Lean project management

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of lean project management. It is divided into four main parts. The opening one deals with general principles of project management. The second part includes a list of and a brief description of individual losses within the field. The remaining parts join managers’ practical knowledge with information from reference books. The conclusion contains a custom form which is a basis for an analysis of project work in a company that carries it out. An improvement suggestion follows.
Specifics of the project activities in the social sphere

The diploma thesis deals with project activities in the social sphere. The aim was to find out the specifics of project activities in the social sphere. There was one research question in relation to the objective of the research determined: What are the common features and what is the difference between project activities in social services in the South Bohemian Region? The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on project management, non-profit sphere and especially on social services. The practical part of the thesis was done by qualitative approach. Data of drawing subsidies in social services in 2007 to 2013 in South Bohemian region program of support A were first evaluated in order to achieve the objective of the work. Semi-structured interviews with communication partners from non-profit organizations were done after. They were workers who are taking care of project activities in their work. Criteria for the selection of communication partners were anomalies in the allocated subsidies for social services from the support program A for the organizations in which the communication partners were employed at the time of the interviews. The interview was also conducted with a grant specialist from the South Bohemian Region. The research found that in Support Program A was supported most of these social services: nursing service, professional social counseling and homes for the elderly. On the other side, the following social services were the least supported: therapeutic communities, interpreting services, support for independent housing. Furthermore, the average subsidy from project activities to one social service, the minimum subsidy and the maximum subsidy were determined. Interviews with communication partners showed that everyone is working on projects in a team and have rich experiences. The diploma thesis identified several specifics, such as budget, financial uncertainty, variability of social services, insufficient allocation of funds, financial dependency of organizations on projects, and that projects are for the basic needs of services, such as salaries of employees. This diploma thesis may be an incentive for further research in this area, or a source of information for organizations providing social services and their staff involved in project activities and drawing subsidies.
The Implementation of the Project "Neberte nám naši hru" and the Proposals to its Improvement

Title: The Implementation of the Project "Neberte nám naši hru" and the Proposals to its Improvement Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is a detailed description of the project "Neberte nám naši hru" and based on the research methods which proposed changes for future years of the project. Methods: For a description of the project was used a method of observation in the role of a full member, and an analysis of documents. The parents of children were inquired by questionnaire construction to find out how they had perceived the project. To obtain expert opinions on the realization of the project and its media coverage were carried out two qualitative interviews. Results: The project "Neberte nám naši hru" is perceived by the target group very positively in terms of its main ideas and implementation. In other years can be recommended especially year-round communicate of the project ideas towards the football public in Prague. Within the year-round communication proposes the inclusion of new elements between project activities that should more attractive the project for the participants and for the media, which would contribute to increasing public awareness of the project and its ideas. Personal, Professional and Social Qualities of a Project Manager

The MA thesis is divided to two basic parts. First of them is dealing with personal, social and professional knowledge of a project manager and the second one is mapping the education of soft skills at Czech universities where the subject of study "Information Studies and Librarianship" is taught. The theoretical part is devoted to project management. The attention is devoted to basic terms from project management's area, it represents the most well-known project methodologies, it defines particular roles of a project manager and most importantly the part is dealing with particular competences, which should be commanded by a project manager. The last chapter of theoretical part is devoted to an analysis of the three most well-known project methodologies. The practical part is mapping the situation at universities - namely which subjects they offer within the education of soft skills and how the teachers are working with the subject. Other activities of universities within the education and the development of soft skills are also given. Further the examples of subjects with the same topic taught at American universities are listed. In the end of thesis the recommendation how to improve the quality of teaching soft skill at Czech universities are given. And also which topics could be put among optional...

The bachelor thesis deals with project management in a selected company and subsequent implementation of chosen methods and tools that evaluate the project in terms of it spre project, project and post-project phase. The content of this breakdown includes target goal, logical framework, initiation, planning, implementation, project closeout, output evaluation and proposal processing. The methods and tools are theoretically described and then practically used in the analysis of the current state and the design of the solution.

There are described the basic features of the methodology, which are major benefits for the project management. On practical preparation is demonstrated the possibility of adapting the methodology on a practical elaboration to the specifics of a certain project and there are attached the drawn up project documents.

Abstract The subject of the thesis is "Processing of an offer to a public tender by construction company" from theoretical and practical perspective. In the theoretical part, I define terms related to selecting and processing of the offer briefly. The part describes terms such as marketing, project management methods, project planning including determination of the offer price. I look into the Public Procurement Act, which I consider to be an important control instrument in the processing of offers to public tenders by construction company.
