Specifics of international road freight transport in specific area
Térová, Lucie ; Novák, Radek (advisor) ; Medveď, Jan (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to analyse the German Act on the Regulation of a Minimum Wage, which affects Czech hauliers operating in Germany. First of all, macroeconomic and microeconomic issues in the field of road transport and of course the specifics of German Act (MILOG) are described. Secondly, the main effects of the law on business are analysed in case of the Czech haulier ¨Dítě Spedition s.r.o.¨ In the following, an increase in operating costs of the company according to the MILOG is calculated. Moreover, there is a prediction of potential scenarios in case of confirmation of legality of MILOG applying to the international road freight transport. In conclusion, the main arguments why the act is contrary to the basic principles of the single European market are explained.

Minimalizační a půdoochranné technologie uplatněné při pěstování kukuřice na zrno
Adámek, Josef
This bachelor thesis compares the influence of various examples of soil tillage on the changes of soil properties and grain corn yield. It contrasts measuring results from a long-term experiment of grain corn monoculture. The thesis uses results from years 2012 to 2014. The field experiment was carried out in a grain corn production area on brown medium heavy soil. There were three alternatives of soil tillage compared -- convention tillage, minimum tillage and no-till. During the observed time from 2012 to 2014, the highest average yield was achieved in the alternative with convention tillage. The highest average grain corn yield was reached in 2013 with convention tillage (10,2 t.ha-1), the lowest in 2014 with no-till (4,99 t.ha-1). The comparison of the influence of various examples of soil tillage on the soil properties showed values which refer to the problem of soil compaction. This finding was proved also by soil research with the help of penetrometer measuring. Critical values of soil compaction were detected in the depth of 0,10-0,30 m in the no-till alternative. This compaction results in the decrease of minimal air capacity under 10 %. Excessive soil compaction was also detected in the depth of 0,20-0,30 m in the minimum tillage alternative. Negative compaction was not proved in the convention tillage alternative. From the observation results and experience gained from practice it is possible to recommend minimum tillage as the most optimal alternative for grain corn production in this area. The use of minimization is optimal for grain corn growth and evolution and in comparison with convention tillage it is more soil-friendly, more efficient with regard to the use of labour force and more profitable.

Determinants of Foreign Language Learning
Jílková, Jana ; Prokop, Jiří (advisor) ; Betáková, Lucie (referee) ; Smetáček, Vladimír (referee)
The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to analyse chosen factors involved in foreign language acquisition, compare three types of assessment strategies of foreign language knowledge and skills to look for correlations between students' outcomes, their school and out-of-school background and time factors. In this mixed research study the data collected from documents, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were analysed. State language examination candidates and upper- secondary students who were to take the new state school-leaving examination are involved in the study. The results show statistically significant relationship between the formal assessment by the teachers, through standardised examinations and by self-evaluation and factors as age when the learners started the foreign language learning, learning materials used and teachers' background. These findings may be used to provide feedback for strategic changes in study achievements to students, teachers and examiners.

Reaction of EU countries to the debt crisis

The comparison of nursing care for clients with MRSA at the ICU and standard unit
AMBROŽOVÁ, Martina
This thesis deals with one of the most important multidrug-resistant infection ?MRSA. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a nosocomial pathogen that has the ability to spread very fast. Infections caused by MRSA are always associated with high mortality. An antibiotic resistance is a reason for twice increased morbidity, it prolongs hospitalization of patients, thus significantly increases the costs of health care (European Antibiotic Awareness Day, 2012). The costs spent for the prevention of multidrug-resistant infections represents less than 20% of the cost needed to treat patients suffering this infection. Among the risk factors associated with the emergence of MRSA infection or its carriage include a long stay in the hospital, especially the ICN, invasive procedures, antibiotic treatment, diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure associated with dialysis, and skin disease. There is a usual transfer by hands of nursing staff, but the transfer via the air can not be excluded (Maďar et al., 2006).There were set four objectives for the study. The first goal was to determine whether there are differences in the principles of barrier nursing care for patients with MRSA in hygiene, eating, emptying and the re-bandaging at intensive care units (?ARO? and ?JIP? departments) and standard units. The second objective was to map the availability of protective equipment for staff in particular departments. The third goal was to find out differences in knowledge of the nursing staff on the issue of MRSA at various departments. The fourth objective was to determine how the various departments involve families of the patients with MRSA in the treatment process.Study conclusions show differences between particular intensive care departments. There is the best provision of barrier nursing care at the ICN ? ARO in all explored parts. The research found there is the possibility of isolating patients with MRSA on a separate stall or room in all departments. There were deficiencies in barrier nursing care related to ICN ? JIP and standard units. Than survey found out there are some standard units and ICN ? JIP, where there are used decolonization neither in health care and nor in re-bandaging of patients with MRSA. In the case of specific nutrition of a patient with MRSA there are not properly distinguished and disinfected used tools in these departments. Regarding the specifics of emptying of patient with MRSA there are usual mistakes made by respondents from ICN ? JIP and standard units in the procedure of handling infectious biological waste. A positive result is unlimited availability of protective equipment for particular departments. However, there are the standard units where the use of protective equipment involves gloves only. Startling finding is the washing of hands before entering the room and after leaving disinfectant respondents from ICN ? ARO only. The knowledge of respondents on the issue of MRSA were at a very good level except one respondent from the standard department. There is an effort to involve the family in the treatment process in all departments. According to all respondents there is a great irreplaceable importance of the family during hospitalization of the patient.

The influence of verbal presentation on musical perception
Esterle, Vojtěch ; Mrkvička, Luboš (advisor) ; Rataj, Michal (referee)
Various structures of contemporary music put high demands on the listeners. Often, a composition is based on the principles that could be barely recognizable by listening. This study examines whether the verbal presentation helps the listeners with perceiving of music. Three groups of twenty respondents had to listen three compositions with three different verbal presentations (imaginative title, structure title, neutral title, analysis). The captivation of the listeners was compared, the evaluation of fulfilment plan and other issues. The results showed that evocation of visual and dramatic ideas was independent to the verbal presentations. Evaluation of compositions also showed the independence on the type of title or on the analysis. However, it does not mean, that the verbal presentation does not influence the perception of music. Qualitative scale questions revealed, that the effect of the name and analysis on listening was very profound. The previous acoustic experience has a far greater influence on the acceptation of music.

Employment Policy in the Cohesion Region "Jihozápad"
VENUŠOVÁ, Alena
Bachelor thesis Employment policy of the EU in the cohesion region {\clqq}Jihozápad`` is divided into nine chapters. Two chapters depict the basic legal documents of the European Union and of the Czech Republic in employment policies and show institutional structures and instruments of the European Union, such as EPSCO - Council for Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Protection, EURES - European Employment Services, European Social Fund, or very specific employment strategies. The fourth and fifth chapters explain the characteristics of the cohesion region Jihozápad. I will show that the whole region has a fairly low unemployment rate for the Czech Republic. Other subchapters refer to projects financed from European funds and to the progress of the Lisbon Strategy at the regional level. The heart of the thesis is the sixth chapter. This is the practical section, where I submit a questionnaire and an analysis of newspaper and magazine articles on employment policy in the EU. A summary in French and a bilingual glossary are included.

French Chanson: Translation and Reception
Havrdová Fathi, Mai ; Šotolová, Jovanka (advisor) ; Belisová, Šárka (referee)
The topic of the present paper is the translation of the French chanson into Czech. The paper focuses on the analysis of eight lyrics from the repertoire of G. Brassens, J. Brel and E. Piaf (the translators are J. Dědeček, P. Kopta, M. Balejová and S. E. Brandejsová). The paper examines prevailing functional characteristics of the originals and the extent to which these have been maintained in the various Czech translations. Special attention is given to the relation between semantic accuracy and "successful" translations, meaning here translations which maintain the prevailing functional characteristics of the original. Preceding the analysis is the theoretical part of the paper in which we introduce some terms and theoretical models applied by theoreticians in the field of translation (J. Levý, K. Reiss, P. Low), insofar as these terms and models are relevant to the topic.
