Contribution to the evaluation swelling mechanism of DL-lactic and glycolic acid oligoester
Rufferová, Lenka ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
In theoretical part this thesis deals with lactic acid polymers, their production, their characteristics, degradation and biological degradation. Also the use of these polymers in practice and the potential for their use in medicine are mentioned here. During seven days time the behavior of the DL-lactic acid oligoester and glycolic acid oligoester in aqueous environment was observed in the process of their degradation at the temperature of 37řC. The individual samples differed in their weight (50, 100, 150 and 250 mg) and in the length of the period of time, during which the behavior in the aqueous environment was observed. Three parameters were chosen as object of the observation: swelling degree, erosion degree and the acidity number. The results of the measurement were compared with the results of the observation of the behavior of the oligomer under identical conditions, but at the temperature of 7řC (those results were provided by my colleague Veronika Hašková). In some cases the results confirmed a correlation between the swelling degree and the acidity number in the course of the degradation of the oligoester. At the same time there was an evident difference in the behavior at the two different temperatures. The swelling and erosion of studied material proceeded at 37řC more intensively...

Financial Supervision in Federal Republic of Germany
Veselá, Dominika ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor) ; Veselá, Jitka (referee)
This thesis deals with the organizational structure of financial supervision in Germany with a view to asses the recently completed institutional integration. First, the overview of theoretical models of financial supervisory agencies is submitted including advantages and disadvantages of such concepts. Being aware of the absence of a sole universal applicable solution of the institutional organization of financial supervision, the fundamental requirements are introduced, generally imposed on every financial regulation system in order to perform its tasks effectively. The emphasis of this paper rests upon presenting the German financial supervision in several terms. The main section surveys the evolution of supervision until the formation of BaFin -- Federal Financial Supervision Agency, the ample scope is devoted to legal issues, the inner organization of BaFin is described in detail and the particular attention is paid to funding. The reality of day-to-day supervisory activities is explored in the passage related to problems of financial supervision, where especially the complex question of mutual cooperation between BaFin and Bundesbank In the field of bank supervision comes to light. The supervision-costs analysis focused on the situation prior to integration and mistakenly assumed course after its implementation supplements the general view. Considering all proposed facts the conclusion offers a review of assumptions ensuring a proper supervisory structure.

Impersonal verbs in a diachronic and typological perspective
Popelíková, Jiřina ; Dušková, Libuše (referee) ; Čermák, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive typological description of Old and Middle English verbs attested to have been capable of participating in impersonal constructions and to outline their historical development up to the point of their disappearance in the course of Early Modern English. It categorizes the verbs both on the basis of their grammatical and semantic features and attempts to establish a link between the impersonal and personal usage of each individual case. In this process it utilizes the information gained through an extensive study of bibliographical materials in combination with examples from original literary sources made available through Old and Middle English dictionary entries. Following the results obtained through a comparative analysis of the verbs of both historical periods it attempts to map the gradual cession of the impersonal constructions, which it sees as concomitant of morpho-syntactic changes that took place during the Middle English period and which resulted in the language transforming from its original, highly inflectional form into an analytical grammatical system of the Present Day English.

Nursing care about pacient with cholelithiasis
Šubrová, Marie ; Nováková, Jana (advisor) ; Štefka, Jakub (referee)
In my thesis, I worked a case study of a patient diagnosed with Cholelithiasis, who was hospitalized in gastroenterology department. In part, the clinical anatomy of the gallbladder and bile ducts, characteristic Cholelithiasis methods of investigation in relation to Cholelithiasis and treatment options. Then I pointed out the patient identification data, medical history, examination and listing of drugs that a patient while hospitalized recently and the course of hospitalization. During processing, I used the method of nursing process. With that, I identified the basic problems of the patient, which I was working with him in trying to best resolve. The patient was hospitalized for nine days in the gastroenterology department because of dovyšetření cholelithiasis. Among the highest priorities were the pain and change eating habits. The final decision on future treatment should MRCP examination. Which were found gallstones in the gallbladder. For further treatment was recommended cholecystectomy, which will be adopted as planned in two months, the resting phase Cholelithiasis.

Effect of temeperature stress and water shortage on thousand grain weight of selected winter wheat varietes
Hlaváčová, Marcela ; Pohanková, Eva ; Klem, Karel ; Trnka, Miroslav
The aim of the presented study was to assess the effect of high temperatures and water shortage during anthesis on thousand grain weight (TGW) of two winter wheat varieties (Tobak and Pannonia). In addition, numbers of grains per spike were also assessed. The six growth chambers were used to simulate heat stress conditions within following gradient of temperature maxima: 26 degrees C (control chamber), 29, 32, 35, 38 and 41 degrees C. The relative humidity (RH) course and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) intensity were controlled via protocols. Additionally, drought stressed (dry) and well-watered (wet) treatments were established within each growth chamber. The plants were removed from the growth chambers after 14 days and they were left until a full maturity, exposed to actual weather conditions. The TGW at 14% moisture were evaluated for particular treatments within both winter wheat varieties. TGW was generally more affected by high temperatures under drought stress than in well-watered conditions. The results revealed that Pannonia TGW was much more affected by the water deficiency in combination with high temperature (particularly 38 and 41 degrees C) than Tobak TGW.

Effect of drought stress on selected winter wheat yield formation components within pot and field experiimental design
Hlaváčová, Marcela ; Pohanková, Eva ; Klem, Karel ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Trnka, Miroslav
The object of this study was to find out what is the behaviour of the same winter wheat variety (Bohemia) plants cultivated within pot and field experiment. Therefore, the main aim of this study was to verify (based on the pot experiment results) whether the pot experiment (that is limited by the soil area) does not substantially affect plant reactions. The pot experiment was carried out in growth chambers where daily temperature course, relative humidity (RH) and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) were set via protocols. The pots were exposed to the drought stress for 14 days with the daily maximum temperature 26 °C from noon to 2 p.m. The pots were split into 2 groups: (1) Dry where the soil moisture within pots were maintained below 30% of the maximum water holding capacity, (2) Wet where the soil moisture did not decrease below 70% of the maximum water holding capacity. The plants within Wet variant were considered as a control group. The pots were placed onto the concrete floor of a vegetation hall (where the plants were exposed to the weather conditions) prior and after stress regime exposition. The field experiment was conducted within experimental station in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem belonging to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the Czech Republic. The drought stress was established through the transparent roofs installed above plants’ tops level in the field. The control experimental plot without roofs was nearby there as well. The plants were harvested when the full maturity was reached and the selected yield formation components were evaluated.
