Selected Theoretical and Practical Aspects of the Quality of Nursing Care

The subject of this diploma paper is the quality of The Health Sevice. This is a major issue of interest, not only to medical experts, but patiens and the general public. Due to increasing competititon within The Nursery Health Service, hospitals must now, monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and instigate changes as necessary . A glossary of words used within this paper, relating to quality in The Helath Service, is found in the Introduction. Systems of quality assurance, accreditation and resource issues are also introduced. The research focuses on patient satisfaction with the nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit within the surgery department of IKEM. The answers are categorised and either presented graphically or compared statistically. The conclusion contains recommmendations for changes that would improve the quality of nursing care.

This analysis consists of different financial indicators, such as vertical and horisontal analysis, rentability, liquidity and activity indicators, economic value added indicator and others. Through the medium of these indicators is evaluated the financial "health" of the AAA AUTO, a. s. company.

The dissertation is devoted to the introduction process of changes in the directing of nursing care in the pilot program of the Continual increasing of the quality in the neurological department of the Regional hospital in Kolin, a.s. In the preamble of my magister work, I deal with theoretical informations, which are very important for understanding of the processus of the changes in practice. I generally deal with the quality of the health care and with the models how to direct the quality of the health care. I compare if there is a difference in the protests of the staff against the changes in the health care and in some industry branches. The theoretical part of my work is concentrated to the quality model of the Continual increasing, to the problems in its introduction into practice and to the barriers against its realisation in practice. The practical part of my work is devoted to the methods of diagnostics of the organisation, which were used in the process of the direction of the changes. The main part of the work is in the analysis of the situation, which has become the starting point for the direction of the changes in the nursing care. The contents of the antenatal preparation courses, focused on the preparation for breast-feeding

New facts and the results of many studies point to the irreplaceable benefits breast milk and breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is not only natural nutrition, immunological, social and economic comfort for baby and mother, but contributes also to the emergence and deepening psychological bond that develops between mother and child. (1,2,3,6,7,8,10,18,20) Why in the 60s and 70s of the last century occurred in The United States and Europe, the rapid shift away from breastfeeding stems from technological development and the development of science in the twentieth century. Financial analysis of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic

This work is analyzing the financial situation of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. It is analyzed by most used indicator like profitability, solvency and liquidity ratios. It also uses investment valuation ratios and economic value added. The analysis is also comparing the company with its main competitors on the field of mobile communication. The assets and net profit of the company are heavily influenced by the state correction in 2003. From indicators not influenced by the correction we can tell, that financial situation was good in spite of negative net profit. The financial situation in years 2003 to 2008 is very good. Profitability ratios of the main competitor T-Mobile Czech Republic, a.s. are very similar but the researched company has been a little bit better most years. On the basis of this financial analysis I find the financial health of the company very good, with great potential.

The aim of this dissertation is strike a balance of sustainability of public finance and to find perspectives and recommendation for Czech republic.

Psychosocial adaptation of people growing up in individual foster care

Rigorous work was created as a partial project of longitudinal study "Protection of mental health of persons exposed to provable psychosocial risk in the childhood.u (IGA MZ ČR č.NF 55 79-3). The theme of rigorous work was psychosocial adaptation of 46 persons growed up in individua! foster care. In theoretical part I presented concept of resiliency that deals with conditions of successfull adaptation despite life risks. Theme of resiliency was filled in related concepts and put into relation with concept of risk and theory of deprivation. Extensively I presented three representative original concepts of resiliency. The problem of individua! foster care I put into context with characteristics of family and substitute family care. In practical part I described actual psychosocial adaptation of whole research group, differences between men and women and I compared two groups divided according to score of social adaptation researched in previous study in 1991-1994. I had to follow methodological procedure of whole research, but in spite of that I attempted to get information that testified existence of specific resiliencies althougt I could not prove their causality. Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem stárnutí a péče o staré lidi v rodinném prostředí. Co rodinu k péči o seniora vede a jaká jsou úskalí této péče. Jaké potřeby senior má a jak mu rodina může pomoci je uspokojit. Dále jaké potřeby má rodina jako pečující subjekt. Praktická část se věnuje tomu, jaké konkrétní pomoci se rodinám pečujícím o seniora může dostat na Semilsku a jak jí využívají. Uvedeny jsou i právní předpisy týkající se této oblasti a na případech z praxe je názorně ukázáno jaké instituce pomoc poskytují a jak jí pečující využili.
