Contactless measurement of surface temperatures in mechanical engineering

This diploma thesis is focused on the theory of contactless measurement of surface temperatures with thermovision camera Flir SC2000 and on the principles of imaging the camera is based on. The tablets and the applications making work with camera easier are processed in the Visual Basic in practical part. The stand for fine taking emissivity is compiled and described, and emissivity of different materials and different milling cutters is taken in this diploma thesis.

Contactless measuring of surface temperature integration in the other measurement methods and their assimilation at evaluation of surface temperature of a semi-finished product bored by various tools is the target of the work. An impassable opening is being bored by these tools. The opening is close to a scanned wall. The semi-finished wall temperatures are being scanned by thermocamera and subsequently compared for every single used tool in this experiment.
Application of IR imaginery in electrical engineering

This work deals with contactless measurement of a temperature, its principles and types. Above all, it is aimed mainly on thermovision. Infrared camera SH-68 / HY-6800 is presented and its functions are described. Brief instruction manual together with important information on a measurement is also presented. An example of a simple measurement, which is itemized to several steps, is worked up in the framework of the project. The last part of the project is devoted to the thermovision applications in a general practice. Temperature rise of a part of high voltage diconnector was measured by IR camera and compared to the contact method of the temperature measurement.

The main objective of the master’s thesis is elaboration of energy audit within the theme of energy rating of buildings. Work consists of the beginning to the given theme including the actual legislative regulations. Another part is elaboration of the energy audit of building municipality with design and rating the measures of reduction of energy consumptions. In experimental part work deals with evaluation of building thermal envelope with use of thermograph measurement, also with quality of indoor environment within the use of building by measurement of concentration of CO2 and with heat and humidity balance.

Fuel injection is a means of metering fuel into an internal combustion engine. In modern automotive applications, fuel metering is one of several functions performed by an "engine management system". A fuel injection system is designed and calibrated specifically for the type(s) of fuel it will handle: gasoline (petrol), Autogas LPG (also known as propane), ethanol, methanol, methane (natural gas), hydrogen or diesel. The majority of fuel injection systems are for gasoline or diesel applications. With the advent of electronic fuel injection, the diesel and gasoline hardware has become quite similar. During the last twenty years a preparation of a fuel mixture and the way of ignition in engine segment have changed the most. Instead of a carburettor it is being used the unit, which prepare fuel mixture according to a status of a car on the road e.g. change of pressure, temperature or ratio of a fuel and air.

This thesis contains an overview of physical principles concerning thermography and infra-red sensing, and a specification of a measuring instrument in a measurement system. Next, there are some particular examples of IR sensing applications. In the second part there is a thermal camera market research including individual manufacturers and models with their attributes and prices. There is a closer view of the thermal camera used for this thesis (Guide EasIR-4). In the end of the thesis there are some drafts of computer vision subject tasks (or practices), including workplace designs and solutions, and three task suggestions for bachelor or diploma theses including solution verifications.
Utilization of infrared camera for temperature measurement of electrical machines

The master‘s thesis deals with utilization of infrared camera for temperature measurement of electrical machines. The first part describes non-contact temperature measuring, the second part describes principle of sensors that evaluate quantity of incident infrared radiation. In the next part there is termovision camera SAT-HY 6800 presented and the instructional manual for SAT Report computer programme created. This computer programme is used for analyzing of termovision pictures from the SAT-HY 6800 termovison camera. The chapter 7 describes temperature measuring of one-phase asynchronous motor type J22TO484. The chapter 8 describes temperature measuring of semiconductor components of EC motor G6 series. Both of these motors are produced by ATAS elektromotory Náchod a.s. The last part of the thesis describes creation of animation of one-phase asynchronous motor type J22TO455. The animation was created in 3ds Max computer programme.

Main topic of this research is possibility of use the infra-red radiation of materials for purpose of machine diagnosis in agricultur machinery. Non-contact method of temperature monitoring is possible with special camera called infravision camera. With this device is possible to scan surface temperature of monitored object. Output of this scan is called thermogram. For users are values of scan then shown in false colors that are corresponding with a surface temperature of an object. In agricultur machinery the use is where the prerequisite for high increasing friction is converted into heat. Abnormal increase in the operating temperature can then be attributed to different severity of value and used as an indicator of the degree of wear for a possible future state of failures. The result of this research is a summary description of the factors that influence its impact on technical parameters of machine parts. The principles for the proper capture of thermal images, so-called thermograms, and procedures appropriate for their evaluation are described to. Theoretical assumptions are practically tested for the use at normal operating diagnostics of machines and their components.

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is the creation of an application for calculation of heat loss of a family house. It focuses on designing of an algorithm for the calculation of heat loss based on the analysis of the structural and technical condition of the specific building using the valid norms and by measuring that wants to reveal the heat loss of the family house. The results are compared with the results of the applications accessible on the internet and with the results of the control measuring realized on the real building. The leaks of heat loss were confirmed by measuring with thermal camera.
