Factories managerial game UI Specification

This bachelor thesis deals with the procedure of creating a board games and an analysis of current trends in this area. I chose board game theme mainly due to the fact that playing these games improve logical and tactícal thinking. It is also unique tool for improving interpersonal communication across generations. I also want to examine methods of interaction design, which I am going to use later for creating my own board game. Board games were played by our ancestors and thus have a rich history and also because of that I consider it is important to deal with their history in my thesis.
The practical part deals with the UI specification of the board game, which includes motivation, goal definitions, personas, use cases, scenarios as well as logical and graphic designs. In conclusion I deal with the quantitative, but also qualitative testing using questionnaire survey. The aim of my survey was to determine the beneficial information from potential players of board games.

Vector Optimalisation of a Company Based on Trend Evaluation

The thesis deals with the analysis of the macroeconomic, market and intern environment of corporations in order to analyze the appropriate time to establish a new company or to invest into an existing economical subject. For this purpose the qualitative modeling was used. Thanks to this method there is a possibility to predict the future development of the factors that have an influence on rentability of companies. The choice of variables is the same as with the ones that are analyzed in the process of evaluation rating.

Face recognition in video sequences

This thesis deals with design, implementation and testing of face recognition system processing video sequences captured by CCTV systems. The use of Local Binary Pattern Histograms (LPBH) and Nearest Neighbor (NN) classifier was suggested according to the survey of face recognition methods. Discrimination power of LBPH features was examined and individual informative features were searched based on Fisher discrimination ratio and mutual correlation. Cluster’s centorid method was utilized for pattern creation because of its best effect on system’s face recognition capability comparing several proposed methods. Software tool for effective face recognition system algorithms performance testing was developed. Video database IFaViD was assembled for training and performance testing of implemented face recognition system.

Simulation and evaluation of scenarios running real-time UMTS services in Opnet Modeler environment

This work deals with the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System problems. It researches the parameters of influencing the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network behaviour where is the Quality of Services support necessary. The aim of this master’s thesis is the simulation and evaluation of scenarios running real-time UMTS services in Opnet Modeler environment. In the first part is the short introduction to this technology problem. The requirements and the aims, the frequency plan, the network architecture and the Quality of Services support in UMTS are described. Creating the mobile network in the OPNET Modeler environment, configuration of the particular elements with the correct functionality and finally the parameters configuration for the Quality of Service at all workstations was the practical part of this work. At last phase was needed to compare the final statistics of the model without QoS support and the model with QoS support. I verified my knowledge in the OPNET Modeler program and the expected simulation results were confirmed. The final part of the thesis was creating the laboratory problem on the basis experience gained.

A Theme of a Book as an Inspiration for an Author Performance

In this diploma thesis I´m trying to describe a process of working on an author
performance inspired by a book, threw analysis of my own author performance called Gog.
In the introductory chapter I try to outline some similarities between working on a
screenplay, as Jean-Claude Carriere speaks about it in his book Telling a story and working on a performance, if we are two, we are directors, actors, dramaturgists and we are inspired by a book.
In next chapters I speak about the theme and the form of the book Gog, and afterwards
I describe in detail what interested us and which main theme we chose for our performance.
In the main part of this thesis I describe in detail the process of rehearsing different parts
of the performance and I analyze themes that are present. Here I mention extracts from the book Gog and I describe how the text and the theme influenced our way of rehearsing and our way of choosing expression agens. I describe in detail our searching. I mention how we approached to the move, spoken word, animation and projection tasks that were our ways of expression. Afterwards I try to think about the balance of organizing different elements in the performance. Last part of this chapter is dedicated to elements of performance such a scenography, costume, music.
Next chapter I address to telling a story as an important element of communication
and sharing not only in theater. I am thinking about ways to communicate and about forms of telling a story. In next part of this chapter I aim to compare the attributes and possibilities of a literary work and theatre with regard to the book as an important element for our creative process.
In the penultimate chapter, which has three parts, I describe in detail the theme of
creation, subsequently: I reflect the collaboration in a couple, the experiences acquired during the process. I gather some unwritten rules from my experience connecting my thoughts with citations from the book of Jean-Claude Carriere. In the next part I speak more in detail about the working process and switching roles of actor and director. Afterwards I mention the importance of a feedback from somebody outside of the process, as a dramaturgical help and I mention some examples. In the last part of this chapter I analyze a question of style in author work and I try to speak about my own opinions about style.
In the conclusion I mention my view of a performance as an entity, which lives its
own life and I am thinking about some potential aspirations of my work. I appreciate the
freedom in creativity and I mention that all this takes along a big responsibility.

Drama Activities with Children of Younger School Age

V teoretické části se bude studentka zabývat vymezením teoretických pojmů týkajících se dramatické hry a dramatické výchovy jako takové. Rovněž budou popsány zvláštnosti dané věkové skupiny z hlediska vývojové psychologie. Budou popsány konkrétní možnosti rozvoje osobnosti dítěte, schopnosti se samostatně vyjadřovat a projevovat, ať už pohybem či verbálně při činnostech dramatických. Bude zdůrazněna role učitele (učitelky), který děti podporuje a povzbuzuje, přijímá všechny jejich projevy a nekritizuje. V praktické části se bude studentka zabývat pozorováním skupiny dětí mladšího školního věku při dramatických činnostech. Studentka bude vést dramatický kroužek, kde budou děti rozvíjet své dramatické dovednosti. Některé z nácvičných hodin si bude natáčet na videokameru a bude tak pozorovat změny a zlepšení v dramatickém projevu. Zaměří se na rozdílnost projevu dětí ve skupině. Například na nejvíce extrovertního žáka a naopak introvertního žáka ve skupině.

A Play as Part of Foreign Language Learning

My diploma thesis describes the possibilities of using drama education in English language teaching at the secondary school. The theoretical part shows how English teaching can be connected with drama education. Furthermore, it presents concrete methods and techniques which can be used in any English lesson and it describes the basic principles of play rehearsal in schools. The practical part presents the author?s original theatre script in English for secondary school students and it also contains a reflection of the process of staging a theatre performance according to the script, done with a group of pupils from the Kubatova secondary school in České Budějovice.

Zpráva popisuje výstupy projektu, jehož cílem bylo navržení ucelené metodické a institucionální základny, která bude vytvářet podklady pro rozhodování, přípravu strategických materiálů a umožní vypracovávat scénáře vývoje životního prostředí. Součástí projektu je návrh hodnocení vytvořených koncepčních materiálů. V rámci projektu byl vypracován přehled standardních technik rozhodování, ověřena aplikovatelnost metody analýzy obalu dat (DEA) a testovány analýzy časových řad. Byl připraven návrh na propojení práce expertů při přípravě pravidelně vydávaných zpráv o stavu životního prostředí a při práci na tvorbě výhledů a scénářů. Byl vypracován návrh na vytvoření pracovní skupiny a koordinačního centra GAINS CENIA pro analýzu scénářů politiky životního prostředí a jeho propojení se souvisejícími aktivitami. Byly zkoumány modely GAINS a LCA model IWM-2. Zpráva obsahuje podrobnější popis výsledků v jednotlivých přílohách.
