Acidification of soils, methods of suppression and support and the importance of hydrolytic acidity
NOVÁK, Jiří
Literature search was processed, which were explained in general terms related to acidification, methods of formation and repression. Acidification is one of the main causes of soil degradation. It has considerable influence on soil properties and plants that primarily affects the mobility change some elements. Second part was based on periodic measurements of the Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture (CISTA) measure rates of exposure of soil acidification in the Czech Republic. From the obtained data shows that the rate of acidification is large and covers almost the entire territory of the Czech Republic. It was also found that the most endangered species of agricultural land is permanent grassland, in terms of positions are threatened by acidification of mountain, foothill soils and land on the hills. The soils in the lowlands have proved to be relatively stable to acidification.

Záhradníková, Lea ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
Bachelor thesis discusses the social impact of monetary reform conducted in 1953 in Czechoslovakia and is devoted primarily to the impact on the working class, which was a support base for the communist regime. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part describes the social and economic background before the monetary reform, the second chapter is devoted to the causes of the reform process itself and includes the analysis of social impacts, which are examined through a change in the standard of living of the whole population. The third chapter focuses on selected part of society -the working class, the conditions of their life and changes in living standard of workers' families after conducting the reform. The chapter also contains an analysis of wage and price changes of the population, which demonstrates one of the most negative aspects of the reform. The last part focuses on the years after the reform with its ongoing influence.

Effect of ethylsilicate consolidating agents on behaviour and properties of glaukonitic sandstone used to building of St. Vitus´ Cathedral
Drdácký, Miloš ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Valach, Jaroslav
This report is focused on testing and evaluating of properties of chosen consolidating agends for concervation of relief bust in external triforium of St. Vitus´ Cathedral on Prague Castle (CZ). All tested agends contained ethyl ester of silicic acid (ethylsilicate) as active ingredient and were one-component. Penetration deepness of agends into sandstone and sandstone properties after application consolidating agends: bending strenght, modulus of elasticity, thermal expansion, vapour water permeability, hygric expansion were observed. The evaluated agends behaviour very similarly and there are no dramatically better or worse agends. All agends penetrate quite well into sandstone and relatively deep and increase strength of sandstone after impregnation.

Dramatist and performer Werner Schwab. A contribution to Austrian postmodernism
Narwová, Michaela ; Tvrdík, Milan (advisor) ; Zbytovský, Štěpán (referee)
The thesis gives a comprehensive picture of Werner Schwab, Austrian playwright and performer. He ranked among the most performed German-speaking authors at the time of his death in 1994. The main objective of this work, whose basis lies in Schwab's dramatic production, is to provide a comprehensive monographic study. The thesis deals not only with the dramas, but also with their relationship to the theatrical production of Thomas Bernhard and Elfriede Jelinek. The chapter on the author's personal life is followed by chapters "Postdramatic Theatre", "Theatre of Cruelty", and "Folk Play", where you can find the answer to the question of the place of Schwab's drama in the overall concept of literature at the end of the 20th century. Particular attention is paid to the unique language usage he developed, called "Schwabisch" after the author.

Metamorphoses of Narrator in Novels of Jaromír John
Kleňha, Petr ; Mravcová, Marie (advisor) ; Holý, Jiří (referee)
Metamorphoses of Narrator in Novels of Jaromír John This diploma paper focuses on the function of the narrator and his various forms in John's prosaic work. It deals with the issue of the construction of the fictional world and how the narrator influences the reader's understanding of the described events. Primarily, we try to compare the narrative categories of the main contemporary concepts as influenced by Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan, Franz Stanzel and Lubomír Doležel. It is our terminology base. Theoretical understanding of the narrator is the basis for the analysis of John's fiction from the aspect of narrative types applied to a selected sample of author's works: the anthology of the tales with war theme Večery na slamníku, novels Moudrý Engelbert, Výbušný zlotvor, Pampovánek, Honda Cibulků; marginally Estét and other works. Concurrently this work aims to describe construction methods that are typical for John's creative style - it is mainly the use of irony, the principle of collage and documentary elements. It shows that the author's work at that time belonged to the experimental stream of Czech prose. Also, we observe the relationship between author's prose work and his aesthetic concept. We hope that we were able to, at least partially, explain the literary style of Jaromir John. His importance and...

Covariance function of space-time series
Tetíková, Vendula ; Prášková, Zuzana (referee) ; Cipra, Tomáš (advisor)
Space-time series and their covariance function are very important in areas such as meteorology, hydrology and evolutionary biology. This diploma thesis concentrates on space-time covariance functions and on the way how this covariance functions describe space-time interaction. It focuses mainly on stationary nonseparable covariance functions but also on separable ones. The aim is to introduce main methods of creation covariance functions. In practice the estimating of covariance function is different, therefore there are, at the conclusion, examples of solutions and their comparison.

The role of actin dynamics in auxin transport
Stillerová, Lenka ; Cvrčková, Fatima (advisor) ; Schwarzerová, Kateřina (referee)
Phytohormones are signalling molecules directing physiological and developmental processes in plants. One of them, auxin, is involved in the diverse regulation of plant processes, e.g. embryogenesis, organogenesis, vascular tissue formation and tropisms. Auxin transport is polar. Auxin isdistributed via the phloem, utilizing specialized membrane transport proteins; small amount diffuse also through the membrane. Aux1/Lax transporters mediate auxin entry into the cell, auxin efflux is mediate mostly by PIN transporters, which are the crucial factors in determining the directionality of auxin flow. Asymmetric localization of membrane PIN proteins depends on vesicle transport from Golgi to the plasma membrane. Vesicles are transported along actin filaments which are dynamically rebuilted by regulators. They are maintaining asymmetric cellular localization of the auxin transport proteins. PIN proteins are cycling between endosomes and plasma membrane. Cycling is regulated by ARF-GEF proteins and serin/threonin kinase (PID, PINOID). Newly synthesized PIN proteins are equally distributed in the plasma membrane, afterwards they are asymmetrically redistributed. Regulation of actin filaments formation and remodelling is the crucial factor for transport of vesicles with PIN proteins. Many proteins which regulate...

Actual situation in business insurance
Malík, Filip ; Ducháčková, Eva (advisor) ; Daňhel, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis is concerned with current topics of business insurance risks. The goal of thesis is to explore actual business risks in the world and ways of protection, analyze development of business insurance market in the Czech Republic, categorize business insurance risks and in conclusion describe selected insurance products in detail, which will influence the market structure of business insurance most in future I suppose. These product are Key person insurance (Keyman), Directors and Officers liability insurance (D&O) and Environmental insurance. My analysis showed that the most important global business risks currently are economic risks, business interruption risks and risks of natural disasters. Businessmen in the following period will have to deal primarily with the threat of regulation and compliance, maintain continued access to credit and recover from economic recession. The business insurance market is growing slightly and also provides great potential for growth in the future. Major trend in the field of business insurance last years is stagnation and decline of insurance rates. It can be expected that the structure of business insurance market will be affected mostly by liability insurance.

Prague ensembles of contemporary music between 1990-2004
Práve izolovanost a omezenost možnosti zprítomnovat novou tvorbu ohrožuje soudobou hudební tvorivost nejvíce. Není divu, že si skladatelé pomáhají vlastními silami. Po roce 1989 zacínají zakládat vlastní komorní soubory, kde svou tvorbu mohou prezentovat a konfrontovat s...
