The influence of a specific movement therapy for bone density in female patients evaluated by bone DXA densitomentry
Kuba, Kryštof ; Strnad, Pavel (advisor) ; Jalovcová, Miroslava (referee)
Title: The influence of a specific movement therapy for bone density in female patients evaluated by bone DXA densitometry Objectives: The aim was to demonstrate the positive impact of movement on bone mineral density in patients suffering from postmenopausal osteoporosis. Summary: The main topic of this thesis is to evaluate potential benefits of an intensive program to the treatment of patients suffering from postmenopausal osteoporosis treated with the standard pharmacological therapy. The marker determined to evaluate the effect of change in bone density was DXA bone densitometry in the standard locations (lumbar spine, proximal femur). The evaluation of measurement results was performed after six-month program. Methods: The experiment, which was the substantial part of this thesis, was based on the method of comparison of input and output values in experimental and control groups. Each group consisted of 15 patients. Measured parameters of bone density were deliberately affected by means of physical interventions in the experimental group of patients. The results were processed and evaluated by Microsoft Excel and SAS 9. 2 programs. Results: Physical intervention is an essential part of therapy in patients suffering from postmenopausal osteoporosis. The experiment proved that a six-month...

Blecha, Vlastimil ; Vavroušková, Stanislava (advisor) ; Filipský, Jan (referee) ; Hons, Pavel (referee)
While growing strength of Dalit political organizations in India in the last years has been usually welcomed as a manifestation of rising self-confidence of Dalits and an expression of new orientation of the Indian society towards more social justice and equality, this thesis advocates for some restraint from an unwarranted optimism. It focuses on the impact of Dalit political movements and affirmative action on governance in Tamil Nadu rural societies and it sets the Dalit movement and the affirmative action on behalf of Dalits in the context of Dravidian political parties that have been the leading force in the Tamil Nadu since 1967. The main questions I am addressing in this thesis are: "Which factors/institutions are conducive to good governance/orderly rule in communities divided by caste while carrying out the project of social and political empowerment of Dalits?" "What is the impact of affirmative action and Dalit political parties on local communities and by extension on Tamil Nadu society?" The thesis uses neo-institutionalist theoretical framework and it is predominantly based on comparison of two different experiences of two Tamil Nadu villages with the Dalit movement and the affirmative action. I have collected most of the empirical data for the thesis during my two periods of fieldwork in...

Quantitative stress parameters were evaluated for individual tests as the mean value from a large amount of repetition in individually evaluation. Results: Tests proved it is not possible to confirm acute positive influence of dynamic stretching on all assesed parameters in different tests. In terms of average values of different tests a noticeable lower limbs improvement has been emerged at two out of three tests. Keywords: dynamic stretching, warm up, sport, injuries, regeneration, tennis

Further, it shows summary and any results of studies that aimed to influence the stability and prevention of the falls among seniors through various forms of physiotherapy. Most of these studies present the significance of balance and coordination exercises combined with resistance and endurance lokomotor training. The most frequent results of physiotherapy containing these elements are the improvement of the balance functions, the increase of muscle strength, the reduction of falls and the decrease of anxiety of falling. This bachelor thesis also includes a practical part containing casuistics of two patients at the risk of falling. After eight-week therapy of balance and fitness character, there was an improvement of several parameters of functional balance tests in both cases. There was also a questionnaire inquiry focused on the frequency of falls among seniors. There is a positive effect on the reduction of falls among seniors figuring from the results.

The thesis deals with the question of Egypt's role of a biased mediator towards the Palestinian side in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and its stabilising effects on the region in the form of a case study applying the theory of a biased mediator in conflict resolution on the Egyptian example. In addition to this, the goal of this thesis is to demonstrate the beneficial effects of different forms of mediation activities and their combination, including biased and neutral mediation, in the transformation of intractable and protracted conflicts into their tractable form, using the example of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The identification of Egypt's positive role in contributing to the resolving of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, of which it was once a warrying party, portrays the transformational capacity of conflicts. Kubů, Radka ; Strnad, Pavel (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
6 Abstract: Author: Radka Kubů Name of the thesis: Impact of complex movement therapy on bone density in patients with osteoporosis. Aim of the thesis: To prove a positive impact of physical training programme on bone density in patients with osteoporosis and to evaluate contribution of physical activity on success rate of osteoporosis treatment. Method: The thesis is based on the method of comparative experiment with the purpose to trace and prove a positive impact of the complex movement therapy on bone density at patients with diagnosed osteoporosis. The set of 25 women was divided into two groups, experimental and control ones. The research monitored parameters which were intentionally affected via controlled intervention in the experimental group. The method of the structured interview served for obtaining anamnestic data. The evaluation itself was carried out based on differences between both groups and within groups as well. Results have been processed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Results: Physical activity is an important part of therapy at patients with osteoporosis. The research proved that after 12 months of a complex movement therapy bone density is affected positively. Key words: osteoporosis, density, physical activity, therapy.

Petrová, Eva ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Jaroslav (referee)
Diploma thesis " Reconstruction of Jewish communities in the new Federal States of Germany - an example of Free State of Saxony" is dealing with the situation of Jews and Jewish communities in the former GDR after 1990. The thesis shows on the example of Saxony the existence of Jewish communities under the GDR-regime, further how they managed to deal with the events of 1990 and faced new challenges and situations after the unification of Germany. The communities are gradually building their position in the society and they are trying to present themselves to the public through a number of activities, building synagogues and community centres and set up positive links with the non-Jewish population. The increased activities of the Jewish communities in the society are not perceived in a positive way only, the evidence of which is a brief chapter on rightist extremism in Saxony in the final part of the thesis. Due to the topical character of the theme the thesis brings also a few interviews with representatives of Jewish communities and Christian-Jewish communities and literature search of periodicals concerned with Jewish issues. The thesis presents an actual picture of Jewish community in Germany as it is perceived outside and inside the communities themselves and in such a way as it hasn't been presented...

Poláková, Jana ; Sedláčková, Lucie (referee) ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (advisor)
A 'Type-ideal novel' (een 'idealtype van roman')', is according to the Flemish writer Ivo Michiels such a novel, 'that a film which can not be filmized of brought into the concrete milieu. It's a novel that does not want to compete with consumer industry, based on abundance of information, especially in the film.' (Janssens, 5) In the thesis Literary Analysis of Orchis militaris, a book by Ivo Michiels we have analysed how does a novel look like, written by an author of such a vision. The focus ov this thesis is the literary analysis of Orchis militaris (1968), which includes both formal and thematic analysis. Moreover, I integrated this book into the literary-historical context, which indicates the connection between this book and the Flemish, Dutch and world literature - especially important was the experimental literature of 50th and 60th and the French nouveau roman. During the research I managed to define the typical features of this work, a.o. the expanding sentences, almost forming a labyrinth, not censored inner monologue, very slow time, unclear boundaries between individuals and the images, the characters, which do not have any character - the only things we knoě about them, are the situations in which the characters are, there is no perspective of future or direction of movement, in the book is...
