 Title: Analysis of throwing a football in American football by means of the surface electromyography.  Purposes: Describing and evaluating selected muscles integration structure during throwing a football movement and making a comparison of two kinds passes and valorize their usage.  Methods: Surface electromyography (SEMG) measure in combination with usage of simple kinematics analysis.  Results: Drop back pass is better for a faster or longer delivery football on target. Play-action pass is more suitable for non-stable situations in a game and does not need to cooperation of musclles to reach a target.  Key words: american football, play-action pass, drop back pass, surface electromyography, kinematics analysis Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Cross-border mergers of capital companies
Schýbal, Jan ; Čech, Petr (advisor) ; Horáček, Tomáš (referee)
57 Cross-border mergers of limited-liability companies Summary This thesis focuses on legal aspects of cross border mergers within the European Community, especially, the question of involvement of employees in a succession com- pany. It was the clue question which solution was a premise for removing the lack of progress that took for twenty five years. That time The European Commission was looking for a compromise that could help to resolve those different systems of participa- tion in company bodies in Member States of the European Union. It was trying to reach a balance in involvement of workers' representatives in the decision-makinng process within undertakings for the needs of the European Company. So, the long-lasting block of the progress led the European Commissioners to a decision of setting up a group of experts under the chairmanship of Etienne Davignon that should have come to suggest a solution which met everybody's concerns. The Group of Experts finally came up to ex- pectations and its final report became a basis of Directive 2001/86/ European Council (hereinafter ″The Directive″) that has been added to the European Company Statute. The Directive has been a substantial part of the Directive 2005/56/ European Council draft (hereinafter ″The 10th Directive″) because The 10th Directive in 16 th...

Melichar, Jan ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor)
Thesis title: Comparison of height and jumper parameters for young girl volleyball players in 2002 - 2009 Thesis aim: Based on the results obtained in the test tournaments in 2002 - 2009 (Kafka's memorial) create order 15-best placed volleyball players, under-reach at strike jump with rozbehem(heat?). The results compare for each yer, according to the selected somatic assumptions (body height, the range from the floor stretched arms) and selected performance assumptions (net reach - absolute jump, reach at strikejump with heat). Method: For my thesis examination I have looked up and processed results of standardized volleyball tests. Each year these tests are applied to the players at the regional youth centre championships. Nowadays these tests are rather applied to selections of the best regional players. Concerning girl players it refers to ,,the Memorial of Milan Kafka". The testing is provided by the organizer in coordination with commissioned co-workers of youth committee and youth coordinator. For processing and evaluating of the acquired data I have used the following mathematical-statistic methods: arithmetic mean, variation range and decisive anomaly. Results: I have transformed the final tests results into transparent graphs through which you can see apparent differences between...

Conflict resolution within WTO
Voglová, Andreya ; Balaš, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šturma, Pavel (referee)
The object of this work is first to describe evolution of the World Trade Organisation dispute settlement system, which originates from the dispute settlement system under the international agreement GATT 47. Originally it was the diplomatic system without explicit legal regulation, which changed into developed system based on legal regulation of the World Trade Organisation. Next part of this work consists of the analyse of current system regulated by the Dispute Settlement Understanding. The obligatory consultations remain a part of this system. If the agreement is not reached during the consultations, the two-stage proceeding by the panel of experts and by the Appellate Body takes part. The final part of the proceeding is implementation of the decision. Currently the review of the system is in process and many discussions on this issue takes place under WTO, so far with no conclusion. The last part of this work focuses on Banana case III.

[Sem zadejte text.] Abstract Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Iveta Najmanová, MCs First Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Přemysl Mladěnka, Pharm.D., Ph.D. Second Supervisor: Marie Vopršalová, Pharm.D., Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis: The effect of polyphenolic substances on vascular smooth muscle Polyphenolic substances are one of the most abundant secondary plant metabolites. Many substances from simple phenols with one benzene core to the polymeric compounds belong to these groups. Two groups, coumarins and flavonoids, were selected for this dissertation. The aim of this thesis was to analyse their effect on vascular smooth muscle in in vitro and in vivo conditions. In the case of coumarins, the aim was reached by writing of a review article. The effect of flavonoids, including their metabolites was experimentaly tested and some of the results have already been published. The first step in my research was to perform a screening of metabolites of quercetin, the most occuring flavonol in the human diet, and compare their vasorelaxant potential. Experiments were performed on isolated rat thoracic aorta. During the testing, the most effective metabolite was definitely 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid (3-HPPA), which was at least one order...

Radical view of subjectivism according to L. M. Lachmann and its implications for consumer theory
Panáčková, Eliška ; Špecián, Petr (advisor) ; Máslo, Lukáš (referee)
This Bachelor Degree Thesis is concerned with methodological approach of the radical subjectivist economist Ludwig M. Lachmann and application of his approach on consumer theory. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether is methodological approach of Lachmann compatible with the approach used in mainstream consumer theory, eventually how these approaches are different. The first part deals with the context of radical subjectivism, its pivotal points and the general differences in methodology of Lachmann and mainstream. Then I devote the work of Alfred Schutz, George L. S. Shackle and Max Weber, on the basis of which Lachmann reached the radical approach. In the practical part I apply radical subjectivism on the consumer theory and according to these result I evaluate these approaches are not compatible. Arguments of radical approach is not supported by strong evidence, and this approach is incapable of giving prediction more quality alternative of consumer theory.

D. C. Dennett's Approach: on the way to explanation of consciousness
Vraný, Martin ; Peregrin, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Palkoska, Jan (referee)
l'vEnd-Body problem has been a perpetual philosophical issue ever since the dawn of science, and the discussion of Descartes's dualism was the paradigmatic showroom of post:lible solutions for a long time. It wasn't perhaps until the mid-20th century that the debate underwent a considerable conceptual transformation thanks to two impctllses from science: the boom in brainscanning experiments and the boom in computing devices and informatics. The former provided philosophers and scientists with abundance of evidence of correlations between brain activity and mental states. The latter showed how higher mental activities, like pattern recognition Ol' playing chess, could be performed by fast computing machines running a relatively simple programme. Besides these two, there is another important source ať infiuence (only as far as the methodology is concerned) behaviourism. Despite its decline in 1960s marked by renewed interest in the study of mind, theorists were reluctant to rehabilitate the concept of consciousness.

Mpembe effect - reality or fiction? (Hysteresis by water freezing).
Böhm, Pavel ; Obdržálek, Jan (advisor) ; Rotter, Miloš (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to review theoretically and experimentally so-called Mpemba eect, where the initially hot water freezes sooner than the initially cold one. Based upon already published theoretical and experimental works, a list of circumstances possibly supporting this phenomenon was created and discussed. Some situations were veried experimentally. These experiments were carried out partly in laboratory using small amounts of distilled water (less than 1 ml), partly in "kitchen conditions" using the tap water (about 200 ml) and a commercial home refrigerator. The time of freezing dened by freezing of the entire body of water was measured using the inection points of cooling curves. Unlikely to the Mpemba eect (and likely to the usual expectations), usually the sample of cold water freezes sooner than the hot one. The Mpemba eect occured rarely, mostly when the cooler was covered by the layer of the snow and the hot vessel could melt through it to reach better thermal contact than the cold vessel. Other observed cases were mostly inconclusive.
