Dental Prophylaxis in Dogs
Franeková, Tereza ; Karlasová, Barbora (advisor) ; Marcela, Marcela (referee)
The thesis explores the canine oral cavity, namely, the teeth and the most common dental diseases. Dental injury and disease in dogs is a topic of growing interest in veterinary science. The theoretical section discusses the anatomy of the head, oral cavity and teeth. It presents general knowledge of veterinary dentistry and a list of the most common oral cavity diseases. The practical section explores the suitability and the effectiveness of two prevention methods against the build-up of dental plaque, respectively, against the spread of periodontitis. Diseases affecting the periodontium are increasingly common in dogs; they are deemed to be the most frequent diseases affecting small animals above five years of age. There are two most common periodontal diseases. The first, gingivitis, is a reversible inflammation of the gum. The second, periodontitis, is essentially irreversible without specialized treatment and often leads to loss of teeth. The major criterion for maintaining a healthy oral cavity is prevention. Therefore, two methods of home-based prevention are compared in the practical part of the thesis. First, all patients underwent a full-scale dental treatment in a veterinary centre, that is, a comprehensive ultrasonic cleaning and polishing with dental cleaning paste. Then, ascophyllum nodosum, a seaweed also known as Norwegian kelp, was mixed within the daily food ration of half of the patients. In this way, the teeth were being cleaned passively. The second half of the patients had their teeth cleaned with Orozyme, an enzyme-formula oral hygiene gel for dogs, and this way an active teeth cleaning method was explored. Six weeks after the initial dental treatment, a dental plaque identification test was carried out in a veterinary centre. Statistical analysis of the resulting data did not signal substantial differences between the treatment with Norwegian kelp and that of using the oral gel. A combination of the two techniques is, therefore, recommended as the best prevention strategy against plaque build-up.

Mlčochová, Olga ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Růžička, Květoslav (referee)
As a topic of my rigorous essay, I have chosen an issue of arbitration procedure in a domestic and international commercial intercourse. As I was working on my rigorous essay, at first, I wrote a short general information on international and domestic arbitration procedure, kinds of arbitration procedures, focused on institutional arbitration procedure and mentioned the most important arbitration courts as well. I have also assessed positive and negative aspects of arbitration procedure and named centres where international and domestic arbitrations are proceeded. I have also dealt an issue of submission (in the chapter 5, I have focused on a problem of making a valid submission, as there were some institutions in the past that were abusing arbitrary rights of clients they accused and violated arbitration law). I have also focused on arbitrability in general, how this is processed and the way some specific cases concerning e.g. labour law, Land registry inscription and exchange cases are solved using this method. Next, I have also analyzed the way other courts` decisions are accepted and executed and finally, I have also mentioned the newest arbitration method online arbitration. I have divided my rigorous essay into ten parts (including introduction, conclusion and list of literature I used for my essay)....

In his master thesis the author provides a look into the history of The North Czech philharmonic Teplice, the only professional symphonic ensemble in the region of Ústí nad Labem, since 1948 until now. The work is divided into four main chapters. The first one gives an overview about the most significant conductors, which held a position of either a chief-conductor or a deputy. The second, crucial chapter brings an insight to the historical development of the orchestra, its changes and events, from the time of the re-establishment (1948) to the year 2016. In the third chapter, the author mentions the most important information about Ludwig van Beethoven music festival, of which The North Czech philharmonic Teplice is an organizer, and then gives a brief and incomplete list of the festival's seasons. The final chapter marginally sums up the work with the information about a new feature called "orchestra academy", inspired by the main czech orchestras. The thesis is attached with pictures showing the rehearsals and concerts environment in the time course and recent images of the orchestra, which enhance the possible plain and fact-like character of the whole work.

Detection of Malicous Traffic in Local Network
Šabík, Erik ; Kováčik, Michal (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis discusses monitoring local networks using IP flows. It describes Nemea framework which is used for building complex systems for detecting malicious traffic. Analysis of data from three different networks was performed by using this framework. Based on this analysis a design for detection of malicious traffic in local network was created. The detection method monitors network traffic for suspicious communication targeting IP or URL addresses that are listed in public blacklists. The detection method is evaluated on various traffic samples and the results show that three analysed samples belong to networks that are well managed and secured since the communication with the blacklisted entities is rare.
