Recruitment of Staff to Employment and Related Obligations of the Employer

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employment law and more specifically the adoption of staff recruitment. It provides an overview of the employers obligations related to the employment of new staff and analyzes future costs of the company to create new jobs. Employer with more than 25 employees in employment are obliged to employ disabled persons or subscribe products from employers employing 50 % of persons with disabilities or to contribute to the state budget. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate which of the legal obligations for employers is most advantageous in terms of cost minimization.

Extending Access Control List in Dokuwiki

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Wiki systems, especially DokuWiki. It deals with history, legal aspects and possibility to create pluggable modules (alias plugins). Plugins are also main theme of this work. At first, a simple plugin for user access rights is designed. Afterwards is extended plugin's functionality with advanced settings of permissions and is also created the ability of automatic user login based on specific entry informations.

The relationship between trade mark protection and copyright protection under Czech law

Resume A relationship between trademark protection and copyright protection under the czech law Both trademarks and copyrights are imovable articles and are parts of intellectual property. A Trademark is stated in the Trademark Code n. 441/2003 as a mark which is used to identify products or services produced by one person (an individual or a legal entity) and distinguish them from products and services produced by another one so that consumers are able to recognize the origin of the products or services. According to the law the mark is a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, color, design, image, or a combination of these elements, it must be created in graphic form perceptible objectively. The mark must be distinctive, original and it must have a relationship with a product or service. A mark complying with all the above mentioned conditions can be registered at the particular Trademark office and subsequently obtain a trademark certification and protection. A Copyright is protected under the Copyright Law n. 121/2000 as a creative and artistic work created by author's intellectual activity and expressed in a form objectively perceptible. The author has exclusive rights to his work. The rights are divided into exclusive personal and exclusive economy rights. In particular he has a right to be presented as...

Somaliland - unrecognized state as an actor of international relations

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate whether it is possible to consider an unrecognized state Somaliland to be an actor of international relations. In the first chapter the main criterias according to which it is possible to evaluate international legal personality, statehood and especially actorness in international relations are defined. The second chapter considering the key historical events answers the question whether it is actually possible to regard Somaliland as a state and thus as a subject of international law. Then, in the third chapter, the key requirements of actorness and attitude of other actors are analyzed. By summary of these findings the main research question is finally answered.

Comparison of the purchase and deposit business establishment (accounting solution)

This thesis deals with comparison of the purchase and deposit business establishment in accounting terms. This task deals with the legal definition of the purchase and deposit business establishment after the recodification of Czech private law, which is valid from 1st of January 2014. When there have been several changes, which relate to just purchase and deposit business establishment. The terminology has changed, instead the company used establishment. The basic theme of this thesis is the accounting treatment for the purchase and deposit business establishment both in terms of general concepts and Czech accounting standards. The application part is dedicated to the accounting treatment of the mentioned transactions in accordance with international financial reporting standards and Czech accounting standards. Analysis of financing of endowment funds focused on human rights

This thesis deals with the analysis of financing of endowment funds as one of the legal forms of non-governmental organizations. Specifically, it is focused on those that specialize in the human rights. The author specifies the environment and conditions under which the endowment funds work in general. The second chapter is focused on the characteristics of the group of the funds supporting human rights and evaluates their professionalism. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of the selected types of their revenues and economic indicators. It also shows the example of four endowment funds and the various attitudes to their financing. Part of this chapter also indicates some of the current problems and challenges of this specific group of endowment funds.

Institute of trust fund in ČR

The bachelor thesis discusses about institute of Trust Fund, which the Czech legal order entered in the reform of private law, the new Civil Code. Its introduction was not without its problems and critics. In this work I deal with the legitimacy of the critic and the changes that should reduce fears of misuse of funds. I also deal with the history, the practical use of the funds and compare our legislation of trust funds with the English editing.

The Role of Non-Governmental Organisations in International Law

The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the role of non-governmental organisations in international law. The work answers three questions involving: The status of non-governmental organisations, participation in conferences and negotiations and enhancing the participatory status of non-governmental organisations within the international legal system. Case study provides an example of functioning of international non-governmental organisations in the framework of the international community illustrated by the example of Amnesty International -- one of the most influential non-governmental organisations of our times.

The impact of recodification of the civil and commercial code on the Czech accounting standards

The Czech accounting standards have been amended many times yet. They were nevertheless adjusted in connection with the recodification of the private law on January 1st, 2014. Main output of this recodification was "The new civil code" and "The law about commercial corporations". The diploma thesis examines the impact of these legal standards on the Czech accounting standards. Apart from that, the new civil law brings also new terminology, what has consequently an impact on legislative and technical changes of the Czech accounting standards. Moreover the thesis talks about selected recodification areas, which significantly interfere in accounting. It is mainly the new concept of properties, trust, earnest payment and paying of prepayments on share on profit. Last but not least, the thesis tries to explain the new definition of technical improvement.

German Foundation Sector. Overview and Analysis with an Emphasis on Community Foundations

The aim of this theses is to show a comprehensive picture of German foundation sector with a focus on historical development as well as the current trends and the latest expert discussions. Another goal is to analyse relatively young German concept of community foundation as one of the examples of new ways of foundation work and come up with recommendations for their Czech counterparts. As an introduction serves an analyses of foundations as one of the main pillars of German non-profit sector, an assessement of their role in public and theoretic discourse and a brief discussion of their historical development. Furthermore, the reader will learn about the distinctions between different types of foundations according to different criteria, their legal environment with the focus on the reforms of non-profit sector laws and an empirical profile of German foundations. Special attention is payed to the concept of community foundations. The conclusion comprises the facts and presents recommendations for Czech foundations sector.
