Evaluation of the Financial Situation and the Proposals to its Improvement

This bachelor thesis focuses on the financial position assessment of a selected analysed company during the period from 2011 to 2014. The aim of this paper is to analyse the financial situation of the company as well as identify deficiencies and make proposals to address the problematic areas. The theoretical part deals, in particular, with a financial analysis whereby the selected company is assessed in the analytical part. The conducted analyses showed deficiencies which are discussed in the proposal part. The proposals present recommendations for the improvement of the company management in the following years.

The theoretical part describes and clarifies basic concepts and methods related to the stated topic and provided by various authors. The second part concentrates on the practical calculation of individual indicators, which were mentioned in theoretical part. It also includes analysis of financial statements of company CHRISTEYNS s.r.o.

The Diploma thesis deals with the appraisal of the company’s financial situation for the 2010 - 2014 period. The first part of the thesis documents the theoretical solutions which are then applied in the practical part of the thesis. The second part includes the introduction of the analysed company, calculations of the financial indicators, their interpretation and comparison with the recommended values. The last part of the thesis focused on steps of the proposals. These steps should help the company to get better financial situation.

The focus of this master thesis is the analysis of the financial situation of a particular company from 2008 - 2013. The first part of the thesis provides a theoretical description of the methods that are used in the assessment of the financial situation of the company. The following part of the thesis provides facts about the company. The diploma thesis conducted a strategic analysis of external and internal surroundings. The financial assessment of the company is based on the analysis of financial statements of the company. In the final part of the thesis the findings are evaluated and solutions proposed accordingly. The implementation of the outlined solutions should lead to the gradual improvement of the financial situation of the company.

An evaluation of economic development of the company Mlékárna Valašské Meziříčí, spol. s r.o.

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to analyse the economic development of the company Mlékárna Valašské Meziříčí, spol. s r.o. in the period 2010-2014 by using selected tools of financial analysis and to evaluate the company status with respect to related industry branch CZ-NACE 10.5 Manufacture of dairy products. The first part addresses a theoretical background and gives an overview of particular methods and procedures that are used in the second practical part of the thesis. Practical part introduces the profile of analysed company and provides an insight to Czech milk processing industry. The analysis of absolute and differential indicators is followed by calculation of profitability, liquidity, activity and debt financial ratios. The credibility and bankruptcy models like Altman´s Z-score and index IN05 were also chosen to evaluation. Finally the spider analysis is provided to compare selected company financial ratios with relevant industry averages. The summary of results and recommendation for future company development are given at the end of thesis.

Intercompany comparison of company services

The dissertation work concentrates on an intercompany comparison of Czech Post Office with other companies whose subject of activity are similar and to find out its standing ratio within the evaluation standard of the companies and the best industry values. The theoretical part concentrates on the ways and methods of comparison including the evaluation within its industry, logistics and storage. In the practical part, the analysis of 15 companies is presented based on ratio indicators from 2010 to 2014. Using a cluster analysis tool, the whole file was reduced and then one with the best values was chosen by using a math-statistical method. The last but not least important step was using the Spider analysis to compare the best company, with good average within the industry branch, with the specified company, and on those basics, certain measures were suggested towards the improvement of the company's situation.

This paper discusses the economic analysis, its purpose and financial instruments. The selected tools of economic analysis are then applied to the company Alpiq Generation (CZ) s.r.o. Methodological part of this paper is focused on a description of the economic analysis and description of the individual tools, techniques and models. The application part of this paper is focused on the evaluation of financial health of the selected company on the basis of selected methods of economic analysis. The conclusion consists of assessment of the company's economic situation and the analytical tools.

Financial analysis of the selected company

The objective of this thesis is to conduct a financial analysis of the company KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ, a.s. Theoretical and methodological part is given to the description of elementary methods used in financial analysis, such as absolute, differential and financial ratios, models of corporate bankruptcy prediction, Economic Value Added and spider graph. In practical-analytical part, these methods are applied on the data of the selected company from period 2008 to 2012. This thesis includes an outline to the differences between Czech accounting legislature and IFRS that have an impact on the explanatory power of financial analysis.
