Immigration to the EU focused on the Mediterranean region
Janičkovičová, Lýdia ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The thesis discusses the transformation of southern European countries, Italy and Spain, from traditionally countries of emigration into countries of immigration. It starts from historical migration flows which result in so-called Mediterranean model of immigration characteristic for the region in the last two decades. The paper analyses the composition of immigrants in both countries, focusing on the ethnic composition, the motives of residence and employment status compared with overall employment in the EU context. Since the south European countries concerned are significantly affected by inflows of migrants by sea in recent years, the thesis also focuses on problematic areas of the Mediterranean, detention centers and cooperation with source countries. The main aim of this work is to analyze how these two countries handle the phenomenon of immigration and what recourse did they choose in creating their own immigration policies towards both legal and illegal immigration. The second objective is then to bring some comparison of the two countries in the approaches to integration of immigrants.

Subject Matter Jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court
Bureš, Jan ; Šturma, Pavel (advisor) ; Čepelka, Čestmír (referee) ; Bílková, Veronika (referee)
in English The theme of this dissertation is the subject matter jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Offences such as aggression, genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, sometimes called the "core crimes", are the most serious crimes ever indentified under international law. These crimes do not violate only some particular rights, but they threaten the whole international community, peace, security and well-being of the world. Therefore it is essential to have a precise legal definition of these grave crimes and to establish an effective judicial mechanism for prosecution of the most dangerous criminals. However, it is not easy to find general consent on these matters among the international community. There is not much space for internationalisation in the field of criminal law, which was traditionally considered an important part of national sovereignty. Thus the path towards establishment of the ICC, which is the first permanent international criminal judicial body ever, was extremely difficult, as was definition of the four core crimes falling within its jurisdiction. This thesis scrutinises the concrete provisions of the ICC Statute, the "Rome Statute", which constitute substantive law by defining the crime of genocide (art. 6), crimes against humanity (art. 7), war...

Redžič, Alen ; Gullová, Soňa (advisor) ; Laschoberová, Libuše (referee)
I have selected cultural and business specialities in Canada as a objective in my work. In these days it is really necessary to know witch cultural and business dissimilarities can we meet during business negotiation. It is my hope that my work will provide aggregate information about Canadian culture and will attract more interested person. For instance: business representatives, when they want to know about the country they want to do business with, correspondence departments they have to maintain the relationship with Canadian business partners, students they want to go to Canada for holiday or at last tourists they are going to visit the country of maple leaf on their journey. In the prologue I have tried to set the goal and the structure of my work. In first and second chapter I pay attention for territorial characteristics, economic situation and foreign trade. I also have taken down a legal framework of Canada. I found out that there is huge difference among Canadian provinces. Where some business tactics will be kindly accepted as a professional, in other province can this behaviour be taken as a lack of interest or dispassionate. Third chapter provides intercultural characteristics. On models of two well known anthropologists I have tried to explain Canadian behaviour- their ways of thinking, ways of acting and why are they different from their neighbours from US. Fourth and fifth chapter deals with cultural and business dissimilarities in Canada. I have explained why is Canadian culture of business so special from other cultures. Language issue, social values or inclination to recycle and other problematic has been mentioned. The conclusion of my work has shown if I succeeded in my goals that I set in prologue. I am aware, that this topic is so extensive that I was not able to cover all of it but I hope that I have provided many useful information and knowledge about this so various region.

Hradečný, Michael ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pítra, Vladimír (referee)
83 VIII. RESUMÉ International Protection of Industrial Rights Intellectual property is a dynamic area of law, flowering especially in the age of information society. Thanks to new technologies and mainly due to the use of Internet the local markets are becoming global. As intellectual property becomes more interconnected with other fields of law its importance keeps rising and so does the role of international regulation. Particular industry rights protection may be relied upon only when protected in all the countries of potential exploitation. International agreements relevant for this area of law are analysed in this work and emphasis is put on their main functions, which is the overcoming of the principle of territorial limitation and the guarantee of protection of the rights attained in one state by other states. The goal of my thesis is to provide an insight on the problematic of international regulation of intellectual property, analyse it from the legal point of view and reflect its significance in the light of actual social context. In order to fulfil this goal I have chosen to use the following methods: literature analysis, statistical analysis, comparative analysis and secondary analysis. Despite the role of industrial right played in the recent times they seem to be subject to rather marginal...

Intraoseal approach - an alternative to peripheral venous entry
TUROŇ, Jiří
The intraoseal approach is an alternative method how to ensure bloodstream in cases when it is difficult or impossible to use venous entry. It is used mostly in children, but it is possible to apply it to adults too. This bachelor?s thesis called ?Intraoseal approach - an alternative to peripheral venous entry? deals with theory of using intraoseal approach in conditions of pre-hospital urgent care. The practical part of this thesis surveys the frequency of using intraoseal implant and screens the knowledge of rescuers working in Salvage and rescue service of Moravian-Silesian district. The method of quantitative research was used to validate the hypothesis. Obtained data were collected by method of anonymous questionaires. These questionaires were distributed to Salvage and rescue service of Moravian-Silesian district, to resorts of Ostrava, Opava, Havířov, Karviná, Krnov, Třinec and Frýdek ? Místek in the concrete. The results of this work showed practical and theoretical knowledge of paramedics of Moravian-Silesian district. Their orientation in the problematics of using alternative venous entry in conditions of pre-hospital urgent care is mostly correct even if there was few wrong answers. Nevertheless the results of research were excellent. These are hypotheses defined ? H1: Paramedics know the process of using intraoseal approach, and H2: The intraoseal approach is used less than venous cannulation in life endangering cases. Both of these hypotheses were verified. The frequency of using this entry is not so high, but I believe it becomes more common with increasing knowledge of rescuers, especially in cases of immediate threat of life with impossibility of using peripheral venous entry.
