Design of gasturbine for car
Šíblová, Kamila ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals about the combustion turbine, design, processing and utilization. This work can be divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical knowledge gained in the field of gas turbines and their applications. The second part addresses the design of combustion turbine and its integral part. The third section describes the expected characteristics of combustion turbines. The work also includes the annex, which includes the technical documentation.
Gas steam cycle power plant using metelurgic gas
Kysel, Stanislav ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main goal of my thesis is to carry out thermic calculations for adjusted conditions of electric and heat energy consumption. The power of the generator is 330 MW. In the proposal, you can find combustion trubines type GE 9171E. Steam-gas power plant is designed to combust metallurgical gases. Effort of the thesis focuses also on giving a new informations about trends in combinated production of electric and heat energy.
Power plant with gas turbine
Drábek, Ivo ; Polesný,, Bohumil (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this master´s thesis is designing power plant with gas turbine of 50 MWe power output for the site. It includes appropriete choose of gas turbine and its simplified termodynamic calculation, designing the thermal diagram and its calculation, for the parameters complying with nominal temperature of outside air, layout design, annual energy and mass flow results, savings of combined heat and power, intended at this application and economic evaluation of investment.

Optimalization and calculation of transition duct design
Havlíček, Tomáš ; Náhlík, Luboš (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a methodic and a system, which would involve customized computing and consequent design of the transition duct using input and applied data effectively and would achieve optimized set of parameters. The methodic described in the thesis is applied on transition duct within air main ducting between the filter and gas turbine. Transition duct is a huge mounted assembly consisting of welded parts. NX 5 application was chosen as system environment of the thesis. Master model is a root for both design model and computing model. Weight and material optimization is a desired result which will serve as basis for designing. It is not the goal of this thesis to create one perfect computation model BUT to create a methodic, which would be manageable by any designer equipped by basic knowledge of engineering.
Gas turbine closed cycle
Kovář, Radim ; Šen, Hugo (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the gas turbine closed cycle. The first part concerns the maximum of theoretical efficiency and practical excutable efficiency for the cycles without regeneration, cycles with regeneration and cycles with regeneration with split compression. The second part concerns the optimalization of the recuperator towards the speed of gas flow in the pipes of the recuperator. The third part includes weight and size design of two kinds of recuperators for different levels of regeneration.
Preparation of Operating Gas Turbine Combustion
Trtík, Jan ; Tvrdík, Josef (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
Master thesis is concerned with gas turbines from Siemens company. The thesis consists of two main parts. In the first part describes the different types of turbines, their characteristics and use in practice. The following is a detailed description of components and systems the biggest industrial gas turbine SGT-800. The second part discusses about the necessary steps for commissioning turbine. These particulars are managing software, testing, commissioning and phasing of the turbine generator to the distribution network. The conclusion is devoted to the example of calculating return investment on the overall gas turbine project.
High temperature coatings for gas turbine blades
Chýlek, Radomír ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is the overview of technology of high temperature coatings for gas turbine blades. The familiarization with properties of individual coatings, their capabilities to increase the blades durability and their resistance to damage and temperature influences are emphasized in this work. The potential of significant increase of gas turbines efficiency using different types of coating and cooling of the blades was evaluated in this thesis. Additionally the individual coating techniques are described and compared. Last but not least, this thesis contains closer description of the state-of-the-art thermal barrier coatings including the characteristics required for the following computing part. The computing part deals with calculation of heat transfer through the blade. The conclusion is dedicated to the future use of the coatings from the author's perspective.
