Complying of basic SEO principles and methods has belonged to main pillars of on-line propagation for several years. These days the biggest competition takes place in the sphere of off-page factors - mainly the quality and amount of backlinks is important. The purpose of this work is to suggest methodology of basic analysis of link profile. With this mothodology one can explore what links lead to a page, their amount, characteristics and their quality. This methodology can be used to analyse the competitors SEO activities. To introduce the problem, the teoretical part of work is dedicated to SEO, linkbuilding methods and the links characteristics and link profiles. Practical part describes the most used tools od link profile analysis, work with Majestic SEO tool and suggestion of methodology of link profile analysis. The methodology is demonstrated on two websites.
Problems with seraching information on the internet

This thesis is about problems concerning searching information on the internet with which ordinary users can come together. The goal is to explain to readers different parts of searching like history, other choices of searching, making queries using operators or the problems with searching itself especially from the view of ordinary user. The aim is also to find out how in fact ordinary user searches and to determine the most common problems that he faces. First part describes basic concepts and historical facts concerning searching on the internet itself. Following chapter contains description of chosen search engines, their ser-vices and help for improving searching skills of the users. Furthermore the thesis includes description of different possibilities of searching like searching in maps, pictures, books and videos. Following chapters deal with usable operators and problems with the searching itself from the view of ordinary user. After that follows an evaluation of the questionnaire survey thanks to which it was possible to compare described problems with real ones and to propose recommendations from this survey in the conclusion.
Invisible Web - What Search Engines Can´t Find

Search engines such as Alta Vista, Google, etc. are mostly used tools for the Internet searching. The problem is that they are able to index just a smaller part of the web content. The rest, concerning of content-rich and valuable databases, is not possible to find this way. The presentation is oriented on those cases where is not appropriate to use general search engines and it is also giving solution how to reach this vast information resources. Invisible web and mainly its mapping and describing is a next challenge for information professionals.

Diploma thesis 'On-line marketing - Principle of an auction changes the world of advertising' is about internet as a medium, on-line commercial communications, search engines and performance marketing. This thesis is divided into three parts. First part is about internet as a medium and actual situation on the Czech internet market. Second part describes a marketing communication mix on the internet, forms of online advertisement and pros and cons of online advertising. Third part deals with an advertisement within the frame of search engines. This part is also about PPC systems and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). Contribution of this thesis lies in info how to use the internet for propagation.
Strenght and influence of search engines

The main goal of this thesis is to describe search engines, evaluate their influence on the microeconomic market, society and estimate their future development. In the first chapter the thesis aims for a better understanding of search engines. Described is the history of search engines, the way they function and a brief analysis of the Czech and American search engine market. The second chapter describes the search engine's powerful position and its influence on the microeconomic market. Mentioned are methods of how a firm can affect its position on the internet market. Furthermore the influence of search engines on users is described including examples and studies. The last chapter of the thesis concentrates on the future development of search engines. The purpose of this thesis is to give the reader objective information about search engines, which will help the reader understand the search engine's position and significance at present time in the world. Hopefully it will help the reader better understand to what measure search engines affect the market, decision-making and behaviour of internet users.

The main aim of this work is to describe web development from marketing point of view. Less space for technological part has given the author the opportunity to focus more on the business point of view. The goal of the work is to describe how to create user-friendly web that would be appreciated by people and where they would come back to. Successful web is not based on secret technological tricks but on continuous and creative work. This thesis is based on many years of experience with webs of clients whom author has helped with the internet marketing. For example: company Internet Mall, one of the biggest internet merchants in the Czech Republic, could be named. The thesis is structured into three main parts. Firstly, preparatory work and building of the web is described. Secondly, promotion of the web, gaining users and motivating them to return is discussed. Lastly, search engine Morfeo is analyzed and it is used as an example of how search engines generally work and how do they sort pages.

Cílem této práce je navrhnout případné úpravy v propagaci firmy Mlékárna Olešnice, RMD na internetu. Nejprve se tato bakalářská práce zabývá standardními způsoby propagace firem na internetu. Popisuje praktiky marketingu zaměřeného na vyhledávače (tzv. SEM ? Search Engine Marketing), tedy optimalizace stránek pro vyhledávače (SEO ? Search Engine Optimization) a kampaně ?Plať za proklik? (PPC ? Pay per click). Obě metody jsou vysvětleny a doplněny o další aspekt SEM ? sledování efektivity. Všechny tyto části jsou prakticky popsány na internetové propagaci firmy Mlékárna Olešnice, RMD.
