Design of the engineering structure
Svoboda, Adam ; Volf, Marek (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with design issues of industrial buildings and is focused especially on design and assessment of short corbels. The first part of the thesis consists of a translation of technical text published by prof. J. Schlaich (E DIN 1045-1). In the second part of the thesis is the gained knowledge applied on assessment of existing industrial structure SUAS a.s. in Vřesová. For the analysis of short corbels is used the strut-and-tie model and the method of limitation of concrete compressive stress at the nodes of the strut-and-tie model. The thesis concludes with structural strengthening of nonconforming short corbels by using prestressed cables to ensure safe operation of the crane runway.

Requirements for manager of the construction company
Malková, Darina ; Louda, Pavel (referee) ; Linkeschová, Dana (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with the requirements for manager of the construction company. The theoretical part focused on manager attributes, knowledge, managerial activities and the ability to lead the team. The practical part bachelor’s thesis based on the hypotheses, which I checked by a questionnaire survey. This survey finds especially which requirements are placed on managers in the construction company and whether students of Faculty of Civil Engineering Brno University of Technology are comply with these requirements.

Usage of simulation models and software to analyze and improve the process of production company
Fousek, Jakub ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with simulation of manufacturing of the order for production of 50 pieces of radial fans RFC 200 in company ALTEKO, Inc. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out whether it is under current conditions feasible to complete the order and deliver goods to customer in time. The order also includes selection of appropriate engine supplier using the methods of multicriteria evaluation of alternatives. The objective of the first three chapters is to familiarize reader with theoretical basis of multiple criteria decision making, simulation models and project management. The fourth part describes the concept of simulation program Simul8. The fifth part provides information about the company ALTEKO, its history and current business running. In the last chapter theoretical knowledge is used to real problem by using the most important tool simulation of manufacturing process. In the simulation current state of the manufacturing process is explored and proposals how to eliminate weak bottle necks of the process using the experimenting with the model. Based on the obtained results the possible solutions which should be helpful for improvement of company´s processes even in case that the order is completed in time will be proposed.

Advertisement campaign and search engine optimization of e-shop Cyklostore.cz
Hennlich, Pavel ; Chudán, David (advisor) ; Vojíř, Stanislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis consists of two main topics, an online advertisement campaign and the issue of search engine optimization - SEO. These two topics are described in the theoretical part based on newest trends and findings, and then applied on the chosen e-shop. The practical part then consists of a description of the marketing campaign conducted by the author, an analysis of the website on which is the campaign targeted together with suggestions of how to solve the problems detected on the web, application of these suggestions and a final evaluation of the undertaken changes. Main contribution of the thesis is the optimization and propagation of the chosen e-shop. As a secondary contribution the improvement of author's and reader's knowledge can be considered.

Comprehensive Website Analysis
Štrupl, Václav ; Raška, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tichý, Jan (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe points of view from which you can analyze web pages and what methods you can use. In practice, the target group of this text would be rather managers than technical workers, because this work is not meant to be a compact "cookbook" after reading which you are able to analyze web sites by yourself. Instead, I'm trying to involve all the web site qualities and help with setting priorities in analytical activities which are fundamental when you are designing a new or running an existing web site. Writing my work I was coming first of all from my own experience having been gained by long self studies and work in consulting companies "H1.cz" and "Dobrý web". The analysis of web pages has been one of the most important services provided by both of these companies and it has been ordered by hundreds of both individual and enterprise clients until these days. The work is divided into major thematically designated parts, each focused on a specific quality of web pages (e.g. usability, accessibility, search engine optimization etc.) with its own particular analytical procedures and methods. I consider this way of division to be the most transparent, even though you can find other possible ways such as dividing all the analytical methods into groups according to the part of the life cycle in which the analyzed web site is situated. Some of the analytical procedures and methods are easier to understand from examples than from the text description and that is why I have used some well-known web sites of University of Economics' institutions as examples.

Enhanced biomechanical characteristics of connective tissues and development of artificial implants
Varga, Ferdinand ; Amler, Evžen (advisor) ; Rosina, Jozef (referee) ; Daniel, Matej (referee) ; Sabo, Ján (referee)
(english) Hyaline cartilages are designed to enable smooth life-long articular move- ment. They serve also substantial role in load bearing, being loaded especially in normal compression. Eventual deterioration of articular cartilage tissue therefore has crucial consequences for affected individ- ual. Characterization of native articular cartilage and application of gained knowledge in reconstructive cartilage treatment is therefore de- sired. Mechanical characteristics are of prime importance. Blunt impact testing method in pendulum setup was developed to characterize cartilage tissue under physiological values of dynamic com- pressive loading. Information on impact process was simultaneously read by piezoelectric accelerometer and laser doppler vibrometer. Acquired data were processed to form loading diagrams and to evaluate standard mechanical quantities. The method was found to be consistent, reliable and effective way of mechanical characterization. Introduced technique was used for qualitative and quantitative de- scription of native articular cartilage, correlation of its condition with mechanical properties, assessment of tissue engineered materials quality and approval of newly designed artificial materials suitability. Consider- ing native cartilage status, dissipated energy was found to be...

Web interface for ontology similarity measures
Pichl, Ota ; Zamazal, Ondřej (advisor) ; Svátek, Vojtěch (referee)
Semantic Web is one of the most recent topics on the internet. The idea of Semantic Web is associated to informatics ontologies which can provide features for description of web knowledge. Ontologies than bring the feature of semantic annotation for data and knowledge on the internet. This work is focused on comparison of ontologies and determination of their similarity or dissimilarity. Determination of these similarities can be made with various types of methods like vector space measures or collection measures. It is appropriate to implement these methods due to problems and uncertainties which ontologies can bring. Ontology independence is one of the basic characteristics (open world assumption) and because of independence there can appear certain conflicts if exist two ontologies describing the same part of reality. There can be a problem when these two ontologies describe the same entity but with different label or in different structure. Nevertheless there are many other reasons for making these comparisons e.g. extension of semantic search engines or searching for similar ontologies which could be joined together. Solution of this problem can be found in ontology similarity measures. Currently there is no application like this which would provide methods for ontology measures. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a web interface which will provide essential methods for determination of ontology similarity.
