The global cocoa market

This bachelor thesis deals with the global cocoa market. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the global cocoa market and indentify the future prospects of this market. The first chapter deals with the general charakteristics of this commodity, i.e. the history of cocoa growing, types of cocoa, cocoa cultivation and cocoa producing areas, and it is processed by using the methods of synthesis and comparison. Another chapter is the analysis of the global cocoa market, which presents the greatest exporting and importing countries, the developement of cocoa price, cocoa processing and chocolate industry. The third part presents the forms of cocoa trading, i.e. cocoa trading on exchanges and the alternative form fair trade. This part also presents the International Cocoa Organization and International Cococa Initiative. The last chapter focuses on the evaluation and perspectives of the global cocoa market in the future by using the method of compilation. The contribution of this thesis is the determination of the cocoa price and possible solution to the growing demand for cocoa in the future.
Návrh modelu Balanced Scorecard jako nástroje pro řízení výkonnosti podniku

This master thesis deals with creating a concept of performance evaluation model in scope of Balanced Scorecard methodology for selected business unit. In theoretical part of this thesis are described basic principles of this method, including its perspectives and general rules of the implementation process. In practical part was performed a strategic analysis of business unit. On its basis is compiled business strategy for selected time period and also specific key performance indicators for evaluation of reaching strategic goals.
Návrh implementace modelu Balanced Scorecard ve společnosti Kordárna Plus a.s., Velká nad Veličkou

This thesis deals with issues related to the proposal of the Balanced Scorecard model implementation at company Kordárna Plus a.s. On the basis of data obtained from the company, the practical part deals with strategic and financial analyses. Strategic targets from these analyses are deduced of the perspectives. Measures with values of 2015 are assigned to the strategic targets. A determination of the strategic initiative leads to accomplishing the strategic targets. The final part of the thesis deals with a time schedule of the basic framework of the Balanced Scorecard. The thesis deals also the calculation of the costs caused by the implementation of the strategic initiative and placement of the model of Balanced Scorecard at company Kordárna Plus a.s.
Řízení výkonnosti výrobního podniku pomocí metody Balanced Scorecard

MASTER thesis is focused on the evaluation of performance business entity through a balanced system of indicators. Its aim is to establish a basic framework Balanced Scorecard method and design for its implementation in the strategic management of the company. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of the definition of Balanced Scorecard method, including a description of the individual perspectives, implementation procedures and possible barriers to implementation. The practical part contain an evaluation of the current state of the business and propose a strategy for manufacturing business entity, that forms the basis for the design of implementation of Balanced Scorecard method through strategic actions. The work also includes strategic analysis and marketing research in the form of a questionnaire survey. Finally, the proposed timetable for the implementation of BSC, including calculation of cost effectiveness of individual strategic actions
The position of Indonesia in ASEAN

In the last decade, Indonesia has witnessed profound social, political and economic transformations that have transformed it from an authoritarian regime to one of the most liberal countries of the Muslim world. Currently represents the fastest growing economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) which the impressive growth rate significantly strengthened its position on the international markets. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesia, to assess the degree of its integration within ASEAN and the world and outline the perspectives of economic growth in the future. The bachelor thesis is divided into two broad chapters that provide a comprehensive picture of the current Indonesian economy and its foreign trade partners as well as its existing integration processes.
Franchising jako metoda internacionalizace podnikatelských aktivit

The aim of this work is to evaluate franchising as a form of internationalization of business activities of small and medium enterprises and its effectiveness. Then define market sectors in which this method can be applied and analyze current situation of franchising on Czech and world markets. The work also focuses on idle segments of the Czech market. In conclusion, I would like to determine whether franchising may have strong development prospects in the Czech Republic and the world in future.
Prospects of organic farming in the EU with a focus on the Czech Republic

The stimulus for the development of organic farming in Europe came in 1924, but the important period for the development were 1970's. The beginning of organic farming in the Czech Republic can be considered as year 1988. Since the beginning of 1990's there has been considerable development of organic agriculture in all European countries. In 2010, there operated 218,500 farms across the European Union, while the total area of organically cultivated land covered 9,181,507 hectares, representing 5.10% of the total utilized area of agricultural land in the EU. Of this number, there were 3,515 farms in the Czech Republic, where the organically cultivated area reached 447,821 hectares. According to the action plan for organic farming in the Czech Republic the goal is to achieve 5,800 farms and 650,000 hectares of organic land in 2015. From the above it is clear that the aim of this thesis is to analyse recent developments, current status and prospects of organic farming in the European Union with an emphasis on the Czech Republic.
