Differences in an Actor´s Approach Towards Shakespeare´s Text in Czech and Anglo-Saxon Countries.
Guruncz, Josef ; Neumann, Julius (advisor) ; Borna, Jan (referee)
This thesis is an analysis of the differences which exist in an actor´s and director´s approach towards Shakespeare´s texts in Czech and Anglo-Saxon countries. The aim of the thesis is not a literary content analysis; emphasis is put on the approach of actors or other theatrical artists towards Shakespeare´s plays. By using the word approach in this context it is meant, how actors, directors or production teams work with Shakespeare´s texts and to what extent they are inspired by it during rehearsal. The main method of research is interviews with theatre artists from both cultures and a significant part of the thesis contains the synthesis of the interviews. The author´s own experience, information gained from relevant literature and opinions from the people with whom the interviews have been led has shown, that differences in an actor´s and director´s approach towards Shakespeare´s text in these cultures are predominantly a result of translation, socio-political development and a diverse way of perception of theatres in the countries.

Mapping of PMML and BKEF documents using PHP in the SEWEBAR CMS
Vojíř, Stanislav ; Kliegr, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zamazal, Ondřej (referee)
In the data mining process, it is necessary to prepare the source dataset - for example, to select the cutting or grouping of continuous data attributes etc. and use the knowledge from the problem area. Such a preparation process can be guided by background (domain) knowledge obtained from experts. In the SEWEBAR project, we collect the knowledge from experts in a rich XML-based representation language, called BKEF, using a dedicated editor, and save into the database of our custom-tailored (Joomla!-based) CMS system. Data mining tools are then able to generate, from this dataset, mining models represented in the standardized PMML format. It is then necessary to map a particular column (attribute) from the dataset (in PMML) to a relevant 'metaattribute' of the BKEF representation. This specific type of schema mapping problem is addressed in my thesis in terms of algorithms for automatic suggestion of mapping of columns to metaattributes and from values of these columns to BKEF 'metafields'. Manual corrections of this mapping by the user are also supported. The implementation is based on the PHP language and then it was tested on datasets with information about courses taught in 5 universities in the U.S.A. from Illinois Semantic Integration Archive. On this datasets, the auto-mapping suggestion process archieved the precision about 70% and recall about 77% on unknown columns, but when mapping the previously user-mapped data (using implemented learning module), the recall is between 90% and 100%.

Evaluation of tourism development in the tourism areas of Zlín region
Němcová, Hana ; Kouřilová, Jana (advisor) ; Krejčová, Nikola (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the tourism areas in the Zlín region and to compare the tourism development in these areas. The theoretical part is focused on tourism and its relationship to the regional development and it briefly describes the situation of tourism in the Czech Republic. The practical part is devoted to the tourism in the Zlín region, whose analysis is based on data available from the Czech Statistical Office and on other information provided by the Zlín region. Using relevant data, the potential and the tourism development level in separate areas of the Zlín region are evaluated. For this evaluation are used methods such as analysis of statistical data, description or a synthesis of the knowledge obtained. From author's assumptions about strengths and weaknesses of each and every touristic area are derived some recommendations for continuing progress in the tourism. This thesis contains data and information published by the Czech Statistical Office, Regional Office and Czechtourism Office.

The activity of emergency management authorities in provision of preparedness for resolution of extraordinary ebeny and funding of preparation.
PEŠEK, Jiří
The thesis deals with analysis of current security system in the Czech Republic and, in particular, with the legal framework for the training of state authorities and local governments to manage non-military events. The study and analysis of legislation and the subsequent synthesis of the findings enabled to arrange the chapters into a clearly structured whole. The rights and obligations of the emergency management authorities at the emergency response training and management, the system of security councils and crisis headquarters, activities and the scope of competencies of individual entities providing the emergency response training and management, focusing on the scope and powers of the regional and local administrative bodies, are described. The level of financial security spent by individual institutions on preparation for emergencies management is clearly surveyed. For municipal authorities, a model of a call for the provision of material support and resources at the time of an emergency situation has been suggested, since the large majority of mayors perform this activity voluntarily and without a refund of their salaries (besides their jobs) and they are not fully familiar with the issue. The current security system in the Czech Republic is functioning, and its settings and functionality have been verified in recent years in various emergency situations, without finding significant deficiencies. Yet it is still necessary to optimize the scope, methodology and actions of its components at different levels and in different areas and to consolidate the relevant legislation

Construction of miniature flow-through cells for electrochemical generation of volatile compounds
Hraníček, Jakub ; Rychlovský, Petr (advisor) ; Spěváčková, Věra (referee) ; Komárek, Josef (referee)
(EN) The presented dissertation thesis summarizes the new results of electrochemical generation of volatile compounds usable in atomic spectral methods. The main aim of this work is to develop and to characterize new types of electrolytic flow-through cells and to examine their possibilities of determination of arsenic, selenium and antimony by using the electrochemical hydride generation technique coupled with atomic absorption spectrometry with a quartz tube atomizer. Individual electrolytic cells were designed and constructed to comply with two important requirements. The cathode chamber of the electrolytic cell should have a minimal volume and a high efficiency of analyte conversion to the volatile hydride. Constructed electrolytic cells are divided into the construction groups and described in the experimental part. Selenium was chosen as the first analyte. The relevant working parameters (such as type, concentration and flow rate of electrolytes, generation current and carrier gas flow rate) were optimized for each newly constructed electrolytic cell. Under the optimal working parameters, the basic characteristics of selenium determination were found out by using electrochemical hydride generation. The electrolytic cells were compared to each other and with the classical electrolytic cell...

SUMMARY: The objective of this dissertation is to map, analyse and assess the role of modern information and communication technologies in the field of media education within the initial training and lifelong professional education provided by the police training colleges in the Czech Republic. Media literacy is a part of core competency of each individual in the current societal epoch, which is defined by the communication explosion. The issues of media education are pursued by media pedagogy. The work submitted analyses the scope of media education elements within the individual teaching subjects which are parts of police educational programmes approved by the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic. The research part of the thesis focuses on assessing the media literacy level of Czech police officers. The method of questionnaire investigation of the students of the initial professional training course provided by the police training colleges in the Czech Republic was used for the purpose of the research investigation. Subsequent relevant information was obtained through an unstructured interview with a senior official of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic. The outcome of the dissertation is characterised by the detailed statistical description of the acquired data and the concluding evaluation of...

Pseudoauthenticity of live feeds in tv broadcast
Menšíková, Iva ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Šmíd, Milan (referee)
My bachelor's dissertation is dedicated to the problems of live shots in television news, specifically to the pseudoauthenticity of live shots. It means that I concentrate on a form and amount of live shots in main news programmes of three major TV stations in the Czech Republic (Czech television, Nova and Prima Family). At first, I am going to describe theoretical findings that relates to the topic and that are necessary for understanding the whole problem - including the live shot in the news, text, locality and reporter of the live shot. I am going to explain that live shots are also a part of infotainment. The goal of my dissertation is to demonstrate that the live shots are used too frequently and the reason for its inclusion is not always relevant. Of course I pay attention also to the content of the live shots - if it brings new, actual information that could not be in pre-recorded report or if the live shot mediate the atmosphere from the place of the event. I answer these questions thanks to few examples which show that the live shot often does not bring any added value despite it tries to look like that. Apart from my own research I am interested in the opinion of the spectators - how they see the amount of live shots in television news, if they think live shots are more credible or if...

Proteomic characterization of human NK cell membrane microdomains
Kádek, Alan ; Man, Petr (advisor) ; Martínková, Markéta (referee)
Proteomic characterization of human NK cell membrane microdomains. (in Czech) Bc. Alan Kádek (Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic) Natural killer (NK) cells are one of the important components of innate immune system. Their main function is to fight against tumors, virally infected or otherwise malformed cells. Plasma membranes of NK cells contain regions with specific lipid composition compared to the surrounding membrane (called membrane microdomains or rafts). Because of their lipid composition, microdomains preferentially accommodate some immunologically relevant proteins and play a role during cellular polarization and signalization. Characteristic feature of membrane microdomains is their partial resistance to solubilization by mild non-ionogenic detergents. In this thesis, microdomains were isolated in a detergent-resistant membrane fraction (DRM) from human NK-92MI cell line and from NK cells immunomagnetically enriched from peripheral blood of non-leukemic donors. For the isolation, Triton X-100 or Brij-98 detergent solubilization and ultracentrifugation in a sucrose density gradient was used. Protein composition of isolated DRMs was analyzed by mass spectrometry employing an LC-MALDI-TOF/TOF method. Protein lists generated in these...

Cooperative forms of learning and their use in the upper elementary school
Mitbauerová, Naděžda ; Kasíková, Hana (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jiří (referee)
On the first pages I tried to theoretically process problems of cooperation and its use from different point of view. The main goal of this work was to discover the teachers' and students' approach on cooperative methods. If they consider them as appropriate, useful and funny as it's written in many other publications. I didn't forget to define essential concepts either. Cooperation itself is in the society dealed with many scientific sectors such as sociology, politic science, psychology, even economy, ecology and last but not least didactics and pedagogy itself. The base for my research was to know as many theoretical aspects on cooperative form of teaching. To make mapping of relevant knowledge about cooperative learning and teaching more meaningful, my work includes empiric part, which describes research survey focused on cooperative teaching form and its use on the second grade on the basic school. The crucial goal of research was to find out what opinion on cooperative forms of education do the teachers and students have and what cooperative method do they consider as the most appropriate. Start from theoretic research preparation and lead to own research performance and evaluation of gain data. In the end of my work I tried to create summary of gain data and their evaluation. Key words:...
