Application of Heuristics on Vehicle Routing Problem
Gerlich, Michal ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with solving a real case from one specific part of Operations Research -- Discrete Models. The case can be classified as Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) which is a subset of classical Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP). The VRP is modified TSP when requirements of customers and capacities of trucks play role. The data needed for calculations were taken from the real situation of Pivovar Svijany a.s. The problem can be defined as VRP with cars with different capacities and split delivery. Even though the mathematic model of the problem is known and described in the thesis, the size of the problem is too big to be optimized. Therefore heuristic was used to solve it. Because of the good computational results in the past the savings algorithm was chosen. Its model was set using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The thesis (among others) analyses the sensitivity of the output on the values of the factors that can be chosen by the analyst. At the end of the thesis the best found solution is presented and the initial and the new scheme of the circles are compared.

Exploratory spatial data analysis
KRÁLÍK, Jan
The goal is a sophisticated evaluation of the possibility of using exploratory spatial data analysis in the analysis of socio-economic activities in the area. Exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) is a collection of methods used to survey spatial data of different nature, which is used in a wide range of graphic or visual methods, and maps. Spatial data is a characteristic that applies to certain locations in space, ie. As already known, where data exist and how they polohu. In practical part describes how to apply demographic data using a computer program Geode. As input into the program GeoDa serves the statistical data (data series), which can be obtained, for example on the website of the Českého statistického úřadu.Tato data must then be adjusted to a desired format and opened in the program GeoDa. Output GeoDa program are different maps (in this case the Czech Republic), where monitoring demographic indicator categorized in several colors and these colors are then placed around the map, according to that which takes the values pursued by the phenomenon in a particular area.

The Using Logistics in a Manufacturing Company
BODLÁKOVÁ, Alena
This bachelor thesis deals with using logistics in the brewery Městský pivovar PLATAN s. r. o. It reports on the present state of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consumption in the Czech Republic. The consumption of non-alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beer has a significantly increasing trend. The largest part of alcoholic drink consumption in the Czech Republic is beer. The strategy of the brewery Platan is presented. The strategy should lead to maintain the sale position the company has reached. An analysis of competitive environment was performed for the investigation of market position of the company Platan. The study describes the material flow and information flow in the company as well. The material flow was described in terms of inputs, production, outputs and reverse logistics. The results of this study show that the gastronomy sphere customers have the widest requirements. Based on the questionnaire investigation, the standards in providing brewing services were compiled. Finally, the distribution services was examined and the possibility of using own transportation when compared to the outside forwarding agent services was explored.

Assesment centre as a tool for selection of employees in bank sector
Hlavicová, Kateřina ; Wagnerová, Irena (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
Assessment centre is very useful and popular method for selection of employees on various positions. It has been used for already several decades all over the world. There are many tasks and tests, which can be used, but selection of criteria and training of assessors are important too. When Assessment centre is over and candidates have gone, meeting of assessors begins. At the meeting the assessors identify, which candidate is acceptable for a given position and which is not. At this meeting outputs and feed backs are worked out and this outputs are passed along to contracting autority and to candidates. One example of real Assessment centre is mentioned in second part of this graduation theses. It also contains a research, which aims to figure out what the validity of this particular Assessment centre is.

Human relation development in the framework of European social fund (operational programme human development resources in the Ministry for regional development CZ)
Pličková, Ema ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to outline the role of the European Social Fund in the frame work of further education. This thesis is based on the concept of society of knowledge and education. It deals with the role of further education and development of humans resources. The European social fund is described here from the point of view of the tourism industry whose employees represent a large portion of the population working in the services. It further describes projects implemented by the Ministry for Regional Development in the framework of the Program Development of Human Resources for the sphere of tourism industry within the period of 2005 - 2008. In the tourism sector besides a few of large companies there are active mainly medium to small sized enterprises. These are generally unable because of high financial requirements to train their own employees and current crises does not make it any easier. However, the travel industry has been always underestimated in further education. It is the travel industry that offers job opportunities for 59 0000 self employed persons and 181 000 employees. The output of this thesis is the evaluation of projects realized by the Ministry for Regional Development and financed by European Social Fund and co financed by the State Budget within the "old"...

Atomic analysis as the tool for understanding mental operations of students
Nuslová, Veronika ; Hejný, Milan (advisor) ; Jirotková, Darina (referee)
The aim of this thesis is familiarization with the atomic analysis method. The historical development of the method, its current use and the author's practical experience together enable a comprehensive conception of the method to be formed. A substantial part of the thesis consists of an experiment with six fourth grade pupils resulting in three distinct outputs. First, a survey of the historical development of atomic analysis. Second, educational material processed in Microsoft Class Server, which has already been used and will continue being made use of in training primary school teachers at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague. Third, a demonstration of the atomic analysis of a specific video recording and accompanying written material obtained from the experiment. Keywords: atomic analysis, students' mistakes and misconceptions, constructivist approach, combinatorics, experiment

Implementation of Business Intelligence in building industry
Melichar, Jan ; Novotný, Ota (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on the strategic performance management and Business Intelligence domain. Main objectives of the thesis are to define strategic goals of building enterprise by help of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) concept and to assign specific metrics to these strategic goals. Another objective of this work is to design Business Intelligence (BI) implementation which means building a data warehouse upon company data, multidimensional cubes and user-defined reports. Initial theoretical principles are described in the first part of this work in which main issues of strategic performance management, BSC concept and BI domain are specified. In the practical part the strategic goals and specific metrics of building enterprise are defined. The output of this chapter is an overall strategic map containing strategic goals with assigned metrics and also comments describing mutual relationships of these goals. Next chapter deals with building a data warehouse upon company data, multidimensional cubes and user-defined reports with measured values interpretation. Contribution of the thesis consists in the enterprise management model upon BSC concept which helps specify strategic goals and also the design of BI implementation which should simplify monitoring of these strategic goals by the help of the metrics specified. Another contribution for building industry enterprise management can be an overview of main BI technologies and the ways and means of its practical application.
