it deals with the influence of the society, especially media, on the body image of adolescent girls. I also covered the concepts of self-conception, especially physical self-conception further to health {--} disease. In the practical part of my thesis a method of quantitative research was used. Data for supporting or disproving of stated hypotheses were acquired via a questionnaire. The choice of girls inquired was accidental, stratified. The aim of the thesis was to map the problem of body image with girls aged 15- 18. The partial aim was to find out how the attitude of girls towards their own bodies is influenced by media, by the sum of money invested in the improvement of their appearance in proportion with their pocket money, how the girls are satisfied with their bodies and how the above mentioned is influenced by demographic and statistic factors. The results of the research show that 57.8% of girls are dissatisfied with their bodies. Most girls receive big pocket money, but their expenses are by far below it. Only few girls were on a diet, but a lot of girls buy clothes to cover bodily imperfections. I was quite surprised by the fact that only a few girls go in for sports actively. My work also confirmed that bodily self-conception of girls is strongly influenced by media showing ideally beautiful women only when being at malnutrition limit. The results of this work draw the attention to the importance of prevention in the field of body image and related pathological phenomena {--} e.g. by means of improving the health education at schools, by realizing media campaigns, and especially by upbringing in families.

Budějský, Jan ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee) ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor)
1. TITLE OF THE THESIS Jump training in volleyball in young-age categories 2. ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS The problem statement: The requirements for the jump height, i.e. the level of explosive force of legs in the vertical direction, are great in volleyball. Therefore, it is necessary to develop this movement ability already in young-age categories that are best disposed for it and where the highest efficiency increase may be expected. To stimulate them properly, various means may be applied; however, at the same time many principles of young sportsmen training must be respected. The aim of the thesis: The aim of this thesis is to focus on the issue of jump development in young-age categories. Moreover, we would like to present various options of particular means and methods in current training of these categories. Finally, we would like to offer other options which may be used for the development of this movement skill in volleyball. Methods: The theoretical information about the explosive force and its training will firstly be obtained by studying Czech as well as foreign literature dealing with this issue and, secondly, by consultations given by the expert on volleyball players' condition training. The data representing the distribution of particular methods in Czech young- age category volleyball will be...

Nezamestnanosť v Českej republike a Európsky sociálny fond

Impact of investment incentives on employment and development of a region
