Vycpálek, Martin ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Weiss, Gustav (referee)
This thesis deals with issues around the implementation of an AMM (Automated Meter Management) system within the Czech electricity distribution system. The theoretical section of the thesis provides a historical context and looks at the development of the electricity sector. The thesis then goes on to discuss issues regarding the competitiveness of distribution companies in terms of IT/ICT use. This section defines the elements of the Smart Grid concept, in particular the AMM system. The chapters dealing with the conditions for implementing the system in the Czech Republic and pilot projects abroad make up the major sources for the practical section. The goal of the practical section is to come up with a project aim for the AMM system implementation trial project in Prague. The proposed project aim is divided into a number of separate tasks whose results are obtained using a detailed analysis of available sources and the conclusions of the theoretical part of the thesis. The thesis's main benefit is in forming a basis for the AMM implementation trial project in PREdistribuce, Inc. distribution networks and providing a comprehensive overview of the development and current state of the electricity sector.

Knowledge of minor place-names in Rožmitál pod Třemšínem - current status
Drnovcová, Zlata ; Palkosková, Olga (referee) ; Janovec, Ladislav (advisor)
Minor place-names serve as a reliable and helpful source of identification without which it would be much more complicated to find one's way in the landscape. This master thesis focuses on the usage of toponyms in the city of Rožmitál pod Třemšínem. Their knowledge is not a matter of course for the locals. Some of the place names are no more current in communication, some of them still are, but only for some generations. This is influenced by the age, the length of living in the locality, the job and the interests of local people. The effectuated questionnaire survey enables to find out the dependence of the knowledge of the place names on the factors mentioned above. It is interesting to observe the motivation of the toponyms' formation, which is also analysed together with the criteria stated above. In such case, separate categories are determined according to which the dependence of the used toponyms on the interviewed person is analysed. The factors stated above and some additional ones have a significant impact on the existence of toponyms (their modification or disappearance).

Corintian order and its reflections in Prague post-medieval architecture

The reflection of the Hungarian post-war reality in the novels of Hungarian female authors
Kúnová, Barbara ; Kolmanová, Simona (advisor) ; Chmel, Rudolf (referee)
This thesis entitled "The reflection of the Hungarian post-war reality in the novels of Hungarian female authors" presents an analysis of the post-war Hungarian female novels in the light of the depiction of the actual social reality. Three main writers of this period have been chosen for further examination: Magda Szabó (1917-2007), Anna Jókai (born 1932) and Erzsébet Galgóczi (1930-1989). This work focuses mainly on their most significant pieces. At the same time, the thesis includes a study of the previous literary era and its impact on the period in question, especially their very immediate predecessor, writer Margit Kaffka (1880-1918). In this regard, a more detailed analyses of the literary work of Magda Szabó has been provided, since she is the writer whose production most notably continues the realistic tradition. In addition, it was necessary to define the topic by temporal aspect as well, as the specific circumstances of the communist dictatorship between the years 1949-1989 had crucially influenced the whole society including culture. The final part is dedicated to the issue of female literature and problematics of such a concept. The conclusion is rather ambiguos. The feminist theories and mainly the recent gender studies represent a very strong advocacy of a separate category of female...

Cyprus: the Crossroad between Europe and Asia
Smetáček, Martin ; Adamcová, Lenka (advisor) ; Němečková, Tereza (referee)
In my work I consider the cultural-political routing of Cyprus from its position between Europe and Asia with respect to its economical orientation. In the view of the fact that Cyprus was a profoundly developing country in the year 1960, when winning its independence from Great Britain, I focus mainly on its economic development after the year 1960 and the performance of the economy on the threshold of the 21st century, whereas I ask myself if Cyprus has already completed its transformation from a developing country into a socially and economically developed country with modern free market economy. The work briefly records the history of the country since its infancy in as early as 8th millennium BC up to the end of the 20th century AC, it further considers the economic development of Cyprus at the end of the 20th century, and finally it focuses on the current social-economic conditions in the country under the pattern of dividing economies between developing and developed countries. The work also regards the intercommunity rupture, which dominates Cyprus since 1974 and factually divides it in two parts: the Cyprus Republic and the internationally unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I accentuate exclusively the date regarding the Cyprus Republic.

For labor productivity and average passenger load per worker based on the maximum value for the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium.
