Severová, Lucie ; Bendl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Bílý, Jiří (referee) ; Němec, Otakar (referee)
This doctoral thesis deals with the topic "Sects in a modern society and their influence on pupils" (school's options in the field of protecting pupils from the influence of sects). The main aim of the dissertation thesis is to map the sect issue and first of all the options of protection from their negative influences. The questionnaires were focused on the knowledge of pupils and students about sects, their awareness and on finding out the real range of education about sects. Contribution of the thesis itself, elaborated in the remaining chapters, lies in the evaluation of mutual relation and intersection of official and practical educational materials, assessment of the research on pupils' knowledge of the sect issue, assessment of the approach to protection of pupils and in a proposal of a new educational model for protecting pupils from the influences of sects, applicable in educational practices.

Searching for Civil Society. Dominik Tatarka 1968-1969
Kutaj, Pavol ; Havelka, Miloš (advisor) ; Skovajsa, Marek (referee)
The topic of this historical research based on a constructive paradigm is the development of civil society in Slovakia. This orientation is realised through the research of the life and work of the Slovak writer Dominik Tatarka, with a focus on the essays he wrote in the course of the reform movement of the Prague Spring. In the chapter called Contextualisation, there is an explanation of the influence of social and political developments on this author between 1913 and 1967. In the following chapter, called Interpretation, there is an attempt to understand Tatarka's concept of culture, which he presented and published in 1968-1969. This understanding is done from the perspective of the theory of civil society with a method of qualitative content analysis. Contribution to the topic lies in the conclusion that the basis of Dominik Tatarka's political and philosophical ideas is similar to the basis of ideas establishing a civil society. Specific to the case of Slovak society in 1968, however, was the fact that it was only partially modernized and that the first political and cultural priority was the defense of the national interest. By applying his ideas to Slovak society, Tatarka arrives at conclusions that are, from the perspective of the theory of civil society, contradictory and do not allow us to label...

Condition monitoring of thrust ball bearings using continuous AE
Chlada, Milan ; Nohal, L. ; Převorovský, Zdeněk
Fast and reliable analysis of continuous AE recorded during endurance tests on flat washer parts reliably simulating critical rolling contact fatigue of the full-scale bearings is presented in the paper. Two channels of continuous AE signal were partially recorded within whole specimen lifetime tests and compared with other experimental parameters as vibration rate or temperature. As an alternative to classical spectrogram analysis, we proposed to use histograms of time intervals between threshold amplitudes crossings in various frequency bands represented by the wavelet decomposition. Results obtained on long-time records are discussed, illustrating advantages of proposed AE signal processing, which can be done in real time to observe the processes before the onset of the final damage on the surface of the specimen more precisely than vibrodiagnostics.
