Diplomová práce se zabývá relativně novým přístupem k řízení skupiny projektů / programů jako jednoho portfolia, který má své kořeny v obecné Teorii portfolia, jedné ze základních disciplín finančního a investičního managementu. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce na téma Řízení portfolia projektů ICT: Teorie a aplikace v českém bankovním sektoru je v její první části poskytnout teoretickou bázi postihující nejdůležitější poznatky o problematice řízení portfolia projektů ICT se zaměřením na její operativní úroveň, v druhé části pak optimalizovat proces řízení (sub)portfolia projektů ICT na operativní úrovni v útvaru Business Intelligence - samostatné organizační jednotce ve společnosti Komerční banka, a.s. Přínosem práce je zpracování, na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze dosud nezpracovaného, mezinárodního standardu, který se této problematice podrobně věnuje. I zapracováním dalších odborných zdrojů se tak k rukám čtenáře dostává materiál pln nových, aktuálních a kvalitních informací o této problematice, které jsou kompatibilní s mezinárodními standardy. Kromě teorie je čtenář obohacen o praktickou ukázku aplikace portfolio managementu ve společnosti Komerční banka, a.s., jedné z nejvýznamnějších bankovních institucí v České republice. Přínos práce pro společnost Komerční banku, a.s., konkrétně pro útvar Business Intelligence, spočívá v identifikaci úzkých míst v procesu řízení (sub)portfolia projektů BI s návrhem jejich optimalizace. Kontraktor The Thesis deals with a relatively new approach to managing groups of projects / programs as a portfolio, which comes from the general Theory of portfolio. The main objective of this Diploma Thesis entitled ICT Project Portfolio Management: Theory and Application in the Czech banking sector is to provide a theoretical base of affecting the most important knowledge about the problems of portfolio management of ICT projects with a focus on the operational level. The second main objective of the Thesis is to design the optimal process management (sub) portfolio of ICT projects at the operational level in the Business Intelligence department -- the separate organizational unit in Komercni banka, a.s. This Thesis is beneficial to its readers for the processing of international standard entitled Portfolio Management. This standard has never been previously treated at the University of Economics in Prague. The Thesis is thanks to processing of other expert information sources full of new, timely and quality information about this theme that is compatible with international standards. In addition to the theory the reader is enriched by a practical demonstration of application portfolio management at Komercni banka, a.s., one of the leading banking institutions in the Czech Republic The contribution of the Thesis for Komercni banka, a.s., specifically for the Business Intelligence department, consists in the identification of constraints in the process (sub) portfolio management of BI projects with a proposal of their optimization.
