Potenciometrické stanovení gentamycinu ve farmaceutických přípravcích
Kočí, Martina ; Pospíšilová, Marie (advisor) ; Polášek, Miroslav (referee)
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, and can treat many types of bacterial infections, particularly Gram-negative infection. It is one of the heat-stable antibiotics that remain active after autoclaving, which make it particularly useful in the preparation in the certain microbiological growth media. Traditionally, pharmaceutical analysis of these compounds relies heavily on chromatography, yet also frequently requiring the use of reagent-based detection principles like spectrophotometric, chemiluminescent detection in flow-injection analysis , capillary electrophoresis, a novel LC/ELSD, thin-layer chromatography, HPLC.A simple and sensitive potentiometric procedure for the determination of gentamicin is presented, after development of selective electrodes based on PVC membranes using different type of cyclodextrins and its derivatives, or Evans Blue complex with gentamicin as ionophers. Several mediator solvents and lipophilic ionic species were also used in order to optimize the characteristics of the membranes. The evaluation of the general characteristics for all the units prepared revealed an analytical linear range of about 2x10-4; 5x10-3 mol L-1, slopes of about 50 mV/dec, good reproducibility and low response times. The evaluation of Potentiometric selectivity coefficients will permit to...

From intentionality to sensation: the non-intentional consciousness in the philosophy of Emmanuel Lévinas
Detistova, Anastasia ; Novotný, Karel (advisor) ; Monseu, Nicolas (referee)
This thesis attempts to reveal Levinas' conception of sensibility which aims to separate hylé and morphé of Husserl's intentionality in order to discover non-intentional sensibility irreductible to intentional comprehension. We begin with Husserl's conception of intentionality and its criticism by Levinas, then we proceed with Levinas' theory of sensible and finally we deal with his conception of non-intentional sensibility. The procedure is done through the research of "fundamental intention", which in its turn leads to the conception of "diachronic time" opposed to the Husserl's conception of immanent time, and which shows independence of the individual sensations from intentionality of the consciousness.

Changes of narrative technique in Kageró Nikki
Miko, Michael ; Švarcová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Tirala, Martin (advisor)
My thesis Changes of Narrative Technique in Kager Nikki attempts to analyse one of the first Japanese literary diaries (nikki), of mid 10th century, and one of the so-called four great literary diaries of the Heian period (794-1185), in terms of narrative techniques used by its author, known today as "the Mother of Mitchitsuna." Introduction, containing the purpose, objectives and method of my thesis, and my introductory remarks on the theory of narration are followed by a summary of some basic biographical data of the author where it was my ambition to concisely outline her life story and to review both her literary work and legacy. This leads to another section, which strives to further organise relevant information on the diary and to define it in the context of literary history. Approximately one third through, the thesis begins to describe in more general terms the diary's structure with regard to its story build-up and the emphasis on gradual transformation of writer's prosaic style, inseparably intertwined with the diary's storyline. Subsequently, the analysis reveals some narrative techniques typically used by the writer, in an attempt to describe them and as a result to underpin their alterations in time. Concluding remarks try to definitively assess the overall relevance of the methods used. Annex...

Managing organizational changes for improvement in business performance
Drábek, Martin ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Lebrová, Nora (referee)
Nowadays, due to the fact of growing external and internal influences, such as increasing competition, limited resources, globalization and new technology, every company is exposed to a potential threat of the inability to adapt to these pressures or inability to use them adequately for their advantage and benefits. As the only appropriate solution for this situation is offered an active approach to ongoing management of both strategic, but also small (incremental) organizational changes. Examples of these changes include changes in the organizational structure, business process reengineering, the use of new technologies, development of innovative products, etc. These changes are mainly supposed to direct the company towards continuous improvement of business performance and sustainable competitiveness. These activities also reveal a lot of (more or less) problematic areas and procedures and to them is devoted the first part of this work. Then, in the second part, there is described approach and techniques of managing these changes in a large software company over a specified period of time. Confrontation of this real praxis with the theoretical background is output of the final part of the work, including suggestions and recommendations of solutions for the areas of change management, in which the company has still room for improvement.

Community in Aristotle's Politics in the context of the European integration process
Pimper, Lukáš ; Kučera, Rudolf (advisor) ; Šimsa, Martin (referee)
Diploma thesis "Community in Aristotle's Politics in the context of the European integration process" is a structural comparative analysis of Aristotle's political community concept and the European integration process. The aim of this work is to point out the similarities between the developments of the European Communities from the economical ones to setting up common political goals with Aristotelian development of community from the ones for general purpose to the best one, which is polis. In using the analysis of the decision procedures of different institutions, two main conclusions were revealed. At first place, even if the European Union is not in the position to be called a natural political community in the terms of Aristotle, it has clear aim to become that one. Secondly, I revealed that the political constitution of European Union is the constitutional oligarchy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Regeneration of road cyclists
Čtvrtníček, Jiří ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Nam.e ofthe work: Regeneration ofroad cyclists Obj-ectives of the work: to carry out an examination of the state of regeneration in road cyclists' teams in the Czech Republic on the basis of theoretical knowledge and empirical evidence of the author, and after its evaluation further suggestions for improvement of the regeneration process procedure would be offered. Method: The research was carried out using methods of analysis of training documentation (cyclists' training log books), interviews (to state ways of spending free time and also to state subjective feelings of competitors toward regeneration), questionnaires and observation. Evaluation of the collected data was done by percent occurrence ofindividua! variables. Results: The research revealed grave defects in the process ofregeneration of road cyclists - in fact in all aspects of regeneration. With reference to this finding the author suggests certain steps to optimise the process ofroad cyclists' regeneration. Key words: road cycling, rehabilitation, regeneration, fatigue, means ofregeneration

The a capella Compositions of Antonín Dvořák
Klárová, Barbora ; Valášek, Marek (advisor) ; Veverková, Jana (referee)
As a conclusion of this work I will try to sum up the achieved information. The complete list of the compositions belonging to the field of study could be assessed as the first success together with the details of description. Another success was the literal tracing of the newspaper articles concerning the announcements of concerts as well as reviews of those concerts in the then papers. The analyses of the compositions (see chapter No. 5) were important for the deeper insight into the topic; and an interestingly varied perspective of the problems was offered by the special questionnaire (see chapter No. 9). At the beginning of this study I set a goal of reaching a certain resuscitation of the works, their summary and bringing their charm nearer to broad audience. The synoptic list of the compositions is to be found not only within the chapter No. 3 and 4 but also No. 8, where there appear the experts' opinions concerning these works often revealing some of the backstage details. Undoubtedly, chapter No. 5 dealing with the analysis of works was a further revelation of the captivating beauty of those works. Such a detailed analysis at the same time helps the audience get a certain insight into the structure of the compositions and thus indirectly looks "over the shoulder" of the composer himself. The...
