Problems informedness of family members about offer of nursing to patients suffering from epilepsy
SCHWARZOVÁ, Blanka
The bachelor{\crq}s thesis titled ``The Issue of Family Members´ Awareness of Caring for Patients Suffering from Epilepsy{\crqq} deals with the field of knowledge and information that should be provided to members of families of patients suffering from epilepsy. For the thesis, goals and assumed hypotheses were defined; quantitative research was applied to verify them. Respondents from two selected workplaces took part in the research. The results of the research work show that close relatives of patients have certain basic knowledge of the disease, but the information they receive are not complete, not to say exhausting. There are areas, in which the patients and their family members tend to follow various prejudices and superstitions rather than scientific information, though they are expected to participate in caring for the patients. On the basis of the research, there was an attempt to define areas, in which respondents did not have enough important information, and to concentrate on them within more in-depth education of patients and their relatives.

Integration of foreigners in the second generation
Nováková, Zuzana ; Čabanová, Bohumila (advisor) ; Jaganjacova, Dubravka (referee)
Diploma thesis "Integration of foreigners in the second generation (coexistence of Vietnamese and Czech families in Cheb) deals with the current situation in the issue of the integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic, which is mostly displayed in the way of living of the second generation. The thesis is specifically focused on Vietnamese immigrants, who first had come to Czech because of work during the communism and returned back and started not only working, but also started family and having children after the revolution in 1989. Nowadays Vietnamese form one of the biggest groups of migrants in CR, what significantly influences the situation especially in the westbohemian region, where the group had been concentrated because of economic reasons. While using theoretical knowledge of the situation, methods of policy analysis (causal model, SWOT analysis) and sociological research (semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and observation) the goal of the thesis was to describe the situation of the second generation, what problems are dealt within the situation, what is the attitude of the society towards them and vice versa. According to this description the thesis deals with the evaluation of the integration approach of public policy and suggests precautions that would improve the situation in the...

Inhibion potential of acetylcholinesterase reactivators in vitro testing
Šepsová, Vendula ; Vopršalová, Marie (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of farmacology and toxicology Candidate: Vendula Šepsová Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Vopršalová, Csc. Title of diploma thesis: Inhibiotin potencial of acetylcholinesterase reactivators - in vitro testing. Nerve agents belong to the group of OFI that irreversibly binds to acetylcholinesterase (AChE). Neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) is not degraded and its increased concentration causes excessive aggravation of cholinergic receptors, known as acute cholinergic crisis [Patočka, 2004]. The main aim of this study was to compare the relationship between structure and inhibitory effect of AChE reactivators. This knowledge can be used in designing structures of new peripherally acting AChE inhibitors with a reversible effect. The mechanism of peripheral inhibition of AChE is already used for prophylaxis of nerve agent poisoning. The mechanism of action is that reversible inhibitor binds to AChE, it prevents binding of nerve agent on this enzyme. Reversible AChE inhibitors are also used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis and in anesthetic practice, to reverse the action of muscle relaxants administered [Brufani, 1997], where the increased concentration of ACh at the neuromuscular synapses is desirable to restore the...

Basic issues of the custody of children (a comparison of Czech and Spanish law)
Kemény, Ágnes ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Radvanová, Senta (advisor)
71 Essential problems of alternative family care (comparison of the Czech and Spanish legal regulation) In my thesis I have concentrated on the contemporary situation of alternative family care. There are various forms of alternative family care e. g. the adoption, foster care, institutional education and fosterage. The most important for my thesis was the adoption, because during the adoption is being created a new family and also because through this form of alternative family care could be created a relationship between adoptive child and adoptive parent, which is similar to the relationship between the parents and their own child. Furthermore, a child can be assigned to the foster care, fosterage or institutional education. These mentioned forms are important and they have to first of all protect the interests of a child. The choice of one of these forms of alternative family care has to be in accordance with the individual circumstances and needs and as well with the situation of the child's own family. For my thesis I have chosen the comparison of the two legal regulations (Czech and Spanish), because it was more interesting to read and compare how is the alternative family care regulated in the legal system of another country than just in the Czech legal system. My choice of the comparison with...

Evaluation of Eduction on Basic and Secondary Schools
Kindl, Lukáš ; Kratochvílová, Věra (referee) ; Vasileská, Marie (advisor)
As of January 1st, 2006, based on the law 561/2004 Coll., the Ministry of Schools, Youth and Physical Education founded an independent institution called "Center for educational results appreciation" (abbreviated as CERMAT). The Center concentrates on solving several key issues related to the need to ensure easy to understand, comprehensive and mutually measurable educational results. Leaving aside the issue of state coordinated secondary school leaving examination, evaluation and auto-evaluation of schools stands out as equally important area of interest. This area is being worked out within the system project KVALITA I under European Social Fund (ESF). The aim of the project is to gradually develop new system for monitoring and evaluating results of primary and secondary education. The thesis deals with creation of tools (in the form of achievement tests) aimed at evaluation and auto-evaluation of educational results reached in science topics, namely in chemistry. Preparatory and submission phases were followed by didactic analysis of statistical data obtained through pilot survey using two sets of tasks (each in two modifications), namely "Chemistry basics" and "Critical reading focused on healthy diet and regime". Based on proposed changes the tasks were adopted and tests were created to measure the...

Sergej Prokofjev - Piano Compositions for Small and Big Pianists
Hubková, Terezie ; Gregor, Vít (advisor) ; Kopecká, Věra (referee)
Sergei Prokofiev is one of the foremost composers of the 20th century. He was also an excellent pianist, and therefore it is not surprising that he devoted a great part of his work to the piano. I would like to put near both aspects of Prokofiev's production in my thesis, the piano music for advanced pianists and the compositions which we could use in classes at the music schools. From the first group I have chosen the monumental sonata cycle which is formed of nine piano sonatas. I would like to concentrate on the First Piano Sonata op. 1 and the second movement from the Fourth Piano Sonata op. 29. I tried to to make a deeper and interpretative analysis. From the compositions for children I have inserted into my thesis the piano transcription of the symphonic fairy tale Peter and the Wolf op. 67 and Music for Children op. 65. At least marginally I allude Tales of an Old Grandmother op. 31, Prelude op. 12 and the part of piano suite from the ballet Romeo and Juliet op. 75. The piano compositions by Sergei Prokofiev don't often sound from the concert podiums. I think it is a pity so I would like my work to serve as a small inspiration.

Zdeněk Václav Tobolka and his contribution to knowledge organization
Application of the multicriterial decision making for an investment portoflio
Mulakaeva, Alfiia ; Brožová, Helena (advisor) ; Adam, Adam (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the selection of suitable investments (shares) for a particular investor and the creation of an investment portfolio with the help of multiple-criteria decision analysis. The first part of the work summarizes the theoretical background of security portfolio creation, acquaints the reader with the concept of stocks and methods of analyzing equity instruments. It also provides an overview of the functioning of the capital markets generally and specifically in the Czech Republic. The second part focuses on the approaches and procedures for solving decision-making problems. Methodological apparatus includes systems analysis, linear optimization and multi-criteria decision making methods. The third part of the thesis concentrates on the application of this methods for the formation of the investment portfolio in the presence of multiple criteria. Most important ratios of the stock market and the magic triangle return, risk and liquidity are reflected in equities choice. Stock selection is carried out by using models of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives in two rounds and portfolio composition is determined by the classical model of linear programming. As a result, investor gets a recommendation for his portfolio, which contains a number of shares of selected companies on the Czech market. This procedure of creating the portfolio can be used by individual investors, financial advisors and brokers and complement their knowledge, experience and intuition.
