The Quality of Chinaware and the Amelioration Possibilities

The Bachelor's thesis focuses on one of the fields of the quality management. It introduces the readers to the basic tools of the quality management which are used to describe problems with the quality. The first part of the thesis focuses on the specification of the target of the production in the examined company, on description of the company itself and on the theory of the quality management tools. The second part of the thesis focuses on the application of these tools in the real practice.

Web support of conference holding (presentation, registration etc.)

This thesis deals with web support of conference holding and its main focus is to create an application which meets the requirements specified by the work co-ordinator and which supports certain processes in conference holding. In the first chapter you can find the brief history of World Wide Web and of conference holding systems. It covers different options using which these systems can ease and improve conference holding from both holder's and participant's perspective. The next three chapters provide a brief description of the application followed by a summary of used technologies and take a look at the functional side of the application. The user's guide of the application forms the most extensive part of the thesis. The last chapter provides a brief description of two existing systems for conference management -- one of which is free and the other commercial.

Indicators of the Quality of Nursing as Part of the Systems of the Quality Management in a Health Institution

One of the components influencing the evaluation of health care quality done by a patient is nurse care. This mainly depends on nurses themselves. This issue is addressed in the diploma thesis by Be Pavla Kárníková called "Indicators of the Quality of Nursing as part of the Systems of the Quality Management in a Health Institution". The aim of this thesis is to chart the scope of quality monitoring in health institutions situated in the Czech Republic. The knowledge of national indicators and standards has been examined as well as their influence on the overall quality of nurse care. The first part is theoretical and is dealing with historical developement of quality managent systems. Consequently, selected systems and their application in public health are observed. At the end of this part there is a brief characteristic and description of benefits concerning individual programmes. The following part is focused on the nursing quality and methods of its monitoring and evaluation. The important question is the choice of indicators and their placement into the procedure of quality assessment. AJAX technology

This paper's goal is to provide a complex description of the AJAX technology. The paper provides detailed technical description of the technology and its parts; names the technology's positives and negatives resulting from its usage and also addresses its most commonly used alternatives (hidden frames, Flash, Java, ASP, NET, XUL, XAML). Further on, the paper addresses interesting JavaScript frameworks facilitating application development (Prototype, script.aculo.us, dojo, qooxdoo, YUI) or compatibility of the most commonly used browsers (DOM, CSS, ECMAScript). The paper's conclusion is dedicated to security of applications based on JavaScript, their optimalization and performance. Several recommendations for optimizing the JavaScript are tested on the most commonly used browsers and a wide selection of browsers - both Windows and Linux based - is subject to complex performance tests.

The Principle of Concentration in Civil Proceedings

The principle of concentration as one of the fundamental branch principles of civil proceedings consists in the obligation of the parties to perform certain procedural actions in specific stages of adversarial proceedings in order to speed up the proceedings and the decision of the court. Its purpose is to avoid delays in proceedings and provide effective judicial protection of subjective private rights of the parties. This principle plays an important role in Czech civil law. At the same time, some elements of the statutory concentration, which apply in the Czech legal system, are connected with certain problematic aspects. These particularly include rigidity of statutory concentration associated with the absence of the possibility of court's flexible actions and the anchor of fictitious judgment by acknowledgement as a consequence of the defendant's procedural passivity. The main goal set out by the author of this piece of work is to introduce individual elements of concentration in the Czech law, analyze their shortcomings, and propose some possible solutions through comparison with the Slovak adjustment mechanism of concentration. Analysis of impact of new software distribution models on company IS/ICT management

Diplomová práce se zabývá modelem distribuce aplikační funkcionality formou služeb (SaaS ? Software as a Service), transformací trhu s IT dle tohoto modelu a dopadem těchto změn do sféry řízení podnikové informatiky. Cílem práce je co nejlépe anticipovat dopad transformace IT průmyslu právě do oblasti služeb a na základě výsledků této prognózy odvodit nejvýznamnější změny, kterými projde jak samotná podniková informatika, tak způsob jejího řízení. Popis transformace IT průmyslu je možný na základě identifikace nejzávažnějších současných problémů tohoto průmyslu a popisu těch současných trendů, které k této transformaci směřují. Změny podnikové informatiky a jejího řízení jsou popisovány na základě vývoje od doby vzniku moderních podnikových informačních systémů (tj. počátek 90. let 20. století), s tím, že je kladen důraz na ty nejzávažnější problémy integrace IT do struktury podniku a nejvýznamnější metody, které se na řešení těchto problémů uplatňovaly či uplatňují. Velký důraz je v práci kladen na korporátní důsledky těchto změn, takže každý významný diskutovaný aspekt je zkoumán mimo jiné z pohledu jeho vstřebávání trhem či samotnou organizací, a to především z hlediska porovnávání nákladů a přínosů. Přínos práce spočívá především v analýze dopadů změn trhu s IT na subjekty na trhu působící, tedy jak na nabízející tak na poptávající. Z hlediska strany nabídky jde především o sekce věnující se vzájemným vztahům mezi poskytovateli aplikačních služeb (sdružování do tzv. SaaS platforem) a také nástupu celého modelu (viz např. tabulka 4.2 na str. 41). Z hlediska poptávajících na IT trhu, tedy z hlediska řízení podnikové informatiky, je přidaná hodnota práce především v těch částech, které se věnují možnému navázání SaaS aplikací na model řízení IT služeb, a dále např. integraci SaaS aplikací z hlediska uživatele (část 6.4.6). První tři kapitoly práce se zabývají úvodem do celého konceptu poskytování aplikační funkcionality formou služeb, současnému IT průmyslu a jeho problémům a také pravděpodobnému vývoji celého tohoto nového segmentu. Další kapitoly obsahují nejprve charakteristiku současného řízení podnikové informatiky a také aplikaci výše zjištěných poznatků o SaaS modelu na podnikovou informatiku. Poslední kapitola je orientována praktičtěji a obsahuje zjednodušený popis metody definice IT služeb v podniku a tvorby katalogu služeb.

International double taxation of individuals

The aim of this thesis on the topic of the International double taxation of individuals is to offer particular point of view on this issue to the reader and make him acquainted with some current problems related to international taxation of income. The first chapter is focused on czech income tax, especially on taxation of individuals with its goal to define basic terms. Next chapter is concentrated on term double taxation and describes main reasons for its existence. Concurrently are described unilateral and international measures to eliminate double taxation of income and also methods for elimination of double taxation. Afterwards this thesis attends to bilateral international tax conventions and its evolution and interpretation. Considering the fact that majority of all concluded tax conventions are inspired by OECD model tax convention, the third chapter of this thesis is focused on the importance of the OECD model and its commentary for interpretation and application of bilateral international tax conventions. The last and main part of this thesis analyses several sorts of income in the same manner as they are categorized in OECD model tax convention. The Case of Memetics

This bachelor thesis focuses on the controversial topic of memetics. Memetics is rather new science which links sociology, biology and psychology together. The central aim of memetics is to explain the cultural transfer, using the Darwinian concepts of evolution. The thesis is divided into three chapters. Each chapter deals with the different perspective of the memetic theory. The first chapter describes the theory itself and foundations of the theory, the second chapter describes problematic issues within the theory and finally, the third part describes the status of memetics on the scientific field. Změny obchodních modelů v souvislosti s aplikacemi mobilního obchodování

Práce vznikla jako reakce na masivní rozvoj mobilních technologií, přičemž většina podniků přistupuje k implementaci živelně, bez potřebné analýzy současného prostředí a bez realizace komplexních změn v jejich podnikání tak, aby využily všech výhod mobilního prostředí. Cílem práce je analyzovat možnosti podniků při aplikaci mobilního obchodování do jejich systémů a procesů. Práce ukazuje jak komplexně řešit změny v přístupu podniku, v jeho obchodních modelech, ve vztahu k projektům, procesům i zákazníkům tak, aby podniky maximálně využily potenciálu mobilního podnikání. Zároveň si klade za cíl být návodem pro implementaci mobilních řešení v podniku tak, aby podnik maximalizoval užitek ze zavedení mobilních řešení a zároveň tato řešení vycházela ze současného stavu a z potřeb podniku. Práce se zde soustřeďuje hlavně na změny procesů, metrik, personální politiky a architektury informačních systémů a poukazuje na faktory úspěšnosti mobilních projektů. Cílem práce je zároveň vyplnit mezeru v odborné literatuře, kdy ve většině prací chybí propojení technologického pohledu na obchodního, tedy mobilních technologií se zaměřením na jejich komerční využití v praxi a budoucí rozvoj těchto technologií opět s ohledem na jejich obchodní využití. Mezi další cíle patří vymezení terminologie mobilního podnikání a analýza silných a slabých stránek jednotlivých technologií pro jejich využití. Práce je členěna do tří logických částí, do části definiční, analytické a aplikační. V části definiční se na základě odborné literatury vymezuje předmět řešení a definují základní pojmy oblasti mobilního podnikání. Část závěrů a definic vznikla vlastním odvozením na základě dostupných teoretických zdrojů obchodních modelů, mobilního podnikání, či teorií internetového podnikání z univerzit v ČR, Evropě (zejména v Německu a Švýcarsku) i USA. Analytická část ukazuje současný stav mobilních technologií a zároveň i analýzu možností těchto technologií. Základem a přínosem je zde právě analýza těchto technologí a jejich vztah k jednotlivým obchodním modelům, jsou zde také hodnoceny i jednotlivé modely a jejich připravenost na mobilní obchodování. Součástí aplikační části je vlastní návrh konkrétních změn v podniku u jednotlivých obchodních modelů a to nikoliv pouze změn technologických, ale jejich integrace se změnami procesními, personálními a změnami metrik tak, aby se úspěšně implementovaly všechny výhody mobilního podnikání. Jádrem práce jsou tedy návrhy holistických změn v podniku. Tyto změny vychází z mých návrhů, které byly následně modifikovány pří práci ve fokusních skupinách projektových manažerů mobilních řešení, část (hlavně komplexní řešení změn) vychází z vlastních výzkumů a zkušeností, které byly následně prověřeny implementací v praxi v českých i mezinárodních podnicích. Celá tato doporučení jsou zasazena i do kontextu právního rámce a jsou zde zohledněny i významy pro jednotlivé faktory úspěšnosti imlplementace mobilních řešení u každého z obchodních modelů. Tyto faktory vycházejí z analýzy fokusních skupin a dotazování oborníků z praxe. Práce by tedy měla hlavně sloužit jako metodický podklad pro změnu v jednotlivých obchodních modelech podnikání a zároveň sloužit jako teoretický základ pro oblast mobilního podnikání a to zejména doplněním odborné literatury o chybějící témata.
