Process management principles, procedures and tools application in software development project management
Oškrdal, Václav ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee) ; Hřebíček, Jiří (referee) ; Závodný, Peter (referee)
The main goal of this dissertation thesis is to design and verify a new concept of process management principles, procedures and tools application, utilizable in the software development project management field. Emphasis is placed on creating a general (i.e. generally usable) concept, derived from solid theoretical background and suitable for further expansion and modifications. The theoretical part of the thesis has two main chapters. In the "Process management" chapter, the individual derived principles (Effectiveness, Added value, Coherence, Portability, Adequate standardization, Measurability, Clarity, Integration, Accountability, Continuous improvement) and procedures (Initiation, Identification, Definition, Validation, Implementation, Revision) are described and interconnected into an integrated concept, usable for the introduction and development of process management in the organization, supported by appropriate ICT tools (mainly from four selected areas -- Modeling and Simulation, Performance measurement, Change management, Administration). In the "Project Management" chapter, the project management area is embedded in the broader context of a process-driven organization in line with modern models of strategic ICT governance and ICT services management. The main dimensions of project management as well as the process approach to project management, which helps to bridge the gap between unique/temporary projects and repeatable/stable processes, are described. Basis for the normative project processes design in the following part of the thesis is set by the evaluation of selected models of the project life cycle and project management methodologies. The practical part of this thesis is basically a verification of the concept, described in the theoretical chapters. Firstly, an original project management methodology, suitable for deriving process model of the subject area, is presented. On this basis -- and by using the previously described principles, procedures and process management tools -- the major artifacts of a reference project processes model are elaborated (such as Conceptual model of the subject area, List of events and natural processes, Process pyramid, Process model, Organization model, Indicators pyramid or RACI matrix of roles and processes/indicators /SLAs; setup of selected process model is also verified experimentally by simulations). Critical evaluation of the presented model is an important input for the final assessment of the thesis goals' achievement and proposal of further research fields.

EVALUATION OF FAMILY FUNCTIONALITY IN A TOWN UP TO 50 000 INHABITANTS BY THE FAMILY APGAR QUESTIONNAIRE
VYORALOVÁ, Lucie
Abstract The bachelor{\crq}s thesis is focused on the evaluation of the functionality of the family which is determined here through the Family APGAR questionnaire elaborated by Gabriel Smilkstein in 1978. The goal of the thesis was to find out in what way the Family APGAR questionnaire may be utilized for evaluation of the functionality of the family living in the town up to 50 000 inhabitants. Through the research, the hypothesis determined at the beginning should have been confirmed or refuted that the Family APGAR questionnaire is suitable to evaluate the functionality of the family living in the town up to 50 000 inhabitants. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of family is defined. The family development is also described here. A part of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis deals with the functions of the family, i.e. the biologically-reproductive function, economic and securing function, emotional, socializing and educational function. Moreover the relationships in the family are treated, the meaning of the family for the child and on the contrary the contribution of the child for the family. The thesis tries also to describe the relationship between the parent and the adolescent child. A strand of the theoretical part is also the characterization of a functional family, also the features of a dysfunctional family are included. Last but not least the characterization of the present family community is mentioned. The practical part the of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis is focused on the verification of Smilkstein Family APGAR questionnaire. The name APGAR consists of the initial letters of English words Adaptability, Partnership, Growth, Affection and Resolve. The necessary data were gained through the quantitative research performed among children. The research was performed by the method of questioning where the technique of the standardized interview was applied. The addressed respondents were in the age category 12 to 18. The hypothesis was refuted. Family APGAR questionnaire is not a suitable instrument for determining the family functionality.

Specifice of nursing care for children undergoing endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal tract
HALÁMKOVÁ, Hana
Although it is not a new method endoscopy has undergone incredible development in recent years. The examination is however very unpleasant for a patient, which is why health care staff should be well trained, particularly for child patients. The aim of the thesis was to map the specifics of nursing care for children undergoing endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal tract. We approached the whole issue from the point of view of caring staff ? nurses. In the theoretical part we first described the gastrointestinal tract anatomy, endoscopy development and types of endoscopic examination. Then we dealt with the role of a nurse in the care for child patients undergoing these examinations. We formed three goals for the research. Goal 1: To find out how nurses prepare child patients for the individual endoscopic examinations. Goal 2: To verify whether nurses caring about a child patient undergoing gastrointestinal tract endoscopy are specifically trained. Goal 3 served as the output of the work: To elaborate recommendation for nurses preparing child patients for the individual endoscopic examinations. We chose quantitative research for collection of the necessary information. A questionnaire designed for nurses caring for child patients was the data collection technique. The questionnaire was anonymous, distributed at paediatric clinics of faculty hospitals of Moravian region. 104 questionnaires suitable for processing returned from 140 issued. The research has shown that nurses working at the clinics where the research was performed master the correct nursing care for child patients undergoing endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal tract. Nevertheless the fact that most information is gained upon practical experience, with low emphasis on initial and repeated training of nurses also results from the research. A recommendation was elaborated upon the gathered information in the form of a standard nursing procedure proposal.

THE EVALUATION OF THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE FAMILY LIVING IN THE MINICIPALITY UP TO 1000 INHABITANTS BY THE FAMILY APGAR QUESTIONNAIRE
KRÁTKÁ, Edita
The bachelor{\crq}s thesis is focused on the family and its functionality. The family functionality was verified based on the Family APGAR questionnaire elaborated by Gabriel Smilkstein in 1978. The name of the questionnaire consists of the initial letters of the words: Adaptability, Partnership, Growth, Affection and Reslove. The target of the work was to find out, if and in what way it is possible to use the Family APGAR questionnaire for the evaluation of the functionality of the family living in the municipality up to 1000 inhabitants. The contents of the initial hypothesis said that the APGAR Family questionnaire is usable for the evaluation of the functionality of the family living in the municipality up to 1000 inhabitants. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concept of family and states its definition. Moreover the thesis informs about the historical development of the family since the ancient times. It tries to inform of the development cycles of the family from meeting partners up to the moment when children leave the family. It explains also the basic functions of the family, i.e. the biologically-reproductive function, economic and securing, emotional and last but not least the socializing and educational function. This analysis is supplemented by the split of defects of family and their causes. Moreover the data to the functional and not functional family are stated. The chapter of the present Czech family clarifies the situation and trends in Czech families. In the theoretical part, moreover the contribution and influence of the family on the child and of the child on the family are described. Last but not least the thesis shows the factors of both parents influencing the education of the child. The practical part verifies the reliability of the Family APGAR questionnaire for the determination of the functionality of the family. The data were acquired by the quantitative research. This research was performed by the method of questioning when the technique of the standardized (controlled) interview was applied. The complex of 33 respondents aged from 12 to 18 years was collected by the accidental choice with the aid of the contact from friends. The municipality up to thousand inhabitants where the respondents are living, is in Strakonice region. The research refuted the initial hypotheses; the Family APGAR questionnaire is not a sufficient measure for evaluating the functionality of the family living in the municipality up to 1000 inhabitants.

Title: Numerical solution of flows in time dependent domains with elastic walls Author: Martin Hadrava Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Miloslav Feistauer, DrSc., dr. h. c. Supervisor's e-mail address: feist@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: This work is devoted to the numerical solution of flow in time dependent domains with elastic walls. This problem has several applications in engineering and medicine. The flow is described by the system of Navier-Stokes equations supplemented with suitable initial and boundary conditions. A part of the boundary of the region oc- cupied by the fluid is represented by an elastic wall, whose deformation is described by a hyperbolic partial differential equation with initial and boundary conditions. Its right- hand side represents the force by which the fluid flow acts on the elastic wall. The goal of this work is to elaborate a numerical method for solving this coupled problem based on the finite element method and the ALE formulation of the equations describing flow. A for- mulation and analysis of the problem together with discretization, algorithmisation and programming of modules, which were added to an existing software package, is presented. The method that was worked out is applied to solve test problems. Keywords: interaction of flow and an...
