Control Design of the Rotation Inverted Pendulum
Cejpek, Zdeněk ; Němec, Zdeněk (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is building of a simulator model of a rotary (Furuta) pendulum and design of appropriate regulators. This paper describes assembly of a nonlinear simulator model, using Matlab–Simulink and its library Simscape–Simmechanics. Furthermore the paper discuss linear discrete model obtained from the system response, using least squares method. This linear model serves as aproximation of the system for designing of two linear discrete state space regulators with sumator. These regulators are supported by a simple swing–up regulator and logics managing cooperation.
Dependence of the value of the construction enterprise on the size of the equity
Bahenský, Miloš ; Kocmanová, Alena (referee) ; Špirková,, Daniela (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with the valuer issues of business valuation with construction production in the condition of the Czech economy. The business valuation issue is, and will always be, highly relevant in a market economy environment, with regard to both methodical and practical approaches. The main aim of the doctoral thesis is to demonstrate the dependence constructing empirical regression model to determine the value of the construction enterprise by the chosen income valuation method based on the equity (book value of equity in historical costs). The first part of the doctoral thesis is a research study describing the approach of the authors to the current state of knowledge concerning the issues of business valuation, aspects of equity, using the principles of system methodology. Based on these findings, a space is defined in which it is possible to propose a solution of a partial problem in terms of selecting the enterprise value category and the associated income valuation methods suitable for extensive time-series analysis. An integral part of the doctoral thesis is the determination of the sample size of construction enterprises according to the assumptions and limitations of the chosen methodology. Empirical research for data collection is based on Justice.cz database. Another important part is, in the spirit of system approach principles, the choice and application of the method of system discipline for the solved problem of doctoral thesis. The result of the solution is an empirical regression model, which after subsequent validation in multiple case studies could also be recommended for wider verification in valuers practice. Part of the thesis will also include discussions in the wider context of the potential benefits of the doctoral thesis for practical, theoretical and pedagogical use.
Software for identification of dynamic systems
Zimek, Tomáš ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Lang, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with methods of identification of dynamic systems in time and frequency domain. Nonparametric and parametric methods of identification are analyzed. Selected methods are implemented in Matlab & Simulink sotware. Finally, the user guide for the created Python application is introduced.
Moving averages in time series
Uhliarik, Andrej ; Cipra, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hudecová, Šárka (referee)
This thesis focuses on time series analysis usikng methods based on moving averages, especially the method based on the approximation of the trend compo- nent of a time series by polynomial functions. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we describe procedures for choosing right weights, degree and length of moving average for a specific time series. In the practical part, we are demonstrating this process on real data. A part of the thesis is a simple software for smoothing time series and tables with weights of moving averages for specific degrees and lengths. 1
Negation in Fuzzy Logic
Dekrét, Lukáš ; Havlena, Vojtěch (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with fuzzy logical connections, mainly negations, their properties and constructions. We focused our attention on triangular norms and conorms, which are often used for modeling of fuzzy conjunction and disjunction. We showed the possibilities of constructions of triangular norm and conorm using involutive negations.Futhermore, we dealed with approximation of function, which was created using empirical data to well known fuzzy negator.
Hydraulic roughness of water supply pipes
Náplavová, Eva ; Hofmannová, Lenka (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with hydraulic roughness of water pipelines, its consideration while making a hydraulic model and subsequent calibration of hydraulic simulation model. In the theoretical part literary review about current approach to hydraulic modeling of water mains and its possible future direction is carried out, as well as an overview of used roughness coefficients, computational formulas and possible approaches to calibration of the hydraulic model. In the practical part of the thesis, a matematical model of the supply main of the water mains network of Hvozdná is compiled and is followed by its calibration. The method of weighted least squares is used as an objective function. Optimization methods are used to minimize the value of the objective function and thus to determine the hydraulic roughness of supply main.
Automatic tuning of the DC motor controller
Tran, Adam ; Brablc, Martin (referee) ; Najman, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with designing of algorithmus for automatic controller tunning for DC motors. Automatic tuning function consist of system identification and controller parametrization. Cascade control loop was chosen for its robustness and proper DC motor control. For electric system identification of DC motor was used recursive method of instrumental variables, because of noisy signal from current transducer. In the case of identification mechanical system, there were used least sqares method. According to identified parameters, current controller was parametrized by optimum module and revolution controller according symetrcal optimum.
Interactive software tools for teaching signal processing
Pacas, Ondrej ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Mangová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with creation of four interactive applications for educational purposes in the field of digital signal processing. The goal of this work is to create four applications which will visually interpretate each of the methods of signal processing. This involves applications for linear regression and least squares method, interpolation and signal reconstruction from its samples, discrete linear convolution and discrete cross-correlation. Applications are created using JavaScript programming language.
Interactive software tools for teaching signal and image processing
Had, Pavel ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Mangová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of interactive applets for educational purposes. There are four applets: linear image combinations, least squares method and linear regression, discrete linear convolution in 2D, and interpolation in 1D. Each part of this thesis consists of a theoretical analysis of a given problem and its implementation in JavaScript. Specific applets then illustrate the problem so that it can be easily understood.
Fixed-odds betting and real odds
Vojtík, Jakub ; Lachout, Petr (advisor) ; Večeř, Jan (referee)
The fixed-odds betting is currently very popular. Bookmakers set the odds on sport events, which represent an amount possible to win per each unit bet. The aim of this thesis is to study whether the odds can reflect the probabilities of the outcomes of sport matches, based on which then try to tell if the same can go for the bettors and their bets. First, there are derived several models for setting the odds. Then there is constructed a hypothesis test to test a validity of one of these models. This cannot be rejected, thanks to which there is estimated the dependence of the real probabilities on the odds. It turns out that with the exception of probabilities close to 0 and 1 the estimation might work. The conclusion of the thesis is the statement that odds could a be a good indicator of the probabilities and in such case also the bets of the bettors would correspond to them. 1
