Marketing Strategy of Unicorn Company

The goal of the master thesis is to suggest a marketing strategy for company Uni-corn a.s. based on marketing situation analysis. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, the concept of marketing and marke-ting management are discussed and the perception of marketing mix is described. It presents further methodology for the practical part. The practical part contains situation analysis in which the study of outer and inner enterprise environment is presented. The result is a basis for SWOT analysis a furthermore composition of EFE and IFE matrix. Next, the suggestions for tactical targets are determined through the marketing mix. In conclusion a proposition of marketing strategy is presented which is founded not only on situation analysis but also on review study of contemporary company marketing tools.

Comparison of the Impact of Education on Economic Growth in Subregions of Europe

This thesis examines the impact of investments in human capital via additional years of schooling on economic growth. The main aim is to verify the hypothesis about expected positive impact of additional year of schooling on economic growth in subregions of Europe and that the impact will be bigger in subregions of Northern and Western Europe. Human capital theory and economic theory of growth are introduced as well as theoretical model of economic growth that developed by author to analyse the impact. In order to investigate the theory on a data, an econometric model is introduced. The model assumes that the real GDP per worker depends on the stock of physical capital per worker and average years of schooling of worker. Data set that is used for the estimation consists of observations for 34 countries from 1955 to 2010 in 5 years intervals. Using OLS and TSLS estimation methods, 10 regressions are then run with two of them for the entire dataset and two of them being run for each subregion apart, for the purpose of comparison. The results of regression for the entire dataset confirm the expected positive impact of additional years of schooling in Europe region, the finding also agrees with the previous empirical literature (Bassanini and Scarpetta 2001, Soto 2009, Barro and Lee 2013) as well as with the theory of human capital and economic growth. In addition to this, the results of regressions that were run for subregions apart suggest that this impact is heavily related to the quality of education, which tends to be better in Northern and Western Europe, where the impact of additional years of schooling was confirmed separately as well. These findings correspond with the previous empirical literature of economic growth of Soto (2009) and Hanushek and Woessmann (2012), where the quality of education turned out to be crucial as well.

Řízení kurzových rizik v exportní firmě

Cílem této diplomové práce je nejen teoreticky popsat řízení kurzového rizika, ale také zpracovat konkrétní případovou studii a nastínit, jak je tato problematika řešena v českých podmínkách. Základem je teoretické vymezení podstaty problému a jeho analýza. Důraz je také kladen na objasnění fungování vybraných hedgingových instrumentů. Takto získané teoretické poznatky jsou poté aplikovány na konkrétní případ jedné z největších dopravních firem v České republice. Nechybí tedy rozbor všech vazeb firmy, které mají vliv její devizovou pozici, predikce vývoje měnového kurzu a analýza současného způsobu zajištění. Nedílnou součástí práce je pak i několik návrhů, které mohou vést ke zlepšení fx managementu firmy.

Fundamental analysis of Turkish Airlines

The aim of the thesis is to perform fundamental analysis of the Turkish Airlines' stocks to see if the shares are priced correctly and whether it is worth investing in. I chose this company, because I am accustomed to use its services. This thesis starts with a global analysis, continues with sectoral analysis and concludes with a firm's analysis. The work is designed in such a way that at the beginning of each chapter the theory is given, and then it immediately proceeds to the practical part. The conclusion of the thesis is the analysis of the aircraft industry and the revelation of the factors that influence on its development. The situation in the country was assessed in its relation to the Turkish Airlines' development. The benefit of the research is the investment suggestion.

Study of Electrophysiological Function of the Heart in Experimental Cardiology

Srdeční poruchy, jejichž příkladem je ischemie myokardu, infarkt, hypertrofie levé komory a myokarditida, jsou v experimentální kardiologii obvykle studovány na modelu izolovaného srdce. Kritéria pro detekci srdečních poruch však nejsou pro zvířecí modely standardizována, což komplikuje srovnání a interpretaci výsledků různých experimentálních studií. Obzvlášť složitá situace nastává při současném výskytu několika patologických jevů, jejichž vzájemná součinnost komplikuje rozpoznání jejich individuálních účinků. Korektní posouzení stavu srdce vyžaduje také zohlednění mnoha faktorů spojených s akvizicí dat. Tato práce je věnována kvantitativnímu hodnocení elektrofyziologických změn způsobených globální ischemií myokardu. Vliv ischemie byl hodnocen pro fyziologická srdce a srdce se zvětšenou levou komorou a dále pro srdce nabarvená napěťově-citlivým barvivem di-4-ANEPPS. Přestože jsou oba fenomény často zastoupeny v animálních studiích, nebyl dosud popsán jejich vliv na manifestaci ischemie v elektrogramech (EG), ani nebyl kvantifikován jejich vliv na přesnost detekčních algoritmů pro identifikaci ischemie. Práce shrnuje kvantitativní změny srdeční funkce vyvolané ischemií (v normálních podmínkách, při hypertrofii levé komory, a při administraci barviva) založené na hodnocení EG a VKG parametrů. Dále práce obsahuje rozbor důležitých aspektů akvizice záznamů, jako je umístění snímacích elektrod, způsob výpočtu deskriptorů z EG a VKG (s použitím výsledků manuálního rozměření záznamů, nebo bez něj) a identifikace okamžiku vývoje ischemie v preparátu. Nedílnou součást práce tvoří návrh, realizace a ověření metod pro automatickou detekci ischemie v experimentálních záznamech. Výsledky práce dokazují, že dosažení opakovatelných a věrohodných výsledků je podmíněno zohledněním všech výše uvedených faktorů souvisejících jak se stavem srdce, tak s metodikou záznamu a analýzy dat.

Physical demands of selected professions, creating a compensative program for sedentary profession.

The main theme of my work is finding the locomotive load in selected professions and build a compensation program for professionals with a sedentary job. When selecting this topic for me was the decisive topicality of the selected topic, I see especially in the ever-growing problems with musculoskeletal system of persons employed in sedentary occupations, which are one of the consequences of their employment. The first theoretical part of the thesis includes a detailed analysis of the issues examined based on theories that describe the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system. I characterize also the sedentary lifestyle and sedentary employment in general and describe workplace ergonomics professionals selected for the needs of my thesis. In theory there need explaining motion compensation modes based on medical aspects of the workforce in selected professions sedentary jobs. The practical part of the thesis was to determine the quantitative research on a sample of probands peace musculoskeletal load in connection with the exercise of their profession. Results of the research were my starting point to build a compensation programs that would positively affect the quality of life of current probands. To meet the targets I have been primarily assisting methods of quantitative research using questionnaires. The reason for choosing this method is smooth and straightforward data collection enabling the rapid analysis and processing. The research group of people that was chosen includes professions that are characterized by their sedentary job: professional driver, an office worker and painter Christmas decorations. I observed the objectivity of the research questions musculoskeletal load in selected professions, I firmly establish the criteria on the basis of purposive sampling was assembled group of three professionals with a sedentary job. During the research, I pay attention to individual cases, carried out their detailed descriptions and subsequently proposed compensatory exercises by the parties for some time applied. After this time was collected by new data and a qualitative comparison with the data starting. I am convinced that the results of my research work can help all persons working in occupations with a sedentary job, provided the inclusion of adequate compensatory exercises in his career, but also leisure life.

The marketing study of company Aquasvět Chomutov

The diploma thesis brings the marketing study of company Aquasvět Chomutov. The own thesis is about the theory that gave a basic data for used methods and processes. Includes basic terms of marketing used in thesis. In practical part there is an introduction of the subject of thesis Aquasvět Chomutov. There are analyses made for main analysis SWOT, for its use. These are financial analysis and the competition analysis and the analysis of surroundings. Thanks to given data from used analysis it was possible to make SWOT analysis that showed weak and strong points of the company. There was also the marketing research made to show the meaning of customers and the way how they look at the company. At the end of the thesis there are suggested actions for improving the customer meaning and the attendance of the studied subject and the conclusion of given data.

Political Aspects of Local Government - Party System of Nýrsko

The present dissertation is focused on the development of the party systems on the local level of political decision making with the aim to verify applicability of the party systems theory. The dissertation is divided into two parts - the theoretical bases and the thesis itself. The theoretical part deals with the definitions of the fundamental concepts, such as a political party, a municipality, municipal administration, the municipal election system, and last but not at least it is focused on the party systems and their applicability in practice. The practical part of the dissertation is approached as a case study dealing with the town of Nýrsko. It contains a short characterization of the basic demographic and socio-economic indicator of the municipality. The thesis searches for the main factors having an influence on the party system in the municipality of Nýrsko, it inquires about the political area for the consequent study of the political system, the extent of political participation, the political plurality and the inception of political parties. Then the applicability of the party system theory and the role of political parties in the local political area are researched.
