This thesis deals with an analysis of cookies, a specific field of personal data protection. In particular, the thesis examines the legal aspects of the technology, as well as their insufficiencies. Besides that, it provides an analysis of several examples of privacy violations caused by cookies.
Personal Data Protection in the Company

This thesis is focused on the description of the protection of personal data in the company. It includes explanation of terms connected with protection of personal data and subsequent suggestion of methodology of protection of data in company. The first part of the thesis specifies the theoretical basis and describes the basic terms. Next chapter deals with the current state of the protection of personal data and the final part contains suggested solution for the drawbacks found in the analysis of current state.
Rights and obligations of the employer as a data controller

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of personal data protection, and focuses particularly on the duties of the data controller, which also largely apply to the employer as the controller of the personal data of the employees. The diploma thesis builds primarily on the legal regulation of personal data protection contained in GDPR, while in some sections, a comparison with the previously effective personal data protection legislation is included. The objective of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of fundamental personal data protection institutes from the data controller's point of view with a focus on the analysis of some of the obligations which has been newly introduced by GDPR. The diploma thesis is divided into four chapters, which are further divided into a relatively high number of subchapters. The first chapter contains a historical overview of legislation on personal data protection at the international and European (European Union) level as well as national levels. Labour law aspects of employment of HIV positive persons Abstract This thesis describes and analyses problematics of employment of HIV positive persons. The main focus is on the labour law aspects which are specific or problematic regarding HIV positive persons. The text is divided into three chapters. First chapter provides general information about HIV and AIDS and creates a basis for the whole thesis. The description is focused mainly on the medicinal aspects of HIV and AIDS (its progression, treatment, its spreading, means of contagion). Information about perception of the disease in society is also provided. Second chapter revolves around aspects of employment relationships and agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship with HIV positive persons, as well as with employment of HIV positives in security and armed forces. One of the main themes of this chapter is assessment of medical fitness of job applicants and employees in relation with their HIV positivity. Bachelor thesis focuses attention to individual municipal authorities, mainly to municipal council members and their liability in the scope of political law, private law and criminal law also associated with new legal norms about personal data protection (GDPR) in the scope of independent and delegated competence. The research compares municipality with commissioned local authority and municipality with extended competence in conjunction with other legal norms, such as the Municipalities Act, the Civil Code and the Penal Code. An important part of this thesis is a questionnaire, which is used for the research and it illustrates legal liability of local authorities elected in compared municipalities and an interview with an elected member of municipal council after elections. The results of the research present subjective points of view of municipal council members on their own liability.
The position of the data protection officer in the light of labour law

The position of the data protection officer in the light of labour law Abstract The data protection officer is a specialist in law and practices in the area of data protection. His task is to help to controller and processor to fulfil their obligations associated with data processing. He can perform his function as an employee of a controller or a processor or on the basis of a service contract. His status has certain specifications that the character of some labour law provisions doesn't count with. Although uncertainty about the possibility to give him a dismissal or ask him for damages does not cause problems due to only recent changes of legal regulation yet, disputes that may arise in the future will be expected not only before the Czech courts. The main problem of the issue is, whether the labour law regulation can be extended without further delay to the employed data protection officer in the light of his specific independent position, which is guaranteed him by data protection law.
