Power - plant
Studený, Jan ; Severa, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The "POWER - PLANT" deals with the rehabilitation of the former Central Power Conversion and Dale Schoeller (Nejedly I and III) in the village Libušín Mine. Will be newly designed for building the power plant technology with progressive fluidized bed boiler to biomass steam turbine with an output of 7 MW and absorption (trigeneration) unit producing heat, cooling and electricity, which also will function as a cooler primary circuits. The source of water for the power plant will not only former mining pit Nejedlý I which is currently flooded drinking water at about 12 ° C. This system uses high efficiency embedded fuel (biomass), which is ultimately required less. A greater proportion of electricity generated and part of the heat will be distributed to the public network. In most areas will be proposed publicly accessible greenhouses of steel-aluminum construction filled ETFE foil forming the heat insulating membrane filled with air. The reason is to create conditions for the cultivation of tropical and subtropical plants. Greenhouses will be connected to the absorption unit power (underground meanders through which water will circulate), the ventilation shaft mine and mine water - therefore it will be possible to manage the conditions of the internal environment of the building without the influence of the season and especially without mounting other technological devices. It will provide for cooperation with the absorption unit for cooling the primary circuit - therefore eliminating the need for cooling towers or fans. The project will build a detached departments of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Prague - Institute of progressive technologies and systems for energy and the Faculty of Agronomy and Natural Resources CULS. The reason is to allow students and scientists actively and in practice mainly participate in the operation and especially the development of the issue. The public in the area besides themselves open to the greenhouses indoor and outdoor thermal swimming. Part of the entrance hall is a bistro and foremost lecture hall. The aim is decentralized botanical-energy complex of buildings that produce electricity, heat, cooling, and biomass, and creating recreational, educational and research conditions.
Materials for IV. generation power plants
Hovorka, Martin ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe material needs of chosen Generation IV nuclear reactors – VHTR, SCWR, and MSR with the emphasis on the VHTR. It describes the main principle and a constructional arrangement of VHTR components with its material demands. SCWR and MSR reactors are described in terms of its material requirements. The middle part of this thesis is dedicated to the available material candidate analysis. Main material properties are discussed and at the end of this part the suitability of chosen materials for a flange joint in VHTR heat exchanger is assessed. The last chapter (the practical part) is focused on an experimental proposal of changeability of older materials by the new ones using the electron beam welding method.
Super-heated steam cycles
Uherek, Jan ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor´s thesis is to present new, highly efficient thermal cycles used in power plants, and to compare them with classical cycles. First, the impact of these cycles on the efficiency of electricity production is examined. The following section describes power plants where the supercritical technology has been successfully installed. The last section explains the calculation of the heat transfer surface. The conclusion of this thesis attempts to outline the future of energetics from the author´s point of view.
Gas - steam cycle
Tóth, Richard ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis „Gas-steam cycle“ explains the cycle from technical point and then its application in economic terms. At the beginning is explaind how gas turbine work and its application in Czech republic and World. In practical part are for real Gas-steam cycle Power Plant in simplified way calculated basic parameters and efficiency in full operation and operating only with gas turbines. The end contains a design of Heat recovery steam generator.
Small hydro-power plant
Jedlička, Rostislav ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
Rostislav Jedlička: Small hydro power plant. Bachalor's work of bachalor's studies of 3th year. School year 200/2008, educational gruoup 3P/12. FSI VUT in Brno, institute of energy, department of energy and proces equipment, December 2007. This project, which has been elaborated in frame ofbachaleor's studies department of energy and proces equipment is submitting the desing of Small hydro power plant. Contains of this work is recherche small hydro power plants, count existing SHP, optimalization and evaluation of operation.
Adaptation of the Watermill
Pavlík, Jan ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is composed of two parts. In the first part, there is a generally discourse about small water power plants, their structural design, mechanical equipment and economical efficiency and its function is to create the basic conception of the waterwork. The second one deals concretely with the small water power plant in Crhov, that was rebuilt from the original mill by Mr. Petr König in 1990s.
Development of different types of fly ash autoclaved aerated concrete
Bednárik, Vít ; Kulísek,, Karel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the current technologies of production and raw materials used in the production of fly ash autoclaved aerated concrete. The choice of suitable materials is an important prerequisite for achieving the desired properties of the finished product. Fly ash autoclaved aerated concrete has become one of the options, how to use fly ash, produced as a secondary raw material in the combustion of coal in heating power plants. This work deals with the comparison the physico - chemical properties of the fly ash in the Czech Republic and the subsequent optimization of the composition of the raw mix for the production of fly ash autoclaved aerated concrete with the maximum use of alternative raw materials.
Evaluation of a Photovoltaic Power Plant
Hrubjáková, Martina ; Krause, Josef (advisor) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee)
The aim of this master's thesis is the evaluation of a company, of which the purpose of its existence is the development and running of a photovoltaic power plant. The estimated value refers to December 31st, 2011 and is determined for the purpose of potential sale of the company. The thesis consists of theoretical part, which includes determination of basic terms and concept of the evaluation process, and the practical application of theoretical knowledge on the specific company. A brief presentation of the company is followed by the strategic analysis, which identifies the most important opportunities and threats for the company in the future. Together with a review of previous company's financial results it represents the initial point for the preparation of a financial plan. The final part of the thesis includes the evaluation of the company in two versions. The first one is based on the assumption of termination company's activity after a specific period. The second one is based on the going-concern principle. The statement about the value of the company is supplemented by the valuation of the investment project.
Obchodní plán: Výstavba a provoz elektrárny na biomasu
Doležal, Tomáš ; Lukeš, Martin (advisor) ; Žádník, Josef (referee)
The goals of this thesis are to create a comprehensive business plan manual from various business plan frameworks and to clarify project documentation necessary for the commencement of the biomass power plant. The theoretical part serves to the reader as a manual, how to write a business plan. In each section the thesis lists necessary questions to be answered, the theory and the recommendations what to include in the business plan. The practical part represents a complete business plan of the development and op-eration of the biomass power plant with focus on the political analysis, key resources and financial analysis. In the end of the thesis the investment decision criteria are pre-sented together with the risks analysis, providing a solid information base upon which a potential investor can decide, whether to invest into the project.
