Actuality possibilities of electronic signature for natural persons
Pekárek, Miroslav ; Toman, Prokop (advisor) ; Šubrta, Václav (referee)
The purpose of this work is to summarize current knowledge of the electronic signature and to outline its basic principles and technologies in such a manner that would, at least, allow for its potential broadening of awareness in the public, at large. This work focuses not only on theoretical knowledge relating to the electronic signature, but also on possibilities of its acquisition along with eventual practical use in the Czech Republic, or respectively, on its obstacles. The goal of this work is to offer the citizen detailed information about the possibilities of acquiring such an electronic signature, and to make him/her aware of possible difficulties that may arise in conjunction with this process. At the same time, this work should help the average citizen, based on his/her personal requirements and preferences, to eventually decide which certification authority is for him/her most suitable, and whether or not there is any merit for him/her in acquiring such a signature.

Lebdušková, Helena ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Tonika, Jaroslav (referee)
The basic aim of the thesis is descritpion of oil accidents, which are these days the normal part of our lives. I deal with the issue of oil extraction as a base material for petrol, oil and other oil-based products. The current methods of production make these accidents impossible to avoid. The biggest problems come from using large tankers to transport the oil, other problems bring oil processing and waste production. This thesis focuses on the assessment of oil accidents and their effects on water quality, as well as on the whole ecosystem. Keywords Oil, oil accident, water pollution

Russia-Belarus Unification. Chosen Problems and perspectives of Union State (1999-2008)
Osipova, Kristina ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (advisor) ; Svoboda, Karel (referee)
Russo-Belarus Unification. Chosen Problems and perspectives of Union State (1999-2008). The main subject of the diploma thesis is cooperation between Russia and Belarus within the Union State of Russia and Belarus, which was established in 1999. After the break up of the USSR, cooperation between the newly independent states was largely defined by their membership in CIS. However, during the first five years an integration core emerged, consisting of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. These states were mainly cooperating in economic sphere, which finally emerged into international organization (Eurasian Economic Community). Belarus is one of the former Soviet republics, which kept and is still keeping very close relations with Russian Federation. Their bilateral integration begins after the breakup of USSR and culminates in 1999, when treaty of establishing Union State of Russia and Belarus is signed. During the almost 10 year period between 1999 and 2008, however, the cooperation did not move forward as was originally planned. In my opinion, the main topics which delay effective Russo-Belarus integration are as follows: prices for energetic commodities (oil and gas) for Belarus; implementation of common currency - Russian ruble; and ratification of Constitutional Act of Union State....

Figure of Josef Švejk
Krabsová, Veronika ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee) ; Peterka, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the main character of an unfinished four-part novel by Jaroslav Hašek, The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk During the World War. The protagonist of this work, Josef Švejk, is one of the most discussed issues in Czech literature. His character has stirred emotions since as early as the 1920's. The chapter "Classification of Interpretations" maps changes in Czech expert literary opinion regarding Josef Švejk (Švejk as a Sancho-Panza type, Švejk as a fairytale personality, Švejk as a storyteller and humorist, etc.). The longest part of the thesis is dedicated to the characteristics of the ambivalent hero: a physical characterization (it is interesting that Josef Švejk was never described in detail in the book; we mostly draw on illustrations by Josef Lada), a psychological characterization (readers have some misgivings about Josef Švejk; they don't know whether the figure is an idiot or a clever fellow) and a language (linguistic communication, diction and anecdotes describe Josef Švejk in large measure). This text also includes information about the genesis of protagonist Josef Švejk: The Good Soldier Švejk and Other Strange Stories - Josef Švejk before the World War; The Good Soldier Švejk in Captivity - Josef Švejk written during the War; The Fateful Adventures...

Distributed containers
Hraška, Adam ; Novotný, Miroslav (referee) ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor)
Distributed hash tables provide similar functionality to ordinary hash tables but they distribute stored data across a self-organized peer-to-peer network. In this thesis we explore the various challenges DHTs must face and we also examine the algorithms used to overcome them. We focus on key location algorithms as well as the data maintenance strategies. Furthermore, the thesis also includes a flexible and simple-to-use implementation of a DHT. The DHT is based on a set of algorithms which we believe provide good balance between performance and bandwidth usage. The implemented DHT may form the basis of a large-scale decentralized application. However, practical deployment of the DHT on hundreds of nodes and evaluation of the performance of the implemented DHT in such a deployment is outside the scope of this thesis.
