Evaluation of cultivars tolerance of chosen vegetable assortment to fungal diseases
Maláková, Dana ; Koudela, Martin (advisor) ; Kristína, Kristína (referee)
The aim of this Diploma thesis was to assess the cultivar tolerance of a chosen assortment of butterhead lettuce, leaf lettuce, iceberg lettuce and cabbage to fungal pathogens (Bremia lactucae, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. conglutinans). The experiment was conducted in the laboratory conditions of the gardening department FAPPZ of the Czech University of Agriculture in growth chambers. The lettuce experiments were done in given conditions with the temperatures of 18 - 20 °C under the regime 12 hrs. of light and 12 hrs. of darkness. The cabbage experiments were conducted in given conditions under the regime 12 hrs. of light and 12 hrs. of darkness with the temperatures of 14 °C during the day and 12 °C in the night. The lettuce plants were planted in dishes on fine sand. All experiments had infected and control variants. After emergence, the experimental plants were inoculated with variants of the selected pathogen. The plants were observed in 2 - 3 day intervals throughout the whole experiment. The experiment was assessed using the modified standard method according to Pawelec et al. (2006). A modified method with a percentage scale was used to assess the lettuce experiments. Cabbage experiments were evaluated with a scale of points ranging from 0 to 9 according to the percentage of infection on the plants. The results of the methodology were determined using the program Statistica 12. In the experiments evaluating the variety tolerance of a chosen assortment leaf lettuce and iceberg lettuce to the pathogen Bremia lactucae Bl:31, a statistically significant difference in the sensitivity to this pathogen was established. The results show that the most resistant varieties are Tarzan, Stamir, Adinal a Verala. The greatest sensitivity to the pathogen Bl:31 has a variety "Dětenická Atrakce" then Traper and Nikolaj. Effect of seed treatment with hot water (HWT) to suppress pathogen B. lactucae was statistically significant in the varieties "Dětenická Atrakce" (10% decrease) and Dubáček (7% decrease) compared with untreated infectious variant with HWT. In the sensitivity evaluation of varieties and lines of white cabbage was a statistically significant difference in infecting of pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. Sp. conglutinans breed 1. The most significantly susceptible to the pathogen Foc was variety Pourovo late-season (degree of assault after inoculation was 6.52 points).

Child with Diabetes mellitus in Kindergarten
KALINOVSKÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with inclusion specialty of diabetic child to day-care centre. It is about the case study of the boy with diagnosis Diabetes mellitus of 1. type on insulin pump. The theoretical part is about illness Diabetes mellitus of 1. type, its symptoms, therapy and complications. The therapy way by insulin pump is described more in detail. The theoretical part contains the chapters regarding the psychological impacts to ill person and its family, the need to respect of the regime precautions and the legislative conditions of the sick child integration to the day-care centre. The practical part consists of a qualitative survey, which represents the boy's casuistry with diabetes. The practical part also includes an interview with the boy, his mother and a teacher at the day-care centre. Further the practical part consists of activities, which can help the pedagogues to incorporate a disadvantaged child such as this boy to the day-care group. From the findings it is clear that an insulation pump does not have any underlying influence on day to day activities in day-care centre however it makes it easier for the family and the unwell child.

Analýza výkrmu vybraných hybridů kuřat
JURNÁ, Martina
The experiment consisted of 78 production batches of broiler chicken out of which 52 production batches were hybrid chickens Cobb 500 and 26 production batches were Ross 308. During 13 production batches was used green lighting for the feeding regimen and during 65 batches was used white light. The broilers were slaughtered at the age of 32.96 days. The Ross 308 hybrid (2.13 kg) reached 0.09 kg higher live weight compared to hybrid Cobb 500 (2.04 kg). In the case of Ross 308 there was 0.03 kg lower feed consumption (1.66, resp. 1.69 kg) and 0.15% lower mortality (3.54, resp. 3.68%). The difference in the index of European Efficiency Factor was 23 points in favour of Ross 308 (376, resp. 353 points). The mean length of production batch with green lighting was 0.54 day shorter (32.51, resp. 33.05 days). The difference in live weight was very small in production batches with different lighting colour regimes (0.05 kg). The difference in feed consumption per 1 kg of weight gain was 0.06 kg in favour of broilers fattening while using green light. Mortality rate of broilers was 0.3% lower when fattening while using white light. The European Efficiency Factor was 9 points higher while fattening using green light. The correlation of live weight of broiler at slaughter with the age of breeding flock was r = 0.42, moderate, statistically highly significant.

Suková, Anna ; Halada, Jan (advisor) ; Prázová, Irena (referee)
Bachelor thesis "The Transformations of the Relation between a Reader and a Book in the Years 1990-2009" aims to describe and clarify the development of book reading in the Czech Republic from post-revolution years to the present days with an extension to the 80s. Mapping of this subject-matter is based on an analysis of a range of readers' surveys which addressed the relation between a reader and a book, reading habits, behavior on the book market, libraries, preferred literary genres and authors etc. This thesis covers all these aspects. It also deals with international researches of reading literacy among teenagers (PISA). In the beginning it offers several readers typologies in search of the most suitable definition of a reader. It treats the significance of the book for human society and explains the changes on the book market since the fall of the communist regime. Then it characterizes sociological research and its requirements as well as its possible limits and deficiencies. The most extensive chapter describes individual readers' surveys, from information about how they were carried out to their most important findings which are then put into context. To conclude the thesis compares essential data from these researches and their selected results. It also proposes key trends in reading and...

Nutrition of diabetics treated with the continual insulin pump
VALOVÁ, Barbora
My bachelor thesis focuses on nutrition of diabetic people with continuous insulin pump. The theoretical part describes diabetes mellitus as a disease. In this part I describe you treatment possibility and also I introduce you the way of eating. In my research there were involved ten respondents, who suffer from diabetes mellitus and all of them were treated with continuous diabetic pump. This research includes two parts. At first I want to findout and evaluate rating habits of diabetics who have insulin pump. And I will compare these results with recommendation of Diabetic Czech Society. To reach this, I used record dairy, where I follow these parameters: eaten food, measured blood glucose value and physical activity for 1 week. For second part of this research I use interview. I try to find out how patients, who live with continuous insulin pump evaluated their current rating habits. From analysed data it is clear that respondents have much less calorie intake than they really need. Despite the fact that most respondents have right food composition forms with recommendation of CDS. Amount of cholesterol in their diet do not exceed daily recommendation about 300 mg per day. On the other hand recommended daily dose offibres 30 grams and in our case respondents received half less. About 11 grams per day. The assessment of interviews shows that the diabetics are satisfied with continuous insulin pump. Thanks to this, they do not have to follow regular regime. They are also able to work in places where the regular regime is not possible. These results can be used as a study material for diabetic people who are treated with continuous insulin pump. Study material could be a leaflet in diabetic clinics.

Hlaváčová, M. ; Klem, Karel ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Trnka, Miroslav
The aim of this study was to assess the effect of high temperatures and soil water scarcity during anthesis on the above-ground biomass allocation of the two winter wheat varieties (Bohemia and Pannonia). The six growth chambers were used to simulate heat stress conditions within following gradient of temperature maxima: 26°C (control chamber), 29, 32, 35, 38 and 41°C. The relative humidity (RH) course and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) intensity were controlled via protocols. Additionally, drought stressed (Dry) and well-watered (Wet) treatments were established within each growth chamber. The plants were removed from the growth chambers after 14 days and they were left until a full maturity, exposed to ambient weather conditions. The spike productivities of the main spikes and harvest indices (HI) of the main spikes were evaluated for particular treatments within both winter wheat varieties after harvest.

Journalist's freedom of expression in the light of European convention on human rights and case law of European court of human rights
Lopour, Martin ; Balaš, Vladimír (referee) ; Hubálková, Eva (referee)
114 6. Summary "Freedom of expression constitutes one of the essential foundations of a democratic society and one of the basic conditions for its progress and for each individual's self-fulfilment."320 A journalist is a person who tests the above mentioned statement through his work almost every day. "Although journalists, or the media for that matter, are not mentioned in paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which is devoted to freedom of expression, a great deal of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights concerns journalists and the proper functioning of the mass media. Media professionals are typically the main beneficiaries of a liberal freedom of expression regime. When States decide to clamp down on freedom of expression the journalists are the first to be affected. In this body of case-law the Court has laid down several principles that apply in cases concerning journalists and the media."321 This thesis entitled Journalists' Freedom of Expression in the Light of European Convention on Human Rights322 and Case Law of European Court of Human Rights323 reacts on fact that this subject-matter has not been so far systematically analysed in Czech written literature. The intention of this paper was to fulfill the gap because it is undisputed that journalists'...

The influence of landscape management on biodiversity of small mammals - the model area of Lužnice fluvial plain.
KOMENDOVÁ, Barbora
The work is focused on the biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals at selected meadows with diverse water regime and management. The capture of small terrestrial mammals using live traps proceeded during three periods from June to October for three days at four sites in the Trebon region, where also some meteorological variables (temperature, humidity) had been measured throughout the vegetative season. The weight, age and sex of the captured individuals were recorded . Then the individuals were marked by ear tags and released. Two sites are located in Mokré Louky area near the town Trebon. The locality Mokré louky - not mowed, is not agriculturally exploited and is flooded regularly. The locality Mokré louky {--} mowed, which is nearby, is agriculturally maintained. The third locality is Církvičný meadows, which have a drainage system, are regularly fertilized, and mulched. Boundary pastures Jeţek is the last site. They are alternately grazed and mowed. Overall, 83 individuals of five species of small terrestrial mammals were captured Microtus arvalis, M. agrestis, Micromys minutus, Apodemus sylvaticus and Sorex araneus. 62 individuals of the total number were marked and released . The highest number of species and number of specimens was found out in the site Mokré louky mowed, fewer individuals and species were captured on the meadows Církvičný. Only one species (Microtus arvalis) was captured in the pasture Jeţek. The results of the first vegetative season show on raising biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals with higher soil moisture sites. The captures will proceed next year and the dependence of biodiversity on the measured meteorological variables will be monitored.

Grounwater regime of the Cheb Basin
Walter, Dominik ; Datel, Josef (advisor) ; Hrkal, Zbyněk (referee)
This study summarizes some general findings of geological, hydrogeological, hydrological, structural and other conditions of the Cheb tertiary basin and descrides how these conditions are connected with circulation of graoundwaters and with appearance of mineral waters of different chemical composition and appearance of discharge of dry CO2. The final chapter shows information of changes of groundwater level at specific locations and periods of time by analyzing data gathered from borehole monitoring site of Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. Measuring of groundwater level was taken every day or every week, also average data of every month were taken. These data show variant changes of groundwater level which can be associated with definite events and this study shows if it is possible to associate some changes of groundwater level with exact events.
