This Diploma thesis deals with the analysis of risks and benefits that may occur when trading in selected international markets. The aim of this thesis is to suggest appropriate measures to eliminate risks. In the theoretical part, problem of international trade is defined and important concepts of the risk management are explained. The practical part analysis the internal and external environment of the company and its market position compared to the competition. Furthermore, the situation on the market is evaluated in economic, political, legal and cultural perspective. Various economic and risk-management methods are beeing used for the evaluation. Based on the results of analysis the markets are ranked from the most suitable to the least suitable for international trade.

Strategie vstupu společnosti Velteko s.r.o. na trh USA

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse conditions of entry into the foreign market of the United States of America, the readiness of the Czech company VELTEKO s.r.o. as an American non-resident for this particular foreign expansion and to evaluate the total process requirements of getting a new US business started. The first part focuses on entry into foreign markets in general, the introduction of the company and providing basic information on the United States. The next section concentrates on current activities of the company on the US market, reasons for further expansion and factors to be taken into consideration before setting up a new business. On the basis of analysis, consultations and information obtained, the outcome of the thesis is to outline the most suitable possibilities of starting and doing business in the USA. This recommendation will include two places of incorporations and a type of business entity I consider to be the most appropriate for a new business set up by Czech nationals.
The importance of international treaties on the Avoidance of Double Taxation in international business

This thesis addresses the impact of international agreements on avoidance of double taxation on international business. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the specific bilateral agreements on avoidance of double taxation concluded by the Czech Republic and to assess their consistency, scope and up-to-dateness in international trade cooperation. These findings are obtained using the method of comparison of specific bilateral agreements concluded between the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, the United States and the Republic of China. The practical part illustrates the real use of international treaties on avoidance of double taxation on income from foreign investments and demonstrates their importance for the development and regulation of international trade relations.
Possible useage of financial derivatives in international business

The thesis is analysing the possible usage of financial derivatives in international business operations at two levels. These are hedging against risks (currency, interest rate and commodity risks) and the possible derivative application within marketing activities. The thesis describes the derivative market dynamics, explains the basic instruments and describes essential trading principles. Based on the three separate case studies, the possible derivative usage in international business is illustrated.

Globalization and growing economic integration within different geographic areas are the main factors having impact on increasing number of companies involved in international business. However, due to recent economic turbulences on the international markets during the last years, this trend is associated with higher level of risk. To ensure the stability on the international market, the knowledge of the risks is an obligation. This thesis consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical and focuses first on the principle risks associated with the international business operations. Afterwards it presents the scope of the risk management and explains the main techniques of the risk assessment. The second part is practical and its goal is to illustrate the application of the techniques explained in the theoretical part on the environment of Zodiac Aerospace group.
